Questionable Questing

Are you thinking a monster of the week story like Supernatural with a slowly escalating background threat, or a more direct threat and mystery they need to kill now like in Canon Hellsing? Because either choice will have a pretty big influence on how I approach the world building.
Andy333
Andy333
The first one will be slower with an emphasis on hunting monsters, investigating their source and their weaknesses as well as their general history and maybe the influence they've had on the world. While the second it'll be one big conspiracy group and trying to stop their plan to summon some kind of beast or ultimate weapon. What kind of story do you want?

Former as latter has been done in canon

I like monster of the week stories anyway, but I just wanted to make sure if that's the direction you wanted to go.

Well, you mentioned you wanted Interga to breed an army of monsters. How does that work? lol. How many can she do at a time? How fast does it work? What influences the quality of these monsters? Are they still human enough with human emotions and goals? How fast does it take for them to grow up?
Andy333
Andy333
And most importantly, how does Interga feel about them? Are they just pawns in a never ending shadow war for her to freely use? Her precious children, she must protect? Somewhere in-between as her emotions fight with her duty she promised she would upheld to her dead father?

Number questions like that are not for my brain. You hit that up. I think it would be cool to have as a matriarch of nightmares while she is trying to protect england or the US or whatever we set this version of Hellsing.

That middle one is great.

Well I think the kids need to have some kind of accelerated growth. It's the only way they'll be useful unless Interga wants to wait like twenty years for her first path of soldiers to be ready. plus it'll tie in with the difficult emotions they are causing. These are not normal children, they are born faster, they grow faster, they have an unnatural loyalty to Interga.

I like the accelerated growth idea.

These are not normal human children. And yet, Interga still loves them. But for the exact numbers, which I don't think should ever be totally exact, I'm thinking the pregnancy lasts about the same, maybe shaving off a few months. But the children fully grow up in only a couple years, so they are still a definite investment of time and love, but not enough you couldn't mass breed an army.

An army of vampire monsters serving their father and mother. Alucard having his Countess

Favored sons and daughters, those who become strongest get to be the main lovers of Integra

And they have personalities and wants like a normal person does, but again they have this weird disconnect between the maturity of an adult but the life experience of a child. They know how to process emotions and how to maturely handle difficult situations like death or comforting someone sad, but they don't know how to drive or for example what a store or city looks like. Adds a nice unsettling element.

They are taught to kill, fight, war, and bleed. To hunt and devour monsters
Andy333
Andy333
The same way Interga was basically groomed by her father to be the perfect leader of Hellsing, just like he was by generations before him. Yet she and her family isn't happy. And even scarier she's the last member of her family. Maybe a curse. Maybe the many enemies they've made knocking them down one by one.
Andy333
Andy333
But in-between breeding an army Interga needs to make a heir as well while dealing with her complicated feeling about the word family. While dealing with a distrustful government and Alucard who's increasingly testing the contract that's holding him back.
