Questionable Questing

It's like eating McDonald's, you know it's bad for you and probably made of plastic, but sometimes they just hit the spot. Which is funny enough, I just had some Mcdonalds like an hour ago.

I watched a little bit of it, but I felt the main MC was kind of dull and I really don't like the formula it was obviously ripping off. I don't know what you call it, but a lot of manga's like to do this thing where they take your stereotypical fantasy genre from the West with elves and dragons, then boom insert some random subversion as a hook for the story and then boom.

Like with Goblin Slayer where the subversion is that little monsters are just as dangerous as big monsters, oh no. But all the powerful adventures don't care, so it's up to our selfless hero to fix it. Which this is a fine hook, it did it better than a lot of other shows, but what about afterwards? Like dungeon Meshi, the hook is what if adventures also cooked the monsters they slayed?

Yet afterwards, you have some very interesting world building and complicated monster design with every monster in the series having a believable life cycle and predator prey relation with its surroundings. Then the mystery surrounding the elves and the Lion Satan at the end to finish on. Goblin Slayer doesn't really have any of that and is probably why it fell off so fast.

Read Manga is my advice and I like Goblin Slayer as this traumatized character who has issues relating with others who slowly makes friends who help him live better. My thought was Goblin Slayer Tarzan. Goblins raid and kill but explore this more. Goblins adopting kids and feeding them corrupted blood.

Our goblin and orc lets make orcs and goblin related, our green skin tarzan grows up a beast and as a rite of passage has enslaved his mother and risen high in his tribe.

Never really been interested in Goblins to be honest. lol. Don't know if that makes me racist against green things. I like goblin shorts stacks though.,

Well I guess what I'm trying to say, is that what makes this special? is it focusing on this character's internal struggle between the human and ape world like ion Tarzan? Is it dealing with the goblin society that doesn't ever fully accept him despite how much he tries? Is it the civilized man being stockholmed into a savage after he gets captured? What's the draw?

Taking the raping conquering hentai orc and replace goblins with orcs and giving them some depth and higher culture. Lord knows there are plenty of hentai orc rapes and dominates elf kingdom and gives nothing in return for substance. Elf raised by orcs.

Well fish out of water, seeing a spoiled eleven prince adapting to a new world and culture is always fun.

One of my favorite things in history to read about is the first meetings between the Spanish and the Natives, it's like two aliens interacting with each other. lol. Just totally different cultures, beliefs, and technologies clashing against each other. A lot of weird Oman's appeared before the Spanish showed up too, strangely enough. Stuff like comets, visions, even an eclipse happened pretty close by.

Don't know if its just native misremembering because of the trauma of the whole event, but it helps explain why the Spanish were at first seen as gods or at least holy people.

Road to El Doreado talked about them seeing the spanish as gods which I think is far fetched

Road to El Dorado brings up a idea for fun between us. Recently had someone explain Lorcana the disney card game to me. How would you be interested in a Hentai version of disney?

Well in real life, again the Spanish were so alien and weird looking to the native's that there was a healthy amount of hysteria all around. Some of them thought the Spanish were, gods, devils, monsters, whatever. Didn't help that several horrific plagues that killed upwards of forty or sixty percent of the population followed them.
