Define predatory and I like how Mark without being edgy us antagonistic in a way fitting a high schooler but it's off. Not quite normal, conflict driven. Fighting feeds into more forms of fighting for him

Predatory in that he constantly pushes people. He goes on a date, even if the girl is only comfortable with a kiss he leans for more. In a group if someone teases him he has to have the last laugh or line. He drives a car then he goes past the speed limit. Someone gets a hundred on a test and he didn't, then he needs to beat them the next time.

It's why despite being very popular on the surface, he doesn't have a lot of real friends. Everything's a competition or a game to him and it gets exhausting to be around. Except for guys like Will, who don't even bother competing and just go along with Mark's craziness. And the reason the heroes and sidekicks are okay with it is because most heroes are very intense people to begin with, it comes with their nature.

And if you ignore Mark's competitive nature and his love for fighting, he's one of the chilliest people you could ever know. the kind of guy who could get shot in the stomach and then laugh it off like it's the funniest joke in the world.

But I'm really trying to showcase the psychology of a version of Mark that would've totally gone along with his dad's plan to conquer earth and kill its heroes if he asked without making him a mindless psycho, a mindless simp for his dad, or a completely different character from his canon counterpart

I'm trying to balance this version of Mark being his own character with his own goals and arc, while at the same time being similar enough you could see how canon Mark could end up here.
