Questionable Questing

Where does the beast come from? How does the church control them? How did our MC slip underneath the surface and not get caught by anyone?

Beasts refer to the inner soul, a demon possessing people's blood and hearts. Fallen angels who's essence now serves as a potent possessing dark side people can channel for power. With some few holding the last shards of those celestial beings who did not Fall and kept the purity that burns the base world.

Wielding the fragments of the broken heavens is wounding to body and spirit. While the keeping of a Beast's power is vitalizing.

So does everyone have a inner beast they can learn to channel through training or meditation? And God that sentence looks like it belongs in an edgy fanfiction. lol. Or is there other special requirements they need like those celestial shards to supercharge it and start the process? Which I'm also guessing, the church controls most of the shards and that's how they can maintain control over the beasts.

Control of the shards is vital for the Church and that is the thing. All have Beasts but to awaken it and shape it into one of the kinds of Beasts is something else. Awakening is seen as a heretical act in most cases and Beasts viewed as dangerous monsters used by the Church or outlawed. Our protag is not regulated.

So what's the plot? The MC discovering and trying to control or hide his powers from everyone around him? Is the main bad guy going to be the church or some other beast user that's slowly building an army in secret? Is the beast a liberation of your inner desires or a corruption by an alien entity? What's your idea for the story?

Basic plot is find the balance between hero of his nation and roguish ethically dubious use of Beast mind control to get the sex and harem he wants while raising in statues. Figuring out a moral code for his actions and plots. And more the former then the latter.

Sorry about that, I got lost in the sauce making the mother of all rants. lol. Stupid writing just pisses me off so much.

But the balance of using his power for good, even though it's irresistibly corrupting him and dragging him to use it for evil. Are all beasts inherently corrupting and evil? Can they be controlled or contained? And how does it spread to other people, if your talking about building a harem?

What was the rant? And often via willful sharing of blood with intent to offer power. And ya know, I'm shying away from pure Evil. Beasts are beings of passion. Of Desire and Instinct and Action. Which can be good or bad, depending on the desires. Some harness their Beasts to be noble and others don't. Some are like our protag and in the end too selfish. Even if he uses it for good, his vice is sex.

Here's my big beautiful rant, and no I don't have an NTR fetish it just fit the tale I was weaving better.

But pure passion, that's an interesting concept. I mean I have a passion for eating and reading, I wonder how you'll interpret these more mundane passions and try to integrate with your magic system. And God it's annoying I had to break these two posts up since links count in the final word count.

Reading, that is a interesting thought. The core idea of the protag is he uses sex magic. How much can he uses before it is super evil vs ethically dubious?

Well if this magic comes from his inner self and it's inherently sexual, then that must me that your MC's inherently a deviant even if he tries to pretend otherwise. Now the question is how hard does he deny it and where does it come from? And that's the basis for his character arc. Why does he deny how he feels, and why does he feel the need to control the woman in his life?

But I sleep. Hopefully you got some good ideas from it.
