Chinese fantasy web stories are weird, they have this trope where "ancient families have powerful geniuses who seal themselves away in a giant block of not-jade not-crystal 'origin' that lets them skip a couple (eons)(millennia)(etc. years) and unseal themselves just in time for the 'story' to arrive"
So anyway, this "Isekai as Uchiha Madara, but then I turned into a girl" story is nice

the thing is, if you look at it from a macro level, the land of fire is basically in a similar geopolitical situation as china; there's a powerful island nation to the east, a powerful nation beyond impassable terrain to the south-west, powerful invaders from the north, and surrounded by many smaller nations

I really like this one chatroom type story where the story starts with all the other members of the chatroom dying moments after joining; Old Man Madara, Depressed Miko Kikyo, and Some Random Spider in An Average Japanese High School. And then they are all still there lmao
like, yeah the MC being a white furred saiyan god of destruction plus kaioshen is a bit much, but the opening is still good

Like these Chinese trash writers when they write Shanghai, there's no mention of the fucking water, or when they write "The Capitol", they don't write about whether the story takes place in which ring road, or when they write New York City (you know, those MCU stories) they act like it's just this one giant block of a city aaaaaa
It seems like a lot of writers can't even integrate local landmarks into their stories, especially for well known cities, which is why they more often than not make up a city for their story to take place in instead

I saw this one story that was really fun where the AuthorSI gains the ability to fuse with parallel selves and travel to those alternate worlds, and he starts off in anime highschool world where Bunnygirl Senpai anime is part of that world, so he has Adolescence Syndrome, and uses it to simulate Danmachi falna, and then go to fantasy animes to seduce elves by having MC's alternate selves be their childhood friend -
