  • Hi, hello! So I'm old enough to know this is rude, but just wanted to ask, you make great stories.

Are most of your fics on hiatus or abandonded? Im specifically referring to Too Badass For This World and the PJO/Fate fics.

Hiatus. I plan to get back to them eventually, but I want to finish what fics I currently have first.
Like just because it's milk and toast doesn't mean we can't add some honey and chocolate syrup to the milk then top it with some whipped cream and maybe it's sourdough toast so we add some olive oil, garlic, and butter and grill it with some cheese, maybe put a couple pieces of bacon on it too, "mmm, so milquetoast" right? But I guess that's not how the world works, alas.

I think the context of the original saying was perhaps that it's good to the point of being common, the standard.

Now that I think about it, making Pokemon learn moves is sort of like having a human learn a new profession or skill. Like telling a human to learn how to drive a tank or do open heart surgery or whatever. Man, Pokemon must hate having to learn like half a dozen TMs in a row, that's like going through K-12 education multiple times...

On a separate note if humans could gain knowledge from TMs, I'd so fucking want that in real life.

I wanna learn a new language in an afternoon without having to spend years studying it.

Isn't that what duolingo or programs like it says it does lol

Also, you know, in the series and in fanfics, usually people stereotype what kinds of food pokemon like to eat, such as pikachu and ketchup, or different food flavors matching different pokemon types

Turning it around, you'd have pokemon stereotyping, for example, "Some humans really like to eat chicken, watermelon, and purple drink"

I have the concept of a 'Super Silver' isekai cheat in my head, but all I have is a name and nothing else.

Jumpchain document of all the various powers silvers MCs have had. So like
A budget celestial grimoire or dojo.
    magic9mushroom
    magic9mushroom
The superpower of being the second-best at everything. Everything. Second-best at punching in the world. Second-most durable in the world. Second-best at each specific type of magic in the world. Second-best at social-fu in the world. Second-best at planning in the world.
    magic9mushroom
    magic9mushroom
Unless there's a Scion-equivalent "best at everything", this is definitely a cheat power. Probably also leads to keeping a dungeon full of captured "best in world"s, as killing them would cause the cheater to scale down to be the new second-best at that thing.
On this day, I ran into four stories where, in some manner or form woven into the plot, the MC isekaied to the past or something like that and found out after a while that his wife is actually Zeus, King of the Gods, who transformed into a woman to fuck him, and only found out because an angry Hera showed up, causing them to have angry threesome, with Zeus as a girl the whole time

    wtf
After isekaing to another world, you built some androids companions whom you named Ms. 2B, Ms. A2, Ms. Chachamaru, Ms. Mahoro, Ms. 18, Ms. 21, Ms. Nono, Ms. Kosmos, Ms. Chii, and Ms. Ikaros, and then you lived happily ever after. The End.

Like for example, there's this one trope/genre where "MC is the fake (or real) daughter of a wealthy family, finds out, the real (or fake) daughter returns, ruins her life, kills the family who loves her, etc.... and MC reborns at the start and takes revenge"

So the video author, she'd "untwist" it, like "MC is reborn, instant revenge, enemies dead, happily ever after, the end".
    d.fish
    d.fish
Or sometimes, there's short videos like "My mom and dad were arguing, so mom said she's going to hit dad's daughter in revenge, and then dad hit mom's daughter in revenge, and then my older brother was angry at both of them for ruining the family, so he hit their daughter in revenge, and so I died. The end."

But honestly, sometimes I wish I just had a bunch of androids who loved me wholeheartedly, and lived happily ever after.

    lmao this line

"Soon, the girl's delicate body began to fall like the Maginot Line."
One day, as a Pokémon trainer, I told my Ditto to turn into me so that I can ditch class for a carefree day, like that movie where that Ferris guy had a day off, but Ditto transformed into a brain in a jar.

You're whole life is a lie. You're in a simulation.

Or Ditto was basically telling you "subtly" that brain in a jar is all you're reduced down to.

You chose this. It was more convenient than having to go in and out of the pod to play pokemon. Having your memories deleted just makes it more immersive.

Please do not worry, dear customer. This immersion breaking interaction has been logged and sent to our expert support staff. It will be patched in an upcoming update.
In the meantime, please go to sleep at your convenience, so your memories can be ammended, and your journey resumed without further disruption.

Fun fact! You have reported this bug [1,678] times!
It still makes no sense to me that someone would just abandon a Gengar, just for Ash to pick up, you know like that is not a easy Pokémon to raise, holy shit
    d.fish
    d.fish
Well, they were planning to ditch Ash for new, more generic protagonists, after all
    Silver W. King

I know, but Ash had been our 10 year old protagonist for ten years (I don't know how long Pokemon had been airing). They should have given him a suitable farewell.

It's been almost thirty years since he's been around, first appearing april first (lol) 1997

technically it was an alright farewell, he beat literally everyone in the world in the world championship

but it kind of goes against the established world view of how champions and regions and lore and stuff work for it to happen
You isekai as the unwanted youngest son of the largest, most powerful aristocratic family of a medieval-like mid-fantasy world. All your elder brothers have authorities to rule, lands to govern, armies to lead, etc. but you're left in the capitol of the empire with a mere mansion equal to the royal palace, a mere fortune equal to a kingdom, and a bothersome three thousand beauties in your harem, and nothing else
These stories where MC is in some kind of super apocalypse but has a presidential bunker stuffed into an RV and just drives around picking up harem members and picnicking feels so cozy, like curling up in thick blankets on a comfortable bed while it's raining outside
"It's all part and parcel, the whole genie gig. Phenomenal cosmic powers! Itty bitty living space!"
You get phenomenal cosmic powers of the Wizard variety.
What do you design your living space to look like?
You gain nine trillion simp dollars, which are like real dollars, except you can only use them to simp for really hot girls, and when you simp for them, you gain delicious cash rebate, but if they fall in love with you due to being smashed by your bricks of cash, then you don't get delicious cash rebates, only useless and unnecessary superpowers instead, like invincibility
Since ancient times, good and evil cannot coexist. If I don't go to hell, who will? If I don't start a harem and have massive orgies, who will?
I think the concept of weaker but more interesting worlds being a reflection of powerful but more generic worlds is really fun. Like, you kind of see it in Marvel's Asgard with the 'Gods above Gods' thing, but not really. I mean like, in fan/web stories, they'd sometimes show up like a boring setting like Mondaiji would 'reflect' onto a lesser world like DXD, and sort of influence its cycle of karma/history

One place it showed up in is some mythology-derived/inspired works, for example, Tianlong Babu, which is like a martial arts Lord of the Rings, in how its influence on wuxia genre is like. Basically, its initial premise was based off of Indian (Hindu?) myth; for example two girls who are really good at disguise and music is inspired by Gandharvas, who serves Indra, who in the story is their master
    d.fish
    d.fish
Then a fan/web story would connect the two and have, like, an overpowered version of Indra look at this fragile world that's like a soap bubble to him and find it amusing, or send an avatar down onto the world, or possess the 'reflection' of himself there, etc.

An exploration of some idea of existence outside of existence, I guess. Like how in Men in Black you have aliens play with the universe like a marble

Like xianxia cultivator realms, or plato's cave, or how Midgard is a lower realm than Asgard and so on.

You isekai to a seemingly parallel earth, live a normal life, during a business trip you check into a classy hotel and decide to check out the bar, when you notice a Keanu Reeves looking guy in a suit walk in, dripping wet with others blood and a gun in his hand, muttering something about a dog
