Make a post anywhere on the main forum (which creating this thread did), get it Approved by a mod (hi), then wait ~20 minutes for the system to update. So, just wait.

Some forums lock profile editing until your account is approved or you've made a few posts. Could also be a restriction set by admins.
I'd give it a bit of time and try again later, or check if there's an account activation step you missed. If it's still locked, best option is to message a mod/admin
