Am I allowed to talk about bad portrayals of religion in fiction?

I wish to complain about inaccurate and/or biased portrayals of certain religions in certain anime and modern shows. Am I allowed to or does that violate Rule 8?

It probably shouldn't, unless you think you're going to tie some of those religions to actual current political issues (say, go on a side rant about sharia law or whatever else hot topic of religion in politics you can think of)

To be frank, I would be most relieved to have actual moderators tell me. Rules are tricky things to interpret on internet forums, as any SB regular knows.

Portrayals of religion are not a topic that is flatly prohibited by Rule 8. However, they are sensitive for many people, so they'll come in for mod scrutiny to ensure they aren't causing problems.

In your case in particular, we do not want you to continue to pursue the question of Cambrian's Nasu fiction. Don't start any threads on that topic. If you want to discuss something that is unrelated to that, it is not prohibited, but think carefully to avoid causing fights.

I never had any intent to. I simply wondered where the fic is because it was to my tastes.

All I want to know is if I can criticize historically inaccurate portrayals of religions, because I'm a bit of a history hobbyist.
