This is wrong, so very very wrong. It wasn't supposed to go this far, to fuck up this badly. it was just a game. Her friends would come over, pretend to summon a ghost with some bullshit, internet ritual, get liquored up and have some good laughs. So how the hell did this thing get through appear? Her friends are almost all dead, all but Elizabeth. It's Almost over, they can see the front door and god willing, can get the hell out if this nightmare carnival her home has become. And so they run. They almost make it too, almost but the abomination grabs hold of Elizabeth.

"Aaaaaaaaahhhh. Please! Help me!" She screams, her friend looks back, and for a second, almost considers it. But she turns away, and runs. Runs, from the monster, from her friends screams as she is devoured, through the tears, the blood, and urine. She runs out the door and into the night. Never stopping, always running. She can't run far enough though. They never do.

You wake up from your sleep in a similar mood to a recently awoken bear. Tired, angry, and looking to kill whatever woke you up. Unfortunately since you can't afford to keep breaking alarm clocks the offender will have to go unpunished. You go to check your messages. Hopefully today will be like any other today. You can go to work at the comic shop, no weirdness will occur, and nothing will happen.

Fuck. Oh well... at least we can hope the request is something sane. Just, selling a charm, or materials, or whatever. Sighing you get dressed, pack your shit. and head to work.

Your workplace the Black7 comic shop, is a small shop in town that you always thought would make a better name for a club.Normally it is what you would always like it to be. a quiet little comic shop that managed to do well enough for itself. However that is not really the case. The shop is actually more of a backroom occult parlor where practitioners of the mystic arts come to buy material's artifacts and reagents for whatever they are doing.

However there is an occasion where the magi/witch/ unfortunate everyday S.O.B will come in with a more... practical problem. problems like, I really need this expensive item that is damn near impossible to get to, or how to i convince the wizard who is after me to back off, or how do i get this unfathomable being from the edge of reality and only marginally safe to observe with my sanity intact from eating my face. then they call you personally. You and a few fellow employees are tasked with solving the "practical problems" of certain clients. A magic merc if you will. and as you head to work your current headache fighting to subside, you can only hope that things are only on "irritated brownie" level.

[X] you were just some guy who discovered he had the ability to use magic. while not exactly powerful, you tend to be rather creative with your spell craft.

Magic specialty:

[X] Elemental manipulation. Classic magic. you can bend an element to your will and use it to fight for you. will necessitate concentration to control though. and some threats will obviously be immune toward your attacks. higher levels mean better spells and more elements to control

[X] Necromancy. Through methods better left unsaid you can revive people from death to fight for you. although weaker than a demon they are tenacious and very numerous. You can also restore their consciousness to their bodies. but that can be... rather unpredictable. dependent upon number of corpses available. (There are always a few.) which are determined by dice rolls. number and quality of zombies depends on level.

[X] Summoner: You can make contracts with the spirits, demons, and divine entities of the world to fight for you. They can be rather difficult in their upkeep. New contracts require tense negotiations and you need a totem to represent each summon spirit. higher level means more powerful entities you can contract.

[X] Alchemist: While not exactly a combat type You are extremely adept in potion making. as such, poisons, enhancements, and devastating damage can all be kept in a tiny bottle. please handle with care. will require materials and planning. higher levels mean better potions.

[X] Enchanter: You rely more on your stuff to fight. fortunately that stuff packs a punch. You can enchant your equipment with certain effects and enchant items further yourself instead of finding another guy. will require materials

Trusty blade infused with magic. good for choppin' off heads or dueling a ghost knight. can be further enchanted but will require materials and at least one person who knows what their doing. Unfortunately it is rather conspicuous to carry around, and is kinda heavy.You are not really trained in sword wielding though. +1 against demons nicknamed "The sword of justice" by a fellow coworker.

[X] Baseball bat. An aluminum baseball bat found in the trunk of a used car you bought. the Bat isn't too strong against most otherworldly threats but it is easier to be seen with and is lighter than the sword making for a good stunning weapon. has been enchanted for use against ghosts. specifically +5 against ghosts. called "the ghostbuster bat." by a guy you know.

[X] Gun: Nice and impersonal. The gun can be loaded with magic bullets that fit with any situation. the gun itself is a nine millimeter handgun with decent stopping power. It holds twelve rounds. The gun is not special but the bullets are. unfortunately they are pretty expensive. christened "Asagiri by a guy who is way too into Nippon-Ichi games

It fits into elemental manipulations so it will require concentration. and while you still can not see in total darkness you can 'feel' objects in the darkness. to a certain extent anyway.

btw. edit for the sword and bat. gun now has a nickname too.
