...Huh, oh, so the guns WERE deleted. The reason I didn't see that is because I switched out of edit mode, because getting to have edit mode is weeeeird.

...what do the add-ons cost? Only one of them has a listed price.

Added new Semblance category

Player: A power with no single form, a Semblance that is fluid. Your Semblance can express itself in a variety of ways even if it's basic rules are rather clear. A Semblance of Multiple Semblances essentially, though there are limitations and drawbacks. A sign of one who is flexible or adaptable. Apathetic and easily swayed.
  • Mimic: You slowly absorb the aura of others, a passive effect that normally goes unnoticed but can be increased. You slowly begin to take on the traits of those around you. This absorption allows you to copy semblances so long as you use the Original's aura and can switch between these at will.
  • Mirror: At some form of trigger you can fully copy the Semblance and skills of another person, while you can store the Semblance indefinitely once it is used it will be lost once you change it for another.
  • Mask: You gain a seemingly random power at a certain trigger. This can be a single trigger causing a random Semblance to take effect or a specific trigger tied to a specific type of Semblance to manifest. Examples are Changing Semblances every day, creating summoned "Children" by mixing your aura with others, or rolling a Die to determine which Semblance on a list manifests in a battle.

Once again I find myself disappointed with the weapons/equipment section. I might be getting a bit too mechanical with it's benefits and that may slow it down.

An idea for it is enough for a free weapon by default, simplify weapons again and change that system for building.

Simplified new weapons system would be 5000 Lien

Melee Weapons:
Wearable Weapon (100 Lien: High Speed, High parrying, Poor Damage, Terrible Block), Small One-handed (250 Lien: Great Speed, Great Parry, Low damage, Poor block), One-Handed (500 Lien: Good Speed, Good block, Moderate damage, Moderate Parry), Two Handed (750: High Damage, High Block, Low Speed, Low Parry)

Melee Weapon Types: 250 Each
Bludgeon (Anti-Armor), Slash (High Damage), Piercing (High Crit.), Shielding (High Defense)

Fire Arms:
Low Caliber (250 Lien: Poor Damage/Great Speed), Standard Caliber (500 Lien: Low Damage/Good Speed), Large Caliber (750 Lien: Good Damage/Low Speed), Heavy Caliber (1000 Lien: Great Damage/Poor Speed)

Weapon Upgrades:
Mech Shift: Weapon is able to shift seamlessly between types of weapons to fulfill different functions of weapon's you've purchased. Costs 250 Lien (Cost of other forms not included)
BFW: Dramatically Increases the capabilities of a weapon. Doubles Base Cost of Melee Weapon components affected.
Dual Wield: Allows a second copy of a weapon to be wielded, Doubles Base Cost of weapon.
Conduit: Your weapon can act as a conduit for your semblance, allowing you to affect others through it. 500 for Melee, 1000 for Ranged.
Extender: Your weapon has a means of extending it's length to increase your melee attack range for a brief moment.
Dust Mod: Your weapon can channel dust through itself or into your semblance. Costs 250
Dust Rounds: You have access to Dust based rounds. 100 Per type. or 250 for all types.
Subtle Weapon: Your weapon can transform into a more compact form. 100 Lien for simply being small enough to carry around, 250 for being small enough to be hidden on your person.
Full Auto: Your weapon can expand it's entire cartridge at once in a very powerful attack. 500 Lien
Recoil Booster: Your weapon has been modified to increase recoil, Shots from a Large Caliber weapon can boos the swing, shots from a Heavy Weapon can launch the user. Costs 250 Lien
SemTech: Using Advanced tech your weapon can, to a limited degree, mimic the abilities of a Semblance. Costs 3000 Lien

That looks good but for guns I would chance speed to recoil. Low Caliber low speed, High Caliber high recoil.

I'll take it.
That system means I can revamp Israfil as a proper weapon system thing.

Former White Fang member with a semblance that lets them command and summon Grimms, and a revolver that lets them fly towards whatever they point it at with incredible speed...mostly intended to help them mark new grimm, or use the bayonet.

Y'know, having updated her weapon, I look back at this CYOA and realize I forgot how cool the personality notes in the semblance section are.
Also that Halav is in some ways a more emotionally scarred.
Seeks acceptance, but unable to trust or open up to people. Values guile and patience, but deludes themself and can't cope. Holding the capacity for inner strength, with more than one side to themself, but gets stuck in a loop of reacting, indecision, and trying to hide their strength and everything about themself, because they can't handle what they've done - it's left them broken, fixated on one goal, and unable to competently socialize. Also they're short.

It's not a winners personality by any stretch of the imagination. To say the least of how the specifics of Brother's Grimm imply that she sees herself as some sort of destructive monster, practically kin to the grimm she commands. Or something like that. Cool powers and all, but damn if this isn't the biggest psychological fixer upper on the hero side of RWBY.

Hm...channeling dust through Brothers Grimm...
Applying dust effects to the attacks of slaved grimm?

Start with 2500 Lien, each point increases the pool by 2500 Lien

Base Melee Weapons:
Wearable Weapon (100 Lien: High Speed, High parrying, Poor Damage, Terrible Block), Small One-handed (250 Lien: Great Speed, Great Parry, Low damage, Poor block), One-Handed (500 Lien: Good Speed, Good block, Moderate damage, Moderate Parry), Two Handed (750: High Damage, High Block, Low Speed, Low Parry)

Automatic: Your weapon has been modified to fire large quantities of lead at once. Increase Rate of fire but uses more ammo and the gun is more prone to jamming. Costs 250 lien

Subtle Weapon: Your weapon can transform into a more compact form. 100 Lien for simply being small enough to carry around, 250 for being small enough to be hidden on your person.
Full Auto: Your weapon can expand it's entire cartridge at once in a very powerful attack. 500 Lien

One thing: In the non-aura disadvantages section, there's a legacy disadvantage of having a small Aura, which at this point is basically a duplicate.

Hm...
Aura disadvantage...
Something where you're unusually interesting to grimm?

Grimm power... ability to merge with weaker grimm and usurp their control over their bodies?
I feel like a theme for grimm might be that there ISN'T an immense range of special snowflake abilities, even for sapient ones - just a toolkit of various traits with levels that they can buy upwards (and MAYBE specializations at the second level or somesuch), akin to the talents you can get but biological.

*works the latest equipment system into Halav*

Israfil is an exceptionally simple weapon, aside from the Semtech lightning dust powered immaterial high power grappling hook. It's literally an eight round single action revolver that you load and unload one round at a time through a loading gate.

One of those things that's meant to make Halav dysfunctionally weird.

Sapphire Rose, born the twin of Ruby Rose. An over protective brother who does not want to admit he has a sister complex. A genuinely helpful kid but easily manipulated by others, social dunce.Sapphire hates his name and prefers to be called Blue, saying Sapphire is a girls name. His weapon is the twin daggers Lapis and Lazuli which combine a glaive with a throw-able head connected by a wire.

Grimm and CAST powers.

Okay here's some disadvantages
City Slicker- Too used to living with the modern comforts of civilization you have trouble surviving in the wilderness.
Technological Illiterate - You have trouble using modern technology. You can barely turn your scroll on and off.
Loud- Constantly makes noise or draws attention to yourself. Incapable of stealth.
Something based around not knowing how to fight without a weapon. Once you're disarmed you're useless.
Weiss You Useless Lesbian- You're constantly distracted by attractive people of your preferred gender(s).
Blind as a Bat- Your eyesight is poor and as a result you need to where glasses. You're useless without them.
Ugly- You're ugly. Yes even people in the RWBY verse can be ugly.

Gifts
Gs - Your scroll always has a highspeed untraceable connection to the internet no matter where you are.

Advantages
Artistic- You can draw, sculpt, paint, or etc with near master level skill.
The Pen is Mightier than the Sword - You are a talented writer.

Gifts: A hunter is more than just their Semblance after all. Some are combat oriented others are more for utility, but in general they will make your life much easier.

Lesser Gifts: Costs 1
Nekomimi modo: Removable cat (or other fluffy animal) ears and tail that you can wear to gain faunus like powers. Be careful not to show them off to your faunus buddies though, some consider it what you humans call a "dick move".
Henshin!: You have some innocuous object that stores all your hunter gear away and can be used to equip it instantly. Comes with optional stock footage of your softcore stripte- er, transformation sequence.
Meganeko: Just a pair of glasses, makes you look even sexier or more moe. Also something about being hard to recognize, but the fanservice is what's important.
PANTSU!: You have a drawer full of undergarments with some minor effect. Lucky Blue ones, bear print to seem more innocent, black strings for sex appeal, stripes to energize, spats for running, and red lace to help clean up the blood of unfortunate (late) rivals for senpai.

Greater Gifts: Costs 2
Silver Eyes: Now you too have special eyes, no one seems to know what they do if they do anything at all. They are said to be a symbol of those descended to a line of great hunters, and if in a truly dire situation when all hope is lost you can release your inner potential.
Intelligence Device: Be it some mystical means or simply advanced technology your weapon is sapient and has a personality of it's own. It's capable of acting autonomously to a degree, assisting you if needed but also capable of disobeying orders out of your best interest. The Device has an avatar it can use to interact with the world but as a weapon it can't truly wield itself.
Gemini Stone: Oh? You wish to bring a friend? Or perhaps you just wish to partner with yourself? Whichever case there is another, you're other half. All things are shared between you, as one is merely the other side of the same coin. Twins so alike and so close they may as well be a single entity.

Talents: Cost 1 Point Each
Charisma: You are a beacon of hope and joy, someone who naturally draws the attention of others to you. When you lead they follow, and when you speak they listen. Your presence is enough to boost the moral of your team, and words of comfort and encouragement carry a far greater effect.
Battle Mania: You're a little... off. In a good way. You love action, fighting especially. You don't suffer any of the mental stress related to battle or constant action. Immunity to most distractions while in combat. The cost can be reduced to zero if your battle lust clouds your better judgment, making you easier to fool or makes you willing to act in self destructive manners or harm those you care for.
Monkey Grip: You've a fine mix of dexterity and strength allowing you to wield even large two-handed weapons with incredible finesse and grace.
Resolve: You do not give up, never compromise. No matter the task you can always follow through to the end, be it a success or failure. Ability to continue fighting until KOed or killed, ignoring most injuries, while in combat.
Beauty Never Tarnished: You are remarkably able to retain your looks despite heavy injury, healing up eventually with no scars or permanent injuries. Even for things like Maiming so long as you can find the limb you'll be able to reattach it without complication.
Natural Talent: You are a prodigy of a Hunter, you pick up things in hours what takes others weeks. Greater Insight in combat, tactics bonus.
Powerhouse: You are incredibly strong, even if you may not look it. Your physical blows are crushing, your endurance unwavering, and with or without aura you can lift incredible weight.
Dynamo: You're filled with a nigh-endless amount of physical stamina, capable of going on and on from dusk till dawn without rest or winding down.
Guile: You are a cunning person, and quite dishonest. You are more than capable of manipulating others with terrifying ease. Your lies are master works, even when given evidence otherwise few would still doubt your word.
Jack of All Trades: You're something of a competent person in many fields, able to quickly learn the practical skills on the job as you go if need be.
People Person: You've a talent for knowing when someone is not quite what they seem, it's almost a 6th sense. You can gauge their trustworthiness, their strength, and any number of vague hidden facts about them.
I have a plan!: You are able to communicate intricately detailed plots, ideas, and conversations with allies and friends by looks and facial expression alone.
Blessed by the Muses: You have great skills in various artistic endeavors. It offers no real combat advantage but at the very least you can make money off your works if you take a bullet to the knee.

Flaws: Grants 1 each.
City Mouse: You are incredibly used to a certain standard of living, to the point that if removed from modern convenience you have not only no idea how to survive but what little you "Know" will probably do more harm than good.
Country Mouse: You have no skill with all these new fangled techno-whozits that seem to be everywhere now a days, from coffee makers with a million options to what ever eldritch ritual is needed to record a show on a DVR. You can barely operate your scroll, anything more complicated than pressing a clearly labeled button probably won't end well.
Awkward: You have no skill in social settings, often inserting your foot so far down your throat your head might be well up your own anus.
Trauma: You have some trauma that springs up on occasion, either causing you to flee or become catatonic when confronted with it.
Obsessed: You have some obsession or goal that you would do anything to achieve, be it however harmful to yourself or those close to you.
Pint-sized: You are incredibly short and appear to be far younger than you are. Many find you hard to take seriously. This sadly is not a phase you will grow out of.
Lazy Bum: You are incredibly lazy, or at least completely lack in endurance, with a level of physical stamina that is practically civilian.
Jerkass/Bitch: You tend to be more than a bit of an ass, fairly selfish and somewhat cruel, you tend to put others off even if you've got a heart of gold.
Dojiko: Outside of combat you have as much coordination as a newborn, even in combat you're not quite as graceful as other Hunters.
Dense: You are about as insightful as an especially dim rock, subtlety is all but lost on your thick barbarian skull.
One Trick Pony: Outside of fighting, you really aren't good at much. It's honestly kind of inspiring how bad you can fail at certain mundane tasks just because it doesn't involve cracking heads.
Crippling Overspecialization: While Hunters work best with their personal weapons you've specialized in your gadget to the point that when disarmed you're rendered incredibly vulnerable and a non-threat.
Weakling: You are physically incredibly weak, even with Aura you lag behind your peers.
Stranger in a Strange Land: You completely lack any knowledge of the world of Remnant you previously had.

Thought of two more gifts.

Iconic Outfit- You own an increadbly fasionable outfit that never gets damaged, dirty, smelly, stained etc. If it will always fit you perfectly. You will have people question why you wear the same outfit everysingle day.
The Box- You posses a cardboard box that grants you incredible stealth abilities while using it.

Hmmm~
Well, now at least one of the Gifts is mildly appealing, with Silver Eyes not being a 'desperate times swiss army knife' that risks reality annihilating authorial ennui, but instead a 'in hopeless situations, you can act with all the power that COULD be at your disposal' thing.
I'm almost tempted to dump a pair on Halav, since there's some drawbacks in that bin that I think would fit her now. I won't, because it'd be a power-grabby copout with an ill effect on any hypothetical story with her, but it's somewhat tempting. Might replace one of the racial drawbacks with one of 'em, though.

That being said, Stranger in a Strange Land: do they lack knowledge they'd have in-character based on their background, or just metaknowledge?
If the latter, I'd absolutely take that in virtually all circumstances. A lot can change between the CYOA 'player' and the character who comes out the other end, so it's probably good for a cleaner story to cut the string between them, generally.
Like, unless you've given them a Semblance and such that are actually suitable to your personality.

after reading the update i realized something you could therodicaly make issei hyoudou from highschool DxD and the main character from the conception childern of the seven stars series. which is awesome i really want to do that now

Was going to change up the Advantages section a bit, add some combat specific ones.

Melee - Monkey Grip: Same as before
Melee - Unarmed Combat: Ability to fight and defend yourself just as competently without a weapon.
Melee - In Accord: The ability to seamlessly blend ranged, semblance. and misc attacks into your melee fighting.

Ranged - Trick Shot: The ability to make seemingly impossibly complex trick shots, such as those requiring ricochets or precise timing.
Ranged - Eagle Eye: Increases accuracy with inaccurate weapons as well as range one can reasonably hit a target with a weapon.
Ranged - Quick Draw: The ability to draw and aim your weapon with incredible ease and speed. Can make close range shots before you can blink without needing to directly look at the target.

Aura - Subtle: The ability to use your semblance in a subtle or insidious fashion, such that even those looking at you would not be able to guess it's in use.
Aura - Precision: The ability to be incredibly precise with your semblance, able to use it to preform delicate and complex tasks.
Aura - Kou: The ability to alter the density of your aura to trade overall defense for increase performance such as making a stronger blow, running faster, or blocking a strike you anticipated.

General - Mastery of Arms: The ability to easily adapt and use any weapon, even other Huntsmens' weapons with ease regardless of their complexity.
General - Assessment: The ability to accurately read opponents, guessing their potential skill without even fighting them from unconscious cues. Able to accurately predict moves in lesser fighters.
General - Active Defense: Using everything in one's ability to decrease damage taken, from blocking with Kou to rolling with blows to parrying and blocking shrapnel with your weapon. Using skill to boost one's defense.

But how does Stranger in a Strange Land work?

Note to self: add inspired inventor talent, and Outside Context Knowledge for tactics tech and culture things.

The starting points don't mesh squirrelly. Ruby gives more than you buy it for and the flaw is too vague and weak. Also you left the edit option on.
