Having issues while trying to see if I could change my title.
While changing avatar, editing privacy settings, and all of that work fine, for some reason I can't access my own account page, linking (cropped) screenshot.
Also, using Chrome, if it affects things.

Accounts are limited for anti-spam purposes until their first post is approved by moderation. Try it again.
 
seriously I randomly get this lame ass title and that's the reason I can't change it?
 
That's correct. Now that this post is approved, you can make the change.
 
I do think it's somewhat problematic for people to not be able to get rid of the humiliating default user titles until they've posted (and been seen with them). Feels like hazing to me.
 
If you don't have a post, then the only place that the title is visible is your user page, which no one has any reason to go to since you don't have any posts.

If you do have a post, you can change it.

(Plus, it's not really possible for something to be humiliating if it's the default...)
 
Lurker here. Petitioning for title change privilleges.
Also, thank you for this thread, I didn't know what to do about the... unique... humour that QQ!XenForo posseses.
I mean... It'd be fine it default was the only possibility, but if Custom is an option, it's the only option!

May I suggest that if something's aggravating enough to new users to get this many of them upset about it, it probably is hazing?
