There's not even been incidents where there were white people committing dumb crimes where people don't regard it as bad because of implicit bias.
This is statistically very highly improbable and the thing that really makes me wonder whether author is actually espousing far right extremist views.
really? as the first counter-example I can think of, what is this then?
The woman opens her mouth as you enter the room. Your fist closes it for her before you can find out whether she was about to request mercy or offer defiance.
if not a white woman in empire territory committing spousal abuse, which is both A: dumb, and B: bad.

As hilarious as the Brian-o-vision epilogue was, why did Lisa not get Taylor's mastered minion Aisha to do that instead?

But yeah holy shit the plot thickens. It's go time I guess.

I guess it's time to kidnap Shadow Stalker and hold her prisoner until Taylor learns her power. So dramatic.

There's zero chance she lets Sophia live long enough for that if she's in a position to decide that.

Sometimes Horses Fly Approach would be my top guess if it's useable on Fenrir, but I don't think the charm allows that. Would free up GG's charm for AST rather than needing a flight charm from it.

Just barely missed the cookie and I'm so fucking salty about it :'
Should have known that it'd be useable on Fenrir and therefore the most likely pick.

Aisha was not around for that attack, and B she has to actively turn off her power for people to recall her. Think only Lisa had broken thou the master effect after the timeskip, and that took years of using her power to force workaround.

Thinker bullshit, and you can bet your ass that she's going to brag to Emma about this.

Fuck, I knew Emma was a loose end but do you think she'd be able to connect the dots on Taylor being a Master after being told she's a parahuman? Considering she was minionized and then had the servitude effect revoked.

That would be in character to be honest. She has been trying to kill Grue for much less. She going out of her way to be non lethal is a bit OOC.
SS might've expected the rapists to kill Taylor after they got through with her, that way she wouldn't be connected to the death, and Taylor gets what she 'deserves' before she dies.

It wouldn't make any difference.
No, it would definitely make a difference, at least to me. Sure, you might get some people complaining, but most people would be far, far less uncomfortable reading this if they knew the author acknowledged that he knows the Nazis in his story are actually incorrect.

It's the difference between a protagonist having racist views, and the author having racist views which they express through the mouthpiece of their protagonist. Like, if Danny boy here wrote scenes that showed just how absurd Taylor's new beliefs are, instead of writing scenes that validate her racism and reinforce that she's right to hate non-whites, no one would be talking. No one calls Springtime for Hitler Nazi propaganda, because while every single character is a racist Nazi, that's the joke.

Think of a film like Birth of a Nation. Yes, you could say "oh the characters are racist, that doesn't mean the author was a bad person", but based on how that movie treats those racist characters it's pretty clear the author supports their views. Having Klansmen in your film is fine, it's even fine to make one your protagonist. The issue is when you start showing that Klansman protagonist as the "good guy" who's essentially right in his view of the world, instead of a racist piece of shit.

lmao Sophia, should have just killed her. I'd be interest in what happens if she dies too, maybe her consciousness follows the power ala Past Life Memories.

Anyway, Sophia is dead, etc. Only question is if she takes Taylor down with her since she got a look at her face (and IIRC Low Key has an unmodded Taylor face).

At this point I suspect the discomfort is very much a part of the appeal to the author and half the fans, lol. :V

Technically she'd know Low key is a master, just not a human one she wanted Tay to rough her up so they could be friends again, so rather doubtful that she connects those dots because the desire existed before the master effect.

But her loyalty has long since dried up, so if Sophia ends up disappearing Red would blame her while trying to cover up why anyone could possibly want to kill her.

We don't actually know that Sophia didn't kill her, or at least try to and believe she had succeeded. Sophia might have stabbed Taylor and assumed she got her in the heart or cut her throat and did a poor job of it. Taylor's Brute power is negligible and she doesn't heal so fast that it's visible to a cursory inspection, but she also doesn't bleed like one would expect.

I wouldn't be surprised if she fully expects Taylor to be found dead in that alley.

Daniel Snuts

I know I already said it, but putting a warning stating that you don't share these views would really reassure a lot of people.
Honestly grow up lol. How does that make one iota of difference?

The author is either a white supremacist espousing these beliefs or he isn't. If he puts up one simple line of text stating he doesn't share these beliefs - he's still either a white supremacist or he isn't.

What're you going to do - take a white supremacist at his word that he isn't a white supremacist? Lol

On a story related note,
Yep Sophia and her family's getting nazi ganked for sure. This Taylor is sociopathic even without bringing a hate-boner for Sophia Hess into it. 10 bucks says she sets some Empire goons on them.

I have no sympathy for Taylor. Not because I think she deserved to be raped, but because I dont expect she will actually care, or be effected by this. And I mean actually be effected by it. Not just pretend to not be effected by it.

I might take this as a good sign if I had any confidence this was going to be pulled off well. Were gonna see.

Maybe. Probably not.

Taylor brushed off the trauma from being knowingly made into a simurgh bomb, much as she did from her trigger event... Hookwolf beating her constantly...

It's the mary sue thing. A traumatic experience getting pulled out of the closet only when it's appropriate mechanically wring sympathy out of toadies.

Or the audience if your better at writing.

And while one could point to "Taylor thinks everyone is subhuman" as a result of various compounding traumas, I think its more likely that she is simply more convenient as a protagonist for this story when she is a robotic psycopath.

Would be fun to get a look at her intimacies :V

Which if were about to see Solar limit break (which I hope we are) well get to see Taylor cross some real lines.

None of this namby pamby bleached whiter than a nun's panties Nazi horse shit.

Or we could simply move on and forget about this until it is the correct time to wring sympathy out or a better written character.

As I said. Confidence low.

That being said.

Daniel Snuts I want to thank you for writing this story, and exclaim my enjoyment of it. I think it's a hot dumpster fire, and that it's probably turned a few real and very stupid people into neo Nazis.

But its provided a lot of joy an entertainment. Done saying nice things now back to insults.

I'm glad the dog is fine.
I'm not. Being raped can easily be hand waved away.

Inflicting lasting consequences by killing bubbles would have been a great sign that the author actually wanted Taylor's actions to have tangible consequences.

Consequences forTaylor I mean.

The only one who's actually going to have something bad happen to her is Shadow Stalker. And presumably Shadow Stalkers family.

God I fucking hope.
Been waiting for her to break and either get at Emma or Hess ever since her trigger event was first brought up.
As for her being a terrible character... I mean, it's an Exalted fic. I don't wanna rag on White Wolf's design decisions, but eh...
Yeah, morality for them is kinda just a tangible game mechanic to be utilized. I think that says everything it needs to.

really bad at understanding how to write a villainous protagonist (hint: it's not to constantly prove them right in their views)
That's assuming the author wants the overall narration in the story to conform to real life moral goodness. Morality is a social construct and a needed one except Taylor is a Solar Exalt so to her morality is a suggestion. Like, just calm down and enjoy the trainwreck lol.

So I'm just going to quote myself from a comment I made a few chapters ago regarding Verdant Emptiness Endowment, just replace every instance of Emma with Sophia, or possibly the Trio if Taylor's feeling extra vindictive.

Just thought of another question, is there any reason Taylor can't 5 dot in everything someone who she either doesn't care or actively wants to strip of their potential?

Like say for example Emma, is there any reason Taylor couldn't turn Emma into a hyper omni-competent braindead slave doll?

Also hell of a Friday cliffhanger.

I have not seen this coming. However, what I see coming is E88 flavored roaring rampage of revenge.

Shadow Stalker broke Unwritten Rules in at least 3 ways (unmasking, rape & murder attempt). I hope she'll get what's coming to her. The only character in Worm I detest more than her is Brandish.

Really? 'Cause I feel like this makes perfect sense in hindsight: After all, that was the way Emma would've gone out if it weren't for Sophia's interference, which she wouldn't have done if Emma had been judged "prey."
Since Taylor's "prey," Emma's ex-friend, and SS is angry at her, making her go through what could have happened to Emma makes complete sense to me.
...
Have I misjudged that so hard?

Ah, this story is posted in the wrong section for that.

I'm getting the vibe between the Uber&Leet chapters and this one, that zany antics may go on the back burner in favor of some combination of calculated vengeance and power-building ("This wouldn't have happened if I had a real brute power!").

Funny note, Shadow Stalker was technically less violent in this case than she was in the original story, where she straight-up tried to murder Taylor from ambush.
