Create-a-Cape! Post Your Worm OCs and Alt Powers Here

Step 1: You once was a office drone before you got noticed, not for your skills, but your looks. Given a makeover, slitted into a suit that cost more than your car and you became a paranoid executive's body double, paid handsomely to go where they go and do what they do- that is, give bad speeches and go on overcomplicated adventures to 'defeat their foes'. Until the day he got blown up himself, turns out he wasn't as paranoid as you thought. You got called in by some company suit and though he tried to act friendly, the core of matter was that because the executive was dead, you were getting moved back to the dull world of little white cubicles with the other drones. After seeing the world outside your little habitat that you realised that being somebody, anybody, was better than being a nobody.

Class: Stranger 8, Master
Power: You can alter others' perceptions of you and certain objects on yourself. It is not so much that you can look differnt in their eyes, in fact their eyes still see you as you are. Instead they 'perceive' you as someone or something else. You cannot target individuals, everyone will perceive you as this person/thing and those who have no frame of reference will be unaffected. Those under the effect will 100% believe you are this thing no mater the evidence to the contrary, though you don't actually gain any true loyalty from it if they were loyal to the person you are pretending to be that will transfer to you. The effect is permanent until you actively change it, and you only effect those withing about 100 feet of yourself. If you choose to pretend to be an inanimate object none will seem to notice you're movements, though may comment on the oddity of an out of place (person shaped) Wardrobe in the middle of a hallway or attempt to steal or even vandalize you. If you were to speak like that they'd find nothing odd with conversing with a piece of furniture.

Gender: Male | Age: 24 | Build: Average/[NA]
Ethnicity: [NA] | Hair: [NA] | Eyes: [NA]
Class: Shaker ? , mover ?
Power: Complete and utter control off ash of any sort or source for nearly a mile in every direction. The catch is he is completely made out of ash, as long as there is ash in that range he'll just reform.

Trapped in a burning car by merchants he was consumed by the flames as he triggered. After filling said thugs lungs with ash he found he quite fire and now wishes and work to see the world BURN as he did.

not sure what the numbers should be... sound reasonable?

Name: Kakashi | Alias: Ku(zu)ebiko
Affiliation: Mirai | Alignment: Moral Hero
Gender: M | Age: 20 | Build: Tall/spindly
Ethnicity: Japanese (Heavily Scarred/Disfigured) | Hair: Black (White patches) | Eyes: White (Blind)
Class: Thinker, Master, Striker
Power: Displays three powers loosely connected to "Vibration/Motion" as a Grab-bag theme. Kakashi has enhanced senses, notably tactile and hearing, he can use both to accurately track and target moving entities as well as act as a pseudo lie-detector by analyzing a person's biometrics. In conjunction his own sense of balance is increased and his dexterity is flawless, giving him an unnatural and almost hypnotic grace. His last ability is a sort of hypnotism that is a combination of both his movements and voice, often requiring a catalyst such as the the one he uses as a mask, it takes time to fully hypnotize a target but he is capable of causing symptoms of intense motion sickness and vertigo in seconds.

Name: Kaguya Kasugano | Alias: Hitsuzen
Affiliation: Ku(zu)ebiko | Alignment: Monstrous Hero
Gender: F | Age: 18 | Build: Tiny
Ethnicity: Japanese | Hair: Black | Eyes: Black
Class: Thinker? Striker?
Power: An odd power that both is, and isn't, under her control depending on your perspective of causality. Mirai has the ability send copies of objects back in time, creating a stable time loop, so long as the object weighs less than herself. The object sent back replaces it's previous incarnation. Her usual method of use is sending back notes to herself on a pad she carries around, her Diary Scroll she keeps at home, and skipping the grinding portion of a game by sending it back after it's already been done. Oddly rather than altering the object and sending it back she sends back the already altered object, at least from her own perspective. It's unknown if it's necessary but she is sure to always send back the object to prevent a possible paradox.

Summary:
The two are recent refugees from Japan, having fled to the states to escape their personal situation. Their parents belonged to a cult that had existed prior to the appearance of parahumans but had only grown with them and spiked in the wake of Leviathan. Their practices where... disgusting, the main belief that laying with the Holy Maiden would grant fortune, and so following the tradition Kaguya, selected for her beauty and then given her name for the legendary lunar princess, was caged in a room in the shrine and had been frequently raped from a young age. During this time she triggered, which tragically exacerbated her situation as they viewed it as a divine blessing. Kakashi, then unnamed as was traditional for children of the cult, had tried to rescue her after being led into the room along with the other boys as an initiation. Sneaking in at night to lead her to safety they had been intercepted before making it off the grounds.

The boy had been tortured and had dangerous chemicals poured on his head that burned his face and cost him his sight. He was kept bellow the grounds for a period of 2 years, triggering upon learning that it was soon approaching time to select a new Holy Maiden and for the old one to be sacrificed. He escaped and rescued Kaguya, burning the compound to the ground as they fled. The cult was destroyed as Kaguya's Scroll had predicted "Salvation" should they gather. The two escaped to America to flee the remnants.

Kakashi took his name soon after as he felt it appropriate. He acts as a hero, though both steals from his targets and uses his abilities on civilians in order to support both him and Kaguya. He has a strict sense of honor and love of justice. He believes no crime is too small to over look and as such often drops in front of people to deliver speeches on why they should not do such things as littering and jaywalking. Despite this he is willing to do anything and everything to protect Kaguya and her happiness. Kakashi spends little time outside of his costume, a black body suit with his mask being a bag painted like a Japanese Scarecrow.

Kaguya, thanks to her history, is a twisted and broken individual. She has no empathy for others, only knowing factually what is considered Moral by the preaching of her friend whom is the only person she cares about. She tends to act like a small child, which is how her frail body still appears to be thanks to the drugs given to her by her original captors, being childish and impetuous, though capable of acting like a young lady of noble birth should. She is Sadistic, taking pleasure in causing suffering in those whom she detests (usually for petting things), and is jealous of anything that might distract Kakashi's attention away from her. The girl despite her innocent appearance is more than a little unstable, and easily if not enthusiastically, capable of committing atrocious acts. She was drugged by the Cult to "remain young and pure" which not only stunted her development and rendered her incapable of having children but also caused irreparable harm to her body causing her to be sickly and drastically shortening her life expectancy.

Kaguya stays home rather than actively participates in cape activities, though she aids Kakashi with her powers by updating his tape recorded Hero Journal. She is concerned as to why her Diary does not haveany entries beyond a certain date, at first believing it to be the time limit on her power but as time went on and no more updates came beyond that point she began to fear it would the day she dies.

Name: Trevor Sansa | Alias: Kid Grim
Affiliation: Vigilante | Alignment: Moral Hero
Gender: Male | Age: Teen | Build: Stocky
Ethnicity: Skeleton? | Hair: None | Eyes: Blue
Class: Breaker, Shaker, Striker/Master
Power: Kid, as a Case 53 has had his body altered by his powers. In this case his flesh withered and petrified into a bone-like substance and fused with his skeleton. His actual powers are simple, the first is the ability soften his flesh, and alter it to a degree, even allowing for regeneration. The second, and far more combat effective, is his Ostiokinesis. This telekinetic ability exerts much force and is able to even work on other living entities though is lacking in fine manipulation.

Step 1: In hindsight, running into a burning apartment building was not the best idea you've ever had. Maybe it was the stress of coming home from another long day at work to see your home, shitty as it as, burning or more importantly that all your dog was still inside. The smoke stung your eyes and it became even more searingly hot inside the further inside you pushed. Honestly, if it wasn't for the ceiling caving in and trapping you beneath a burning pile of lumber you probably could have made. You didn't and now you're going to die if you can't save yourself.

Ashspawn - You have the ability to change your form to a petrified monstrous state, it glows red in the joints and bleeds magma. Mass can be added by consuming burnable objects the physical boost depending on how quick or hot it burns. You are capable of some amount of regeneration in this state. Unfortunately you are vulnerable to water, the substance being painful and in large amounts even dangerous.

Drauger - You've the ability to travel through any body of water with a large enough surface area to enter, you are also capable of bringing objects and people along with you. You can travel anywhere there is water, and have a sense for where large bodies of it are in relation to yourself anywhere on earth though the accuracy scales with size and distance. You are immune to nearly any water based attack, such as crushing pressure or being struck by fast moving currents. Oddly you are not immune to drowning though your lung capacity renders you more than capable of surviving many times longer than a human should ever be able too.

PRT threat report: POE
Name: Poe
Known aliases: QuothTheRaven (Verified PHO account)
Alignment: Rogue/Mercenary
Rating: Changer 5, Striker 2, Master 1, Mover 4, Thinker 2
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tall, thin male wearing a dark suit and top hat. Suit and hat both have distinctive black feathers either embedded within or growing out of them. Face and head obscured by a black, beak-like 'mask.' Hands are clawed and covered in black feathers. Never seen speaking, uses signs to communicate in the field. Believed to be a possible case 53, see Power analysis for further information.
Power:
  • Changer 5: Poe is able to transform himself into a flock of black birds with red eyes; the transformation is accompanied by a burst of rapidly decaying black feathers that obscure his profile, making it difficult to obtain an accurate count of how many birds appear, or what kind they are. Analysis of security and cellphone footage by avian experts has revealed that while the birds in question strongly resemble Corvus corax, they do not match any known species. The number of birds created suggests that the size of the flock created is based on his own mass, and is thus limited by his own physique.
  • Thinker 2, Master 1: These birds seem to act according to Poe's will, performing surveillance or offensive maneuvers as needed. There is supporting evidence that the flock possesses a hive-mind, allowing Poe to discreetly survey large areas simultaneously.
  • Striker 2: Poe is able to extend the effects of his 'flock creation' to objects or people that he, or his birds, touch. There are two stages to this power: transition and flock. In the transition phase, the target acquires raven-like characteristics (feathers, beak-like ornamentation, etc) while still maintaining full functionality and independence. While in this state, he can apply the second stage of his power, to convert the object into additional bird(s) for his flock. People who have been transformed in this manner report no lasting effects, and a dreamlike trance throughout the experience. It is believed that he uses his power on himself as a naturally occurring costume. He uses this aspect of his power to surround himself with a small flocks worth of birds that are actually transfigured weapons, tools, and a handheld chalkboard that he uses for communication.
  • Mover 4: In flock form, Poe has substantial capability for quick movement. Thinker analysis suggests that there may be a hard limit to how far apart Poe's birds can fly, and the amount of surveillance footage of Poe 'flickering' in and out of bird form also suggests that either his ability to remain in bird form has a time limit, or he is simply showing off for the camera.
General comments: Poe is known for his exacting standards when accepting jobs: although he may skirt the line, he never accepts a job that is openly and unquestionably villainous, and as such neither PRT nor Protectorate forces have ever had cause to fight him. Based on accounts from various criminals who have fought him, proper lighting and an open environment are critical to successfully fighting him. He is a regular attendee at Leviathan and Behemoth fights, where he acts as search and rescue. Offers of Protectorate membership should be made, but not forced.

Power: Anthromorphize. The ability to, with contact, begin to slowly turn another living creature more human. The process is extremely painful for the recipient and the baseline human template used is based on Moreau himself. If used on a person it quickly rewrites cells that make skin contact and can cause a person to go into shock if prolonged. When used on animals they slowly become more and more intelligent, also gaining some knowledge and memories from Moreau, as well as some other human like traits. The traits expressed can be determined beforehand. Due to the nature of the power it can be used as a stopgap healing method by using it on injured tissue to replace it with pristine but altered flesh.

That is really, really cool and definitely not something I would have thought of myself.

Power: Overclock and Power. The first and most obvious use of power is to act as a boost, either a passive area of effect or targeted use for greater effect. The specifics of the boost ability and how it interacts with other powers is based on the shards original purpose as an energy source, it does not alter function merely increase the amount of energy the shards have available to use. When acting as a targeted effect however it rewires it's function to "Overclock" it causing extreme performance increases but weakening the shard for some time afterwards as it heals. The second ability of the shard is to act as an energy source for sustained effects allowing them to persist, and in some cases reactivate, even if the original user is absent, dead, or even actively attempts to cancel the effect. Lastly as a side bonus the empowerment is universal across all forms of energy, so it can affect Tinker tech or even regular tech.

Well, not bad, I suppose. Also:
The second ability of the shard is to act as an energy source for sustained effects allowing them to persist, and in some cases reactivate, even if the original user is absent, dead, or even actively attempts to cancel the effect.
Does this also affect Beacon's own effect, like, say, he Overclocks something the day before, and then uses the same something again today...does that mean that he can reactivate the Overclocked effect?

Mostly this means that if he ran into Vista's tangled web he can keep it powered even if she leaves. If he grabbed Dauntless' Arc-Lance he can reactivate it even though it should work for no one but Dauntless. It's sustained effects, something that activates only in an instant or for a tick won't work, something that remains active over a period of time will.

Power: The ability to create projected monsters through the use of premade "Seeds". Energy and a design is crafted carefully, every aspect needing to be weighed against others for efficiency and cost, the stronger the beast the longer it takes to generate the energy needed to create the seed. There is an soft upper limit on how strong a creature can be as energy costs start becoming comparatively larger after a point and certain aspects of creatures can interfere with others. Once the seed is made it can be placed into an object for storage to unleash it later. The monsters are intelligent enough to obey spoken commands though the cost of Sapience is very high. The monsters cannot naturally breed but it is a feature that can be added, though the offspring lack ontological inertia and will vanish with the death of the original. The creatures themselves can be given special powers, though those not biologically aided are more expensive. The seeds can be hatched from any distance and returned to what they once were. If the creature dies it can be resummoned so long as it's token is intact and an equal cost in energy is respent for it's creation. This energy can be taken from other cards, using them as sacrifices to summon or revive greater beasts.

Name: [NA] | Alias: Roulette Round
Affiliation: None | Alignment: Monstrous Villain
Gender: Male | Age: Early 30s | Build: Slim
Ethnicity: Italian | Hair: Brown | Eyes: Green
Class: Striker/Trump
Power: Upon touching a victim Roulette's power activates granting a random chance of a certain effect occurring. There's a roughly equal chance of the effect being beneficial or hindering. Roulette has a small amount of control over this, namely the aspect the effect will affect and the scales at which it will reach. It could be target of "Rolling" for health and having a chance of being temporarily unkillable and instantly having their heart fail. Similarly he could give a parahuman a chance doubling their power's effectiveness or nullifying it entirely for the same amount of time and anywhere in between. Generally there has to be at least two distinct and equal options opposite each other, the inclusion of anything in between is optional so long as the Positive/Negative chances equal out and can be discreet amounts or dynamic. A favored method is to give a power the chance to critically succeed or fail on it's next usage causing hesitance in opponents. After touching the opponent Roulette can continuously use his power on them so long as they stay with in a couple hundred feet otherwise it resets, the longer a streak of good or bad rolls goes on in a row the more incredible effect it causes.

Power: The ability to create sapient Ideas, memetic entities that worm the way into the minds of those that know them. A laugh, a site, a password, if it passed by those infected it infects those who know it. The information parasites consume knowledge of those they infest, infecting them and breeding, while they still believe themselves to be themselves in truth they are simply things that will obey their master and seek to spread themselves like any other virus. Those infected show signs of paranoia, schitzophrenia and many other mental problems eventually being driven insane and piloted by the intelligence that forms from the data they were infected with. The difficulty is in starting the process as the parasyte will die if the thought is ignored but the more times the victim is exposed the quicker they turn.

Name: Emerald Tyler | Alias: Evil Eye
Affiliation: NA | Alignment: Neutral
Gender: Female | Age: Teens | Build: Thin
Ethnicity: White | Hair: Black, Wavy | Eyes: Black
Class: Master 8, Trump, Thinker, Tinker
Power: Emerald has the ability to control "Access Rights" in both technology (Electronics) and in Minds. Anything that can be said to be a program she can access and dictate the restrictions of within. The effect occurs automatically to anything that enters aprox. 2 meters range of her is under her influence, while any farther and she is only able to affect by focusing on individuals or small groups of simple "Minds". When something is under her control she can instantly revoke any mental/programed restrictions placed on it or ad her own so long as it remains within about 200 meters of her. Technology will retain the restrictions permanently unless manually altered while actual Minds will revert back over time to it's previous state once it exits her range though some alterations may last permanently if the mind becomes accustomed to them. She has no ability to control those under her power, but creative use of her ability allows her to influence them to an extent, as an example it is possible to lock out Facial Recognition and prioritize the Fight response causing a person to attack anyone nearby in terror and paranoia. She is capable of hijacking Mastered creation though though the same restrictions apply. Her ability also works on powers, effectively becoming a power nullifier or enhancer, though she admits the restrictions placed on them is much harder to manipulate finely and disappears once she is no longer actively enforcing it. Lastly Emerald is capable of detecting complex minds with her range.

Syn:
Emerald is a blind, deaf, and physically emancipated girl with an incredible and terrifying power. While her eyes technically do function she is no longer capable of recognizing information input from them, forced to rely on the senses of those she has power over. Her mental faculties were also damaged due to her powers, her mental process more similar to those of an Entity or Shard than that of a human though is still caught somewhere in between. She has trouble with language, rarely speaking having issues with nuance in words or meanings often simply taking the most obvious, if not literal, interpretation of the words as she seems to incapable of conceiving of deceit. She often communicates simply by projecting concepts into the minds of those she focuses on, bypassing words to give information directly though the information given is impossible for most minds to fully grasp and is often painful as too much information is relayed at once. Emerald also is lacking in self-awareness, often times forgetting her body even exists..

Emerald has few desires, her only care is simply for the well being of her partner Sarah Durden. Despite her own apathy and confusion she often follows the girls orders and guidelines. Emerald is deadly protective of her friend, the two never leaving the others presence and Emerald killing anything she feels threatens Sarah without hesitation.

Name: Sarah Durden | Alias: Fata Morgana
Affiliation: NA | Alignment: Jerk Rogue
Gender: Female | Age: Teen | Build: Average
Ethnicity: white | Hair: Brunette | Eyes: Green
Class: Shaker 8
Power: Morgana has the ability to duplicate an area of space by mirroring it. The exact limitations of her ability shift as her association with Evil Eye means that her ability is often altered to best fit a situation. Normally the ability is unable to copy living beings in the copied space or cannot be applied over living beings. Most often she is capable of altering the orientation of what she is copying if not it's shape and the area she's copying over has the matter that was occupying it overwritten.

Syn:
Sarah is a young girl and friend of Emerald. After the girl's trigger event Sarah has taken to looking after her friend as best she can. This includes remaining constantly within her friends range so that the girl is capable of sensing anything. Sarah often attempts to help Emerald act more normal or interact with others, advising her to speak instead of "Project" and to explaining what she can to the girl when she's confused.

Sarah is perfectly aware that Emerald is affecting her mind, even unconsciously, having lost the ability to feel pain, and the ability to sleep among other small alterations that occur. She is fine with this, having resolved herself to her fate in an effort to remain with her friend. There is nothing Sarah would not do to protect Emerald and no line she would not be willing to cross and has done some morally reprehensible things already to support them.

Name: Alma Avon | Alias: Teratoma
Affiliation: None | Alignment: Monstrous Villain
Gender: Female | Age: Adult | Build: Perfect figure
Ethnicity: European | Hair: Brunette | Eyes: Blue
Class: Shaker, Stranger, Master, Breaker, Changer
Power: Ranged Biokinesis. The specifics of the nature of the ability are unknown but it appears to capable of healing, body alteration, and most often the creation of cancerous growths in the users victims. Unless immune or she consciously chooses otherwise any living creature that enters her range begins to develop Teratoma like growths in their body that will inevitably consume the victim. There is no cure for it, even amputation simply causes the growth to start elsewhere. The speed at which this occurs varies but depends on proximity and her own focus, at it's fastest it has been known to convert a full grown man into a lump of cancerous flesh in a few seconds. Teratoma is capable of controlling these growths though the distance which she can maintain that control is unknown. She also capable of altering her own body using her powers as she sees fit though is bound by the natural physical limits of flesh. Studies of her victims show that the growths all have the same DNA, overwriting that of the victims, leading Thinkers posit that the flesh is Teratoma's own, a theory that was later proven when she regrew her own body from one of her victims.

Syn:
Teratoma is a well known parahuman, classified as an A-ranked threat with a "Flee on Sight" order. She is most well known for being one of the few S9 nominees to fight them off and survive. Her most notable achievement of that event was stalemating against Greyboy and eventually forcing the childlike cape to retreat. The feat was accomplished by constantly infecting the parahuman and regrowing from his body even as he trapped her with his own powers. The area that the two had fought in is under quarantine and has been scrubbed of all life as the statues themselves still hold Teratoma's consciousness and powers and are capable of infecting others and possibly creating clones of the cape.

Due to the nature of her powers and the threat of what they could represent any victim of Teratoma and those who come in contact with said victims are to be summarily quarantined or executed on the spot with their remains remotely destroyed depending on the situation and possible level of infection. The order has become laxed after so many years however due to a lack of an army of Teratoma's appearing though the infecting statues are simply a unique interaction between two cape powers.

In terms of personality Teratoma is known as a monster that would have been right at home with the 9, her reason for refusing their offer is unknown. She often tortures victims, leaving them as semi-immortal blobs of flesh capable of thought thought and in constant agony but unable to communicate their suffering. It sadly isn't uncommon for her to find small communities to slowly infect over time creating towns filled with monsters. She is also not above mentally tormenting victims, whispering lies into their ears for months on end while slowly reshaping their brains in order to drive them into madness.

Despite this Teratoma does act as a sort of Merc, or at least she appears to be working under some sort of goal that Thinkers believe is not her own.

How about a multi-trigger?

Step 1: A sarcastic Irishman, an outgoing redhead and a raven-haired bibliophile decide to take in a show. The three friends are enjoying a magic act put on by a couple of grab-bag capes when the theatre begins filling with smoke. The panicky crowd hurriedly make their way toward the exits only to find that they've been welded shut. The fire progresses unnaturally swiftly and flames begin licking up the walls whilst the smoke-filled air becomes increasingly stifling. One of the performing capes manages to capture the audience's attention and communicates that his partner has linked a prop door to another outside of the theatre. The increasingly frantic swell of humanity pushes back toward the stage to the accompaniment of pained cries of those jostled and battered by the mob and the alarming creaking of the aged and flammable structure. Then just as the bruised and choking trio are nearing the exit bits of the ceiling start coming down.

Step 2: Surprise Me.

Step 3: 5, 11, 20.

Step 4: GM/Other poster gives you your power based on the above specs. (Optional).

Step 5: Moral.

Step 6: Hero/Rogue.

Step 7: Each Other.

Here's an OC character that I created as a part of an idea for a SI fanfic that I've been considering writing with various degrees of seriousness, partially based on/inspired by one of the really old CYOAs back when the CYOA threads on 4chan /tg/ first started. I think it was called "You died", and it was about creating a (female) teenage character that you would be reborn as. If I do wind up writing it, it'll probably be in the NSFW section here, for reasons that'd likely become obvious once you've read her backstory.

Name: Sakura Miller | Alias: undecided (open for suggestions!)
Affiliation: Wards | Alignment: Heroic
Gender: Female | Age: 15 | Build: Models Are Jealous
Ethnicity: Mixed Asian/White | Hair: Brown | Eyes: Brown
Class: Tinker (Specialities: Military Weapons, Neurological Augmentation; Subcategories: Blaster, Brute, Mover, Stranger, Shaker, Thinker)
Power: To put it in Weaver Dice terms, she's a Dual Weld (Binary/Combat) Tinker with the Battalion (War/War) and "Neuroaug" (Psyche/Ego) Specialities. Basically, she's a lightly-armored, stealth/agility oriented tinker who wields two pistols or one-handed weapons, and she gains an extra benefit when she hits an enemy who's affected by an effect from one of her specialties with an effect from the other, encouraging her to use one weapon for each.

The List A items (Primary tinkertech constructions, all of which in this case can take a single upgrade from List B) that she starts off with access to include the Infinity Pistol (an otherwise-normal pistol with infinite ammunition and a slightly higher firing rate), the Needler (full-auto pistol that can't take an upgrade from List B, and fires light flechettes that don't do much damage, but deliver chemical effects from List B), the Rocket Hatched (a hatchet with a rocket on the end for extra power and swing speed, tends to cause collateral damage from high-speed flailing), the Data Knife (parrying dagger that hacks things it's stuck into), Camouflage Shroud (a suit of light armor that includes light-bending and active sounds cancellation systems to maximize stealth), the Rocketboost Shroud (which includes a large rocket motor on the back for primary flight power and a number of others on strategic locations to enhance moblity), the Smoker Shroud (which has tanks full of chemicals on the back and can start billowing clouds of smoke infused with a List B chemical sufficient to fill entire floors of buildings given time to spread), and a Mind-Machine Interfact Implant (which counts as a HUD, lets her wirelessly remote-control compatible tech, has ports for hygienic injections of chemicals directly into the brain, and allows her Data Trinkets to hack things wirelessly).

The List B items (Patterns used to modify other tinkertech, primarily) are the Suppression Pattern (allows guns to fire full-auto, swords to swing faster, defensive items to gain regenerating shield against ranged attacks, and HUDs to detect and track enemies through cover), the Shell Pattern (offensively halves "fire rate" while replacing bullets with explosive rockets that are unblockable AoE damage, defensively grants bonus armor that grants bonus offense when broken, and as a HUD grants a stacking bonus to hit for every missed attack until one hits), the Injection Pattern (allows weapons to inject a List B chemical into enemies on a hit, allows armor to hold a number of doses of a chemical to be safely injected, and on a HUD, grants the user in-depth knowledge about their current medical status and the status of connected technologies, granting a bonus to medical and maintenance skill), the Juvelearn Chem (basically Wyvern from Twig, but only needs to be injected into the brain if you want to receive the beneficial effects), and the Slowmo chem (slows down the perception of time; used offensively, this results in the enemy's reactions being out-of-sync and uncoordinated, but used properly allows the user to react more quickly).

The List C items (miscellaneous tinkerings) include an assortment of Trinkets (single-use items recharged upon returning to the lab) including Defense Trinkets (applies the benefits of a List B pattern for four rounds, doubled on the first round and halved on the last two), Scan Trinkets (allows scanning of parahumans to improve Tinker research), Data Trinkets (small computers that automatically hack anything with a microchip they're attached to), and Syringe Trinkets (hold 5 doses of a chem, but can only be used on willing or helpless targets), along with a tinker-tech Mask (grants immunity to inhaled gasses, blinding, and hearing damage) and a tinker-tech Surgery suite for implanting cybernetics.

Further research could reveal things like further cybernetic implants along the "mental enhancement" or "futuretech military" themes (including things like cyberarms with retractable handguns built into them, spinal column implants to increase reaction times, or neural/arm implants implanted in other parahumans to help them control their powers), different sorts of tinkertech handguns and swords, new types of tinkertech armor (potentially including light Bodysuits that she can wear underneath her Shroud, such as the Commando bodysuit that uses forcefields to protect against ranged attacks and can give the user a "second wind" by regulating bodily responses to injury), or bulkier utility items that she could likely only carry one of at a time, like a Titanfall-esque Jump Pack or a force-field generator that acts by bulking up and reinforcing existing cover.

Not sure what her PRT ratings would be, besides the general categories. Probably no higher than a 6 or 7, though, unless she successfully builds a personal-scale megaproject like Armsmaster's nanothorn halberd or something. That said, though, an invisible, stealthy gunman with the ability to see you through walls, hack into your encrypted radio transmissions and then both listen to and spoof them, and 3-d maneuverability capabilities could very conceivably take down a squad or two of PRT troopers if they play their cards right, so maybe a 6 or 7 would be justified.

--------

Backstory/Trigger event?
Basically, her dad is an ex-Army engineer who met and married her mother when he was deployed there (long before Leviathan sunk Kyushu), and they proceeded to have her. Once he got out, he went and became private security in a relatively small town in the American South, and some of her earliest memories are happy ones of her father teaching her how to shoot. Her mom, on the other hand, became a housewife and something of a tiger mother stereotype, and she always pushed her daughter to pursue a number of extracurricular hobbies: martial arts, musical instruments, sports, sewing, even some degree of electrical engineering after she helped her dad do some wiring in the survivalist bunker he built on their property (mostly just carrying things, at that point, but her mom bought her a bunch of beginner wiring kits from Radio Shack and tinkering soon became one of her favorite hobbies). Her dad's survivalist bunker eventually wound up well known among certain circles in town, and he wound up opening his own business building them for people, which eventually, several months before the start of Worm canon, led to them moving to Brockton Bay when her dad's business got bought out by Fortress Constructions and he needed to move to work more closely with his new boss.

This is when the problems started. Her mom, of course, insisted on her having top grades, and not only put pressure on her to study, but to continue pursuing all of the many, many hobbies that she'd been involved with, and oh, high school's old enough to have a job, and that cafe's got a Help Wanted sign! Then she got to school, and things started getting even worse. Her first day there, after school, she got surrounded and accosted by a group of E88 thugs who implied violence, when one made a passing reference to her sucking his dick. Seeing little other option and no way to escape, she dropped to her knees and complied. The next day, she got accosted by a group of ABB thugs who called her a race traitor, and she responded to their threats by dropping to her knees for them as well. Things soon started escalating, and she soon found herself caught in the position of being exploited by both gangs for sexual favors (backed by the implied threat of violence if she didn't comply), without receiving the protections of being a member of either - and of course, the reputation of being the slut that fucks all the guys in both of the gangs didn't help her popularity with anyone else. And, of course, she can't tell her parents, because she knew that her mother would be Very Disappointed by her becoming a tarnish on the family's name and failing to live up to her expectations, and her dad was always busy with stuff at his new work.

So, she's stuck, hating her life, bound by expectations on one side and implied threats of violence on the other, when she stumbles onto a blog when she's doing her homework one day, that states in plain language that the probability of having a successful marriage is inversely proportional to the number of previous sexual partners the woman's had - that the act of having sex with a person other than their spouse causes permanent psychological damage and impairs the woman's ability to form a pair bond and truly "fall in love". So, she realizes that she can't possibly live up to her mother's expectations - that she's fundamentally broken, and she can't be fixed. So, she writes a short suicide note, then goes and gets the key to her dad's gun safe, and pulls out one of the very pistols that gave her so much joy during her childhood, and puts it under her chin, then, when she's right about to put her finger on the trigger and fire the weapon, she triggers as a parahuman.

As a Tinker, from the long-term, intractable situation. As a Binary Tinker, from the fact that the situation involved two diffferent, interconnected problems. As a Combat tinker, from the themes of violence and weapons within those problems, and thus as as Dual Welder Tinker, the combination of Combat and Binary. As a Battalion-specialty Tinker from the the themes of guns, frustration, rage, ruin, and escalation. As a Neuroaug Tinker from the themes of psychological damage, not being able to meet the cognitive tasks expected of her, and needing to be able to do more with what she has.

This is when the SI wakes up in her body, holding a tinkertech gas mask built from an assortment of items in her dad's survivalist cache.

Name: Caoimhe McAlister | Alias: Lovelace
Affiliation: Merc | Alignment: Jerk Rogue
Gender: Female | Age: 20s | Build: Curvy
Ethnicity: Irish | Hair: Red | Eyes: Green
Class: Master, Stranger, Shaker
Power: Lovelace has the ability to convert feelings, sensations, and mental effects into ribbon like material that she can then control those in contact with it can feel a portion of the effect at the cost of weakening the ribbon. Lovelace is capable of using this ability to harvest and remove emotions or sensations from others to implant in another person or herself, likewise she can use this to remove her own senses or feelings to transfer. The ability can remove parahuman mental effects as well and transfer them to new targets. The effect is temporary, though for transferring Master abilities the person usually is cured, though prolonged exposure could cause a rebound. Once something has been made into a ribbon it cannot be dismissed, only transferred to a new target or destroyed.
