• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

Editing is broken.

I thought it was just my hotspot acting up, but I have this problem on my tablet sporadically. I use the base Safari browser. I almost always have 450-500 tabs open, if that plays a role.

Hey, so editing now works once, but then you have to refresh the page to be able to edit a post again. So what now?

I tested in Firefox, so it's consistent with that idea.

I don't have a Chrome immediately available, but I can try testing in that once I'm back at a machine that does.
Did you ever get a chance to do this follow-up test?

I don't have a Chrome right now either, or I'd have tested it myself already.

We've already done this song and dance in this thread. It's a chrome issue. Not a chrome add on issue.

Edit to test if the latest chrome update fixed it.

Edit 2: Well, it looks like it fixed it.

Edit 3: Huh, it looks like after updating to the newest chrome, the matter has been fixed for me.

Edit 4: Testing again. If you can see this, the problem has been fixed for me.

Didn't work for me. I'll see about updating, later on. Don't want to close chrome as I have a lot of writing in some tabs. Yes, I know it can be saved and chrome remembers, but I...just don't want to close, till I'm done. Just in case.

Ooh, helpful. Can you report the version number for other people's reference? (Generally under some sort of "about" option.)

I've gone a long time without updating, but I updated about an hour ago to Version 87.0.4280.66 (Official Build) (64-bit)

And that seemed to fix it. Statistically, the fix was in one of the many updates between my last update and this one.

I can confirm that it also occurs regularly in Silk browser.

I use Firefox primarily, and I've never had this problem. It seems likely it's a Chrome browser issue. However, many other browsers also use the Chrome or Chromium engines, so something like Brave or Silk that isn't branded as Chrome but does use that engine may well have the same problem.

I had the problem in Firefox, but updating fixed it, so you might have missed it.

My guess at this point, it's related to how out of date QQ's version of XenForo is since the problem isn't showing up on SB/SV/Other site.

Yes, it does.
>Brave User

Updating to the latest version of Brave doesn't fix it, which is annoying.
