So I'm in South Carolina now and things are a little better.
Still got a long hard road back to anything like the life I had before.
It's made more difficult because the people I'm staying with live… in a more remote area and don't have reliable transportation. I'm not physically able to walk the distance to where things are, so I've decided to save up for one of those electric bike/scooter things to allow me to get to town without giving myself a cardiac incident.

Also, I'm kinda claustrophobic now? Being inside for too long makes me feel jumpy, like the walls are closing in on me.
Still, being able to sleep in privacy is just awesome. My friend here says homelessness can create a kind of PTSD and maybe that's what caused it? <shrug> Still better than eating garbage.

Have you done, or are you planning to do, anything that you should be arrested over? If not, I say you're probably fine. Just because one is capable of behaving monstrously doesn't mean they actually will, and if potentially being a mild sociopath actually bothers you, then you should be aware enough of it for it not to be a problem unless you choose to make it a problem.

Edit: That said, those personality tests tend not to be very accurate, especially the online ones. How one is feeling at the time they take the test can dramatically affect the results of most of them. I wouldn't put too much faith in the results, especially if you take it again while not deliberately answering differently and get a different result.

Nah, AntsCanada is a chill Controlled NatGeo but with bugs. This is what I was referring too. Dude goes over to his local ant hill every day and gives them Zyn + whatever other stimulant/drug he somehow managed to cook up.

I wouldn't be surprised if this dude gets booked in for trying to give his ants coke or meth.

The manager, a colleague and myself used to joke about farmed rainbow trout that's from Columbia being fed le white powder when I worked in the seafood department of a grocery store, but I never thought someone would actually carry that out on animals.

Why do Americans like Aldi so much? Over here in Germany, it's just another store chain, one out of like three or four that do the same thing in this town alone, but every time I hear from people in the US about it, they sing it praises, while also not hesitating to criticize, say, Walmart and the like.

Can anyone explain?

From the complaints my American friends have leveled? The issue is the average American chain is unironically so scummy that Aldi come off as saints in comparison.

I just realized I've never really seen the inside of a protestant Church. Considering the memes, I'm not sure I'd want to....but hey, it'd be an experience.

But I still can't bring myself to actually visit the nearest Protestant (Anglican) Church. It's honestly kinda silly.

Its considered good by the standards of the cheap grocery stores (like compared to buying groceries at Walmart), but they tend to have a much smaller selection than other stores due to locations being smaller. And obviously you've got your higher end but more expensive grocery stores that have things like a huge variety of organic items and an in-house butcher. So a great store for some people but one that plenty of others won't even consider.

Although Aldi is also a really confusing brand to talk about because ages ago it split into two completely separate companies that both use the name "Aldi" but generally not in the same region (Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd).

Nord uses the Aldi name in northern Germany plus countries like Spain, France, and Poland. Süd uses the Aldi name in southern Germany plus countries like UK, Italy, and USA.

The USA chain Trader Joe's is part of Nord and is considered a high quality grocery store.

I have a few hypotheses with explain it as the smaller footprint, reduced items on sale, less sensory stimulation, or that Aldi seemingly respects its customers enough to demand basic acts of conscientiousness. But my opinion based on experience is that Aldi in America simply has fewer dysfunctional people as customers and employees; Costco and the aforementioned Trader Joe's operate on similar principles (there was supposedly a great mutual respect between Coulombe and Theo Albrecht), as does Buc-ees or Chik-fil-a and have developed similar followings. More elaboration is beyond the scope of this forum in my opinion.

Earlier today during working I got a notification from mom that my godfather/uncle finally died (he was dying for a while from having All The Cancer), and when I got off from work and hit Shuffle on the Youtube Music playlist to distract myself the first song it played was Another One Bites The Dust.

I laughed so fucking hard I had to stop walking and people gave me stares.

Edit: Added link, also second and third on the playlist were El Wraith and Phantom Factory.
Fucking hilarious, I can't call mom like this she'd be so offended >.>

Seafood has a higher ammonia content than red meat, which may cause physical harm if overeaten.

Red meat, on the other hand, contains more of a certain chemical that triggers the brain to think 'I am full' and so is more difficult to eat large quantities of.
