  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

I was today years old when I learned that the phrase "pulling out all the stops" comes from organ music of all things. Because stops are the name for the plugs that restrict air from flowing through the pipes while playing the organ. By restricting are two different pipes you can change how the music sounds. So by pulling out all the stops the wind is allowed to blow through the pipes unrestricted.
Huh, I never would have guessed that.

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm not really into the intricacies of how music is made, but I find his videos to be entertaining and informative. Plus you can just feel his passion for music, especially when he goes into rant mode. And it's less angry, fanboy rant and more exasperation at its worst

Sunday night here, hearing love songs, thinking about a crush which coincidentally is on this site, but I will never confess for her/him because it is absolutely impractical, anyway is a interesting night. :)

Love Song.

My love songs were ones like "Baby Don't Go" (Fabolous) and "So Sick" (Ne-Yo)

Also kept quiet around my crush because I was content with our friendship and I didn't want to ruin it by saying something stupid

Meanwhile everyone around us was like "are you two dating?" on account of how we spent basically all our free time in school together

That moment where, while grocery shopping the day after going without sleep for over 30 hours, you check your shopping list on your phone, but instead find that said list has been replaced by the partial outlines of three heavily contradictory omakes for the same quest, one of which consistently refers to two of the characters using the wrong gender pronouns.

Rereading Calvin and Hobbes, and it strikes me how topical the comic strips can be even today. And with my increased life experience, I can relate and understand even more today.
Read a compilation of Calvin and Hobbes once. What stood out for me was just how hated Calvin was. Everyone in his life seems to hate him.

Also probably on the spectrum. ADHD or Aspergers. Nowadays schools and adults try and be more accepting. Not so much back then.
