Welp, i've got a fever... probably was worse the other day, but idk i was pretty out of it.

And if i dont suddenly get better by tomorrow morning, i won't be able to attend my own birthday celebration, which is on a little boat cruise.

it's been maybe three or four days since i got sick, so kinda poor timing. I think I'll probably be all better the day after my B-day at the earliest.
 
Does anyone know what a group of succubi are called? I don't think it's a pack, but the actual term escapes me.

A legion.

That is the biblical word for a host of demons.

Alternately, they can be referred to as a 'host', but that risks confusion since that's also a reference for a group of angels.
 
Tbh I think the fear about AI art is a bit excessive. A lot of AI art has shown up on my feed and while I think the waifu art is cute, it's also kind of generic. Most of it kind of looks the same. You can definitely tell when someone puts out AI art and when it is actually made by a person. There is still a place for artists and commissioned art.

But that's the thing about technology. It evolves at lightning pace. Give it another five years and then we will see.

In my opinion AI art will push 95% of artist out of work. People like 'cheap and good enough.' That as long as the AI gets close to their vision, they'll go for that rather than pay an artist to get it exactly right. Especially if AI service is easy and convenient to use. So, if an AI work is 'good enough' and has reliable and easy to use service, commissions won't have a ghost of a chance at surviving.

As for corpo artist. I could see a company keeping one or two on in order to refine the AI art but that's about it.

Some artists might stick it out for love of art itself, but I can almost guarantee that those will be few and far between. Especially if the comments they get are "What AI did you use to make this?"

I could be wrong, and I really hope I am.

Because IMHO the term "an orgy of succubi" is the disambiguation.

"Party" is already ambiguous -- it could be a legal party, a political part,y or an orgy, or a group noun.

If you make the term "orgy" ambiguous, it gains little, and removes a tool to separate meaning for an already-ambiguous word.

On another topic, I accidentally poisoned myself last night by drinking soapy water. I was washing out my water bottle, but I didn't rinse it as thoroughly as I should have, so there was a small amount of dish soap left in it. When I took a sip from it, it tasted off, so I gave it a very thorough second rinse. I woke up at 2 am to a sore throat. Dish soap is designed to strip oil off of dishes, and it can to the same to your esophagus. Your esophagus needs oils to work properly. Thankfully, it was only a small amount of soap, and other than a sore throat I have no symptoms, so I (probably) won't need a doctor's visit. However, my throat hurts like a bitch, and it may take a few days to go away. :(


In better news, I screwed around with my computer's color filters and high contrast settings, and I got some interesting results. I think that I will change it regularly to add some variety. :)

I got a notification that one of my passwords was compromised. Specifically, it was a mychart password. Mychart is a website I use to communicate with my doctor and schedule appointments. It also allows lets me access my medical records, aka Really Sensitive Data. Obviously, the password got changed soon after I found out about it. I also informed my family about it since I know they use it. I may tell my coworkers about this since they (possibly) use the website.

If you have a mychart account, consider changing the password. I don't know the size of the data breach, but you may be affected.

Meanwhile, here in the northern usa it is 60 fahrenheit (15 C for you celcius users). Warm enough to wear short sleeves. In February. When it should be freezing.
