NSFW, mainly due to the sheer fact it gets more players. NSFW things will be optional and something players pick to do.

Even better. Note that I am running a Princess: The Hopeful RP on SB at the same time, so I will have to manage my time well to play in your game.

Btw, that game permits Unchained/CofD Demons.

Not really interested in princess right now. And from what I know your talking about your diceless one, I rather prefer playing with dice and systems.

Understandable. Can I ask you for your commentary on my custom location for my RP and its unique lore, anyway?

Cross-posted from SB:

I know this isn't the Beta Reading Thread, but would anyone want to help me rewrite my fanfic, Mixed Family (an OC-centric CofD story)?

I'll remove the FGO crossover; it was inane anyway.

Or I can lean into it and promote my pet crack theory that The Root isn't really The Root after all but an Exarch that is pretending to be the source of all things to absorb the souls of Nasuverse Magi.

What do you guys think?

Hey guys what's your unpopular WOD opinion? Means that is I like Beast: the Primordial and Changling: the Dresming.

My unpopular WoD opinion?

I don't think I particularly have any that's unpopular.

Mmmm. 5th ed will probably be the best MtA edition mechanically if they ever get there. It might accident it's way into the best balance across all levels of play. I'm super hoping the hunger/rage/desperation(?) paradox analogue will be like hunger, but with paradox biting you in the dick, succeed or fail.

That's probably the most controversial opinion I have.

Honestly, I think most of my takes are pretty mainstream or completely off base because I got into WoD late and don't really have a lot of WoD people in my circle.

Loresheets in 5th edition could have been good if they were cumulative instead of replacing each other. Basically a faction rating scale if done better.

Edit

5th edition is an entirely new universe loosely related to the original and it makes me think of people that realize the cosmic retcon complaining to each other

Werewolf: My entire family line has changed, my wolf friends don't exist anymore

Vampire: the entire mechanics of how things work are different!

Hunter: I have to deal with the Glowies

Mage: Someone is fucking with us

It would make an interesting metaplot if 5th Edition is people/supernaturals from 4th Edition trapped in the Matrix (magical / technolgical / metaphysical?)

Have the players notice everything is subtly wrong and try to find a way out.

New edition werewolf is an almost entirely different setting where the breeds of werewolf do not exist and werewolves have a Highlander sense to go run at full grown adults they think are latent werewolves and go savage their arms so the stress makes them Change

And then tell them "it isn't that I infected you it is totally that you had it in you all The time."

Not sure if those count as unpopular:

I like the new V5 Hunger Dice, they are a great constant reminder about how hungry your char is and really helps give that feeling of the inner beast you can't control and always want to appease.

CoD is superior to WoD, but I still like WoD lore more, (even if it objectively speaking CoD lore make more senses.)

My personal theorie still is that the only one loresheet was supposed to only be for character creation and that you were supposed to get multiple (that stack) during the play, but they worded that badly and haven't realized that yet since anyone is homebrewing loresheet to stack anyway.

Mage: Someone is fucking with us
Mage: Not that shit again.

With Paradox I would not be surprised by it just being bad game design

That and writers not communicating with each other

That I like the existence of ultra powerful elder vampires in old WoD like the Antediluvians or the Methuselah that can casually slaughter the younger generations. Some people really loathe the idea of there being entities more powerful than their characters that they can't do shit about.

Same

Even just OLD vamps work well as a reminder of why the power structure exists instead of how writers seem to be going for "it is all a lie" now

Players thinking "yeah we outnumber him and have guns and disciplines" getting their faces smashed in due to their overconfidence works very well in the setting

Especially when they eventually get to be on the other side of that after long enough

Edit

Plans falling apart, people stealing their thunder, debt, and such should be in Vampire

I can understand as "Metis" is the name of a real life ethnic group so not wanting to have the same term to refer to giant incest babies.

but then they messed that up by having a Maori activists Mako/tattoo in their art. a very serious taboo in Maori culture.

if fifth Edition said it was a separate continuity I don't think it would have as much Grognerds.

it reminds me of a fan theory that the Chronicles of Darkness was a Technocratic simulation and the God-Machine was that computer Iteration X use to worship or another AI

You could easily use the Renown system from Werewolf
Different Virtures (and Vices i.e. costs Renown) for each Clan and Path (with some conflicts so that with some combinations they eventually will have to choose which Renown to pursue) with the Paths also serving as WtA style Camps (across Clan lines an sometimes (e.g. Nosferatu) even across Sect lines)
and maybe steal a perk or two from Shadowrun
