• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • An addendum to Rule 3 regarding fan-translated works of things such as Web Novels has been made. Please see here for details.
  • The issue with logging in with email addresses has been resolved.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
I think it was supposed to read card department, which published two game lines AFAIK, Rage and Jyhad. I think both got at least one expansion, not sure though. Rage, incidentally, gave us a metis werewolf called Banana Split.

Correct, I had edited the post to fix it, but apparently QQ didn't notice that and kept the first version.

If I want to research Werewolves does anyone have any recommendations, which WoD book/version is the best start? Any other material from other settings/sources is appreciated too.

One of the core books, Player's Guide to Garou, Storytellers Handbook, Book of the Wyrm, Weaver and the Wyld.

My advice, don't try to take everything to be true. Different tribes of Garou have different legends, different beliefs and even Garou Lorekeepers aren't certain. They can't even agree on Gaia and the Triat. Furthermore, different Shapeshifters like Werelizards, Weresharks etc have larger differences in belief.

Kinda depends on what you need it for.

Do you want to play it or are you interested in the lore and metaphysics? Or do you just want a quick overview what it is all about?

Lore and methapysics firstly.
I'm not much of a help then probably, since I never really cared enough about werewolf to go any deeper into that. I guess "W20 Rage across the World" which would be my tip for a general overview would still be helpful to look at anyway (if you can get it on the cheap). Since it does provide some nice examples about what to expect in the different location when they are Wyrm/Weaver/Wyld controlled, but it doesn't really go into the meta-physics or umbra realms and stuff.

Highlight of the session tonight:

IRA Grandpa teaching the Anarch might be licks, might be ghouls, might be herd ganggoons how to make car bombs because he knew the grandpa of one of the gangers.

So, I recently stumbled on Exalted v Wod. So, if anyone here has run it, I'm curious about the experience. I have some experience with Exalted 3e, and I've played a VtM 20th one shot.

Lore and methapysics firstly.
I will also give you one last advice.
Sometimes, people have different names for the same thing or same names for the different things. This is not always true but it might screw with you in the future.
See image.
