How did you find QQ?

Was looking up Arachne stories and wound up being googled to here somehow ...

I was roaming about on Tvtropes and something lead me to the Overlord Ascendant page (the Overlord's hiring practises?). I decided to check it out and signed up. Remained pretty much exclusive to that thread until it died went to sleep, then jumped to Final Boss Quest. Again remained exclusive until that died, then started reading a whole bunch. At some point I was directed to fictionlive (mention of Bio-weapon Quest I think). Earlier this year I decided to finally try this 'SV' thing people kept mentioning, and I'll probably make an account on SB soon-ish.

So my order of things is probably the reverse of most people's.
:p

So, Thank You QQ for giving me many fun things to read, and directing me to other enjoyable sites. m(_ _)m

I actually heard of this forum at Mechanics of In Flight where they are discussing the Issei God Quest. Took me some time before actually checking the site out.

Cambrian said in one of his stories on ff.net that the next chapter would be posted sooner on QQ, I searched for the site, skulked around a little and joined :)

I think I heard of it somewhere on SB... I can't remember where specifically, probably when someone said "post it on QQ" in a thread.

Reading this post made me so very happy =)

EDIT: Should probably answer the question huh?

I found QQ through Spacebattles iirc. I found Spacebattles through FF.net after years of trawling that site for the few gems and slowly increasing my literary standards as a reader.

Arrived on Spacebattles in search of more Worm fiction, made an account on QQ in search of more EROTIC Worm fiction.

Rest is history, though its interesting to note that I signed up on this website in 2014 and it took me about 5-6 months to finally delurk and make my first post... and then it was only 2 months after that before I posted my first story :D ("Oh Fuck Me Running!", you have not aged all that well, but you shall always have a special place in my heart...)

No idea what story or quest it was, but I'm pretty sure I just saw someone post "Take it to QQ" didn't know what that meant and asked.

I found QQ by using internet for it primary function. Looking for porn. I think it was me after reading various quests in SB, SV and 4chan that got me curious if there was a site with quests with more explicit sexual content. So I googled some thing along "Porn Quest" in search engine and link to QQ was one of the results on first page.

I heard QQ was the creepy perverted uncle to SBs overworked and uncaring father and SVs liberal and rebellious child.

So I decided to check it out, lo and behold I find a quest with my OTP and not held back by Fade to black. Unfortunately said quest had succumbed to a far more insidious thing, Hiatus.

Heard there is this den of utter peversion and hedonism from SB and decided to check it out myself.
Turns out everything is normal here and I get my fun from Rants instead of NSFW stuff.

Lazurman mentioned it in a comment on this picture over on HentaiFoundry, and following a quick Google, I located this place. Didn't actually know quests were a thing before I cam here.

Rofl, that is not currently a link to a picture on HF xD Still cool to hear Lazurman was pimping out the website in all the right places :p

Looking for worm fics, some site -- I think TVTropes, but I'm not sure anymore -- linked me to Amy's Revenge Misfires. Joined to read the story, poked around a little, then started posting at unhealthy rates. I think I capped out at somewhere around seventy posts a day at one point?

I definitely heard about SB and SV from hanging around here, not the other way around. Still don't have accounts over there.

Edit: The more I think about it, the more I think it must have just been Google. I probably didn't think to check TV Tropes and related sites for fic recommendations until later, and I can't seem to find references to In Which Amy's Revenge Misfires anywhere but Reddit, and those are from about a year after I signed up.

Same, mostly. I do have a SB account, but I don't really use it. I thought more people would be interested in a TF quest over there as compared to here, and they were, but I just like it better here.

Heard about this place through various mentions in assorted Worm threads, but only decided to drop by & sign up after Amelia moved here following the blowup between TanaNari & the SB mods over the story.

I had heard of QQ being mentioned in multiple places but I didn't actually visit this site yet until a story I was reading while lurking was axed from both SB, and SV. Then I left for abit and a story from SB was moved to here and I joined. It sucks that I can't remember the titles of the stories but I would know if I stumble into reading them again.

I found QQ through Cambrian's super old story "Oh Fuck Me Running." Found it on ff.net (don't remember what led me to it), lost the link to it, so I googled it and it led me here.

I find QQ mentioned on alternatehistory.com all the time nowadays so I likely would have found it sooner or later anyway :p.

Someone mentioned a rational lewd fic in the subreddit /r/rational. And that's how I got here.

Found QQ off of the old Anonkun site, now Fiction.live. In fact I believe that shaderic was the one to mention it on one of their short lived quests over there.

I remember it because I shortly after called them *something I shouldn't repeat on a moderated forum*.

Razor One recommended the site to me since my smut fics weren't suitable for spacebattles. Been here ever since off and on, though I don't really update my stories much anymore.

Didn't we have to remake our accounts on new QQ because the first QQ didn't meet expectations or something like that?

I'm asking because I remember being slightly annoyed at the beginning but can't remember the exact reason why.

The first QQ was, iirc, on a free Invision forum. The topic of Invision ToS came up, research discovered that porn was against the rules, so WizardOne and I did some research on other forum hosts. I couldn't find any free ones that allowed for porn, so we talked it over and made the decision to look at paid hosting. Arvixe was offering $7/month hosting and allowed porn. So, we bought a hosting account, registered the domain, and started telling everyone about it. There was a little griping at the time about having to recreate accounts, but only a little and nobody seemed to actually refuse to do so.

And years later, here we are. There were times I though we'd eventually die out, especially in the beginning, because we'd have less than 25 people on at a time. Now look at us. 500 people at any given time, and still growing. I'm really pleased by the success of QQ.

EDIT: Also, it was Questionable Gaming originally, not Questing.

Me, I found QQ because it got mentioned that Ack (yes, that Ack), had a porn story on here. Seeing as it was late at night and I had nothing better to do, I asked and got directed here. And then I hung around for a bit, discovered the IRC channel, and then wanted to play with the qqbot at the time (which was just a dice roller), so I made a quest. And then I kept making quests. And here I am....

Idly, found the site before the switch to Xenoforo. So I have that to look forward to (because I doubt it means as much as I would like it to mean, that my user number is 789).
