How Taylor Hebert Agreed to Be a Slut [Worm/Slut Life]

I mean, wouldn't it be better to reschedule the Annette's rescue to the end of the year altogether? The goal "I have to save my mother" looks much better then "I have to slug through this year".

Keeping in mind that I'm not doing a side by side comparison, so I may miss or add details, here you go.

The original CYOA did not allow for any modification of the original contract. I'm using bribery and payoffs as well as rewritting the entire form for future use (with plenty of extra options). You seem to be allowing direct substitution of options. I am in no way saying one option is superior to the other, but both are different from the source material.

Since the CYOA is designed to be used by people who signed up for it, knowing what it was, it doesn't include provisions for what happens if you decide to not go along with it. I went with "We put you back as close to where you were as possible, without risking your life." You went with "We'll put you down wherever and whenever you want." You also included a total number of time travel per contestant, which was used to save Annette.

Your world here also doesn't have any dark corners, at least not that I've noticed. They may show up later, of course. I'm not sure whether the CYOA has these dark parts, but considering some of the world building mentioned below the actual CYOA, it's probably rather dark around the edges.

I'm sure there's more, but these are the ones that jumped out at me. Personally, I think the more distinct Slut Life universes we collectively create, the better. That way people coming after us can choose or build off of the ideas they like.
The contract hasn't even been drawn up yet. Note that picking the options is by definition modifying the contract. The only substitution was to have Annette (Taylor's real mother) stand in for an actor to fulfill the same role.

It shouldn't cost the company any more to put someone down in their home rather than back in the locker (and the latter sounds creepily threatening, whereas the former puts the potential contestant much more at their ease).

Given that the "All a Dream" option has a time travel jump involved, that would be factored into the cost of presenting Taylor as a Slut Live contestant. It was just decided to use it to save Annette, thus tipping Taylor into making the decision.

As it is, Taylor's going to be as cooperative with the rules and regulations as she can, as opposed to going with whatever malicious compliance she could get away with.

It's the difference between using vinegar and honey to attract flies.

Also, Taylor hasn't yet communicated with anyone else outside that room. There's plenty of room for darkness yet.

Taylor's the sort of girl who pays her debts. "I've got my mother back. I'm reminded every day that I come home why I'm doing this. I am going to get through this, and get us both home to Dad."

Alright boss, I think I see what you are doing here and I heartily approve. More please

There are two things I'm hoping happen for Taylor's choices, Viewer's Choice and Walking Billboard. :D

I think I mistyped, then. I meant that substitutions in the result of the options is not supported by the original CYOA. Doing so is reasonable, and the way you do so makes sense. It's still a modification of the CYOA.

You actually attract more flies with vinegar, but I know what you meant. There's reasons I'm doing otherwise, though whether they are good reasons is open to debate... once enough information has been presented to actually have that debate. That said, your Taylor is likely to be more trusting of the company long term than mine is.

This is one of the reasons I'm not going to bring Danny into it. "I'm sorry, Mrs Hebert, but we pushed the spirit of the rules enough by allowing you to act as Taylor's mother. Bringing your husband into it wouldn't add any extra sexual tension, and would quite likely reduce your daughter's potential for adventurousness. So we're going to have to decline."

As per Akeno's discovery in a certain Sephiroth Graal based High School DxD fic on this site. It seems that in porn logic "Mom is back from the dead" is code for non-too-old parents to spend many consecutive hours going at it possibly starting at the dining table before even finishing dinner and still at it with no breaks over 15 minutes (e.g. bathroom, food, drink, etc. breaks allowed) the next morning.

Bringing Danny in but limiting contact to ONLY Owner hours would present the comedy of "this is what Dad thinks she's doing" versus "this is what she's actually doing" and other fun stuff you don't usually see in Slut Life (exotic = fun to watch).

It's 3:50 AM and I think I'm too tired to get what you're aiming at.

Mind clarifying, please?

She is, for sure. But how would the SL management know she'd be more motivated by an already eaten carrot then by a low-hanging one? Plus, "I am going to get through this" is just a more pleasant rewording of "slug through"... Those people might be good at evaluating person character, but it still seems like a bit of stretch to me.

I see your point, though.

Technically it not set in stone yet what Annette would do next. For all we know she would sent back home so Danny won't go insane from Taylor being gone a year. Or she decides to become a contestant so that she might have a time travel package. Maybe she become a roommate/owner for Taylor for all we know.

Well, it's not like she can just run off home with Annette. She only gets to leave with her mother once the terms of her contract are fulfilled.

Also, they brought her mother back to life. There's a certain amount of gratitude, right there.

You know, I'm not certain I'd be more surprised if she chose the Futa option and applied it to her mom in order to metagame it, or if she didn't.

In that fic, a Jumpchain fic with DxD as the first stop, the guy had Sephiroth Graal, able to resurrect anyone.

He resurrected Akeno Himejima's mother. Baraqiel took an extremely short time to show up, read the contract for some demands by the guy's harem members, and sign the agreement to be able to resurrect his relationship with Shuri Himejima. Akeno had reunited with her mother a couple days before Baraqiel was notified (I strongly suspect she used him knowing that as a cop-out excuse for his later inconsiderate behaviour), and Akeno's Dad was so happy to have her Mom back that they started fucking at the dinner table (Akeno made a quick exit) and she spent the entire night awake due to the noise. They were still at it the next morning when she left for school.

For Taylor's case? "Do you know how many times I heard you at least claim orgasm last night, Mom?" could well be parried by Annette with "If you didn't masturbate to the sounds while pretending it was unfamiliar people who happened to score a false positive on voice recognition, I would suspect you were asexual... uh, Taylor, you do realize the feminism I was part of included the idea of being as open as men would be about sex... oh crap, MEDIC!" ...because Taylor toppled over in a dead faint. Yes, Taylor, your Mother was a Bad Girl...

Do you live in India? Because that's what 3:50 AM where you live suggests to me...

Think a little further south but not quite that cold.

Maldives?
Diego Garcia?
Ile Bourbon? Mauritius?

cause Western Australia is too far east... and Madagascar too far west. I'm running off of Europa Universalis 4 islands (which I don't really remember as I haven't played Ming since Westernization was removed) here

Ah no Ack's an Aussie but lets let the poor guy sleep people.

Pretty sure that actually makes him 7 hours ahead of me, which would put him... well, nowhere near India, for one.

(I actually do happen to know where he lives, at least down to the country; I don't think that's supposed to be much of a secret.)

I agree. I know I haven't had the time to read through all the options your modified version has, so I can't say for certain whether or not I'll be making changes when I sit down to write my own SL story, but even just as far as how the universe of SL is presented, being able to pick-and-choose is a nicely liberating choice, compared to other fanfic I've written where I've ended up having three different tabs of the source wiki open just to make sure I'm keeping everything straight.

Well Ack, you officially have my attention

Admittedly I'm still waiting on you to update on a lot of stories (Afraid of the Dark, Alea Iacta Est, Another Way, Nemesis, Price of Blood, Trump Card, Wyvern), but I'm curious to see where you'll take this
And I agree that Taylor is the type to pay her debts; hell, canonically she went back to a supervillain she left for enslaving a 12-year old girl and turned herself into the most successful warlord in the city to ensure the girl's release. That was just some random girl who got kidnapped (admittedly because of her, but still)- for bringing back her mother? Very likely fixing one of the biggest problems in her life? Oh yeah, Taylor will go all in for this, and happily so (maybe not all the time, but enough of it).

Now I'm just curious what she's going to take...
I mean, if she's already going to be watched 32/7/365 then there's no real reason not to pick up Walking Billboard
I know canon Taylor's stance on drugs, but if she's willing to try for SL that could be a decent chunk of points
If she chooses to have more than just Annette as an owner there's...actually quite a few I could potentially see her going with (Sexbot, Insect Queen, and weirdly enough Succubus/Incubus would probably be my top picks there)
I can definitely see her donating to charity (not even for the points, although I doubt she'd mind), the only caveat being that she would want to make it worth donating (in her own mind)
she's obviously not staying or going sex slave, and she's not going to skimp out on the people who brought her mother back, but I find myself wondering if she would extend her time to five years...
Safeword seems like a likely option for her, but then again she may consider it a waste of points. Vacation is probably something she would need but is it something she would spend points on?
And...hm, you said she's taking the 'All a Dream' option, but if she only gets one reward she wouldn't be able to snag anything else (like a fancy new set of superpowers), so is she just biting the bullet or is she taking an option that permits her another end-of-contract bonus?

You know, with "Was it all a Dream?"... how would Taylor manage to explain Annette if she couldn't remember the setup that brought her back... And would Annette remember?

Oh, and stumbled across another SL fic, this one's a bit... different... though. And seems to start with the contract ending. (I'm not that far into it yet)

And yes, that a MLP crossover.

It's a fun one, and also the first one I read to it's current point. Basically an AU Twilight Sparkle ends up going through Slut Life and comes out the better for it. It is another one that has expanded the world past what is provided by the CYOA.

Me, I'm hoping Annette is very libertine and a free spirit. She's almost a shoe in for the kinky librarian meme as an English professor. It's not something she might have wanted to expose a 13 year old Taylor to yet, but she could be the devil's advocate for Taylor going for a lot more point options for upgrading her powers.

Taylor's fifteen. And Annette is torn between "my little girl shouldn't be seeing stuff like this!" and "Well I want to get home."
