This fits me well enough.
I'd probably end up trying to use my ability to make money, only to fail to account for the effects of the refineries on their workers, and end up with: "My Shit's F****d Up".

Most likely fate = helping to power up the heroes by making them special equipment or "refining" them or their abilities, only to get killed by the boss or the dragon of the series to escalate the stakes before I can do enough to ensure victory.
