Kill Six Billion Demons

Woah... Yabalchoath @_@

As soon as I noticed the counters on those guys chests, I couldn't help but think of those as something similar to TFS's "Krillin got owned" counter. Pretty sure there is going to be a *ding* in the background as the numbers go one up.

Oh yes! I do adore stories with such rampant blood letting~.

And the illustrations are so lavishly lavishly detailed. I could spend hours pouring over some of these pages. And such lovely use of dark tones in these late chapters, too~.

And the story itself! Oh my, it makes my heart flutter to think of it. Such a rich and diverse world, crumbling at the edges and rotting away while its inhabitants scrabble. And in the middle of it all, a helpless waif finds herself gifted with the power of the Gods and must find her way! It's so delicious~.

And now this with Cio! What is the expression you use? Ah. I'd hit it~. Uf-fu-fu-fu~.

Yes, well. He is proud. Of course, we'll probably learn that he uses his pride as a way to justify that all he's lost and all he's done was worth it, or something sob-worthy.

Going from what Abaddon's said about the demiurges as a whole and the bits about Solomon David in particular, I think he's someone who started out a hero and became the tyrant at the end of his story.

How bad of a tyrant is still up in the air. Abaddon, when asked which Demiurge he'd live under if given a choice said Solomon, because life sucks under the others.

Of course, there's also this little story;

Very true. I believe the well-known story was that Solomon offered to split the babe in two for fairness' sake, and when the real mother began to cry, Solomon knew who was telling the truth.

In fact, I was recounted the true story of this incident by a traveling peddler. Solomon was very kind to both women and listened to their concerns, leaving them with the promise of the assignment of a high imperial clerk to their case. The clerk quickly determined in no time at all through the well-organized imperial intelligence service that one of the prostitutes had a liason with a minor but decorated officer of the third legion some time ago. Questioning the officer uncovered very quickly the true identity of the baby's mother, who were notified and brought to one of the world courts at haste. It had scarcely been a day.

Since lying in the court is a serious offense, the false mother was sentenced and executed later that day. Since copulating with an acting officer is a serious offense, the true mother was sentenced to six months of hard labor, her child was taken as a ward of the state, and her lover, the officer in question, was discharged from the imperial military, had his citizenship revoked, and died of complications from syphilis a year later, or so I hear.

The true mother is doing better, I've heard she is a clerk now, and her education was paid for by the crown.

She will still never get her child back.

So I'm guessing he's the "The trains run on time" type of tyrant.

Seriously, the JoJo is strong with this one.

One of the things I love most about Abaddon's work is that his strips are always so full of stuff. Neat little details I missed on the first read because I was paying attention to other things.

Like for instance, when Alison and Cio are having their stare down, Cio is standing on her toes as she's craning her head back to look her in the eye.

Cio's smol.
