The words were floating in front of you in what could only be considered to be a complete void.

"What?" At this point it was the only thing that you could manage to get past your lips in the shock of the situation you found myself in.

You have been chosen out of all the souls that passed at the moment of your death to be reincarnated into a special world with special powers. Lucky You!

That's when it figuratively hit you, you fucking DIED! "I fucking died," you said vocally after several moments. "Goddammit."

You will be allowed to Select your starting location as well as a few 'perks' to give you a bit of an edge when starting out, you will start at the age of 6.

You blink in response as you stared at the words floating in front of you in the void, moving to scratch your scalp only not to feel anything. Blinking you 'looked' down to 'see' nothing but more of the void. "Where is my body?" you voiced in baffled confusion, 'blinking' as you stared at the nothing where your body should be.

You are currently dead, what use do you have for a body?

You stared at the words before you, idly noting they were in a light blue box. "Mouthy little shit aren't you?" You questioned with an eye twitch.

You will be given a randomly generated body based upon your choices in the character selection screen, shall we begin? Or will you continue to bitch about every little thing?

You frowned in response. "Fine," you sighed as you 'slumped'. Shortly after a larger blue box appeared before you me with a number of checkboxes and choices available.

First up is where you will be born, each location has an advantage and disadvantage to them, as well as limiting what options you have for which clan you are born to.
Ame no Kuni The country of Amegakure which is lead Hanzo the Salamander and Akatsuki, this country has been embroiled in a very long civil war.

*Child Soldier - You were pressed into service as a child, leading you being forced to learn fast or die even faster, but in exchange you will be unable to properly understand anything but war and battle. +50% EXP to battle based skills and ninjutsu, +10 to any combat based rolls (Aside from Random Encounter/Luck Rolls), -10 to any non-combat based rolls (Aside from Random Encounter/Luck Rolls)

Orphan Child - You have no idea who your parents are, all you know is that you've been alone from the very beginning trying to survive in this harsh country, you don't even know if you have an important bloodline of some kind. A random roll will decide upon a random bloodline from a random country upon creation.

Poisonous One - You were an experiment by Hanzo to see if it was possible to replicate his success with transplanting a poison sack of one of his Salamanders into a human body, well, out of the thirty children operated on, you were the only one to survive, congratulations, you now have Hanzo's full attention on you, for all the benefits and hindrances that brings to you. You very breath and blood is poisonous and if the poison sac is ruptured you and everyone in the immediate area will die, immediate access to poison based techniques

The Dawn Will Come - The Akatsuki saved you, and as such you are their tool and weapon to be used as they wish, on the plus side, if you can convince them, you have the tutelage of some of the most dangerous individuals around. Start as a member of the Akatsuki.

Escapee - You hated it in Ame no Kuni, your parents did, and so did your neighbours, unfortunately, in your combined efforts to escape only you managed to survive the border crossing far enough for the pursuing Ame-nin to give up on you, good luck surviving in an unknown country without any identification. Will roll for a random country that you will end up in.

Taki no Kuni, the country of Takigakure, a minor forested mountainous region filled with flowing rivers and majestic waterfalls, shame the only thing that sticks out was that the Shodai Hokage pitied you enough to give Takigakure the Nanabi when he was handing out Bijuu.

Start with the Water Walking Chakra Skill

Mizu no Kuni, the country of Mizugakure where bloodline abilities are persecuted against and hunted to extinction by the Sandaime Mizukage, currently in a civil war.

A Bone to pick - You are a member of the now defunct Kaguya clan that attacked their own village to satiate their thirst for battle. Dead Bone Pulse available for use, +25% EXP to combat related skills and ninjutsu, +5 to non battle based rolls, -5 to non battle based rolls.

Ice Cold - You are a member of the nearly extinct Yuki clan, hunted and hiding you are helped by the fact that you are able to use your clan's Ice Release Jutsus. Ice Release available for use. You start with Natural Water and Wind Chakra Affinity Perks.

Boiling Water - It really shouldn't have surprised anyone that the clan that was gifted with the Boil Release resided in Mizu no Kuni, everyone will be nervous about getting into the water with you. Boil Release available. You start with Natural Water and Fire Chakra Affinity Perks

A Killer Personality - Your village is called the Bloody Mist for a reason, your past has been steeped in blood from even before you started at the Academy, killing people to survive is your legacy, but it will always make people nervous when dealing with you. Start with the Silent Killing perk and Hidden Mist Jutsu, -100% to all reputation gains, start at 'Distrusted' Status with many factions and individuals

Fun with Swords! - Your village is very well known for it's Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, so much so that you wish to emulate them, but your zeal in imitating them has led to certain deficiencies. Start with a mediocre quality Katana, +20 to all sword based rolls, -10 for all other rolls

Making A Splash - You are apart of the Hozuki Clan and are able to use their signature Hydrification Technique, make sure to drink plenty of water now! Access to Hydrification Technique and its offshoots, start with Natural Water Affinity

Kaminari no Kuni, Home of Kumogakure, one of the more militarized villages of the Great Five Nations, be ready for cold weather, falling hazards and rapping Jinchuriki's, you have been warned

Stormy Skies - You were chosen in the Academy to learn a specific type of jutsu by the Raikage. Storm Release available.

To Swiftly Flee! - Your clan has always been fleet footed with their hidden technique, you have been no different, although for some reason people seem to think that you like to run from fights. Swift Release Available, people will have a tendency to taunt you.

Thunderstruck - Living in the land of lighting has given you a profound understanding of Lighting and Thunder, the constantly noise does hurt your hearing. Thunder Release available, hearing checks will all be at a disadvantage

Sagely Weapons - Not many receive the honor to learn how to use the artifacts of the Sage of Six Paths, but you have, and with it, came the attention of those with… Less than helpful means - Access to the Tools of the Sage of Six Paths, you will experience a constant stream of thieving and assassination attempts

Ride the Lighting! - The Sandaime Raikage made his name known when he went untouched by all save the Hachibi, many are hoping you can do the same when they start you training in his technique. - Start with Natural Lighting Affinity Perk, you will undergo intensive training in Lightning Release Chakra Mode, failure will result in permanent crippling injuries or death

Blinded by the Light! - With it's frequent storms and cloud cover, light is a commodity in Kumogakure, something your clan always had in excess thanks to you Hidden Jutsu. - Start with the Light Release Perk.

Kaze no Kuni, home of Sunagakure and dominated by a massive desert, the people are hardy and unfazed by the sandstorms that frequent the area.

*Sandwalker - considering your village is in the middle of the desert, is it really any surprise that you are able to easily move through the desert? It would be stupid to live here otherwise! You have no movement penalties when moving through the desert and won't get lost amongst the sand, you also know where to find oases for water.

Scorching Winds - Your clan has always been a smaller one, but none can deny that their jutsu is frightening, especially in the desert where hot winds blow on a daily basis. Scorch Release available. Start with Natural Wind and Fire Affinity perks.

A Magnetic Personality - Being able to move particles of iron will definitely get people's attention, especially considering how strong the Sandaime Kazekage was. Magnetic Release(Iron) available. Additional attention to your career

How could a bolt of cloth hurt me? - It doesn't look impressive at first glance, but as with all ninja, appearances are deceiving as you can do a lot of things with some cloth and a bit of fuuinjutsu. Cloth Manipulation Technique available. +15% EXP gains to Fuuinjutsu skills

Not Dolls, PUPPETS! - Puppetry is a well respected tradition in Sunagakure, although some people are prone to tease you about it sometimes. Puppet Technique available, will often be taunted for playing with dolls

Tsuchi no Kuni, home of Iwagakure, a hard place to grow things, but somehow people survive in a place where stone rules.

*Conscripted - Iwagakure has always been militant, and within the village, if you aren't useful, you're cannon fodder until proven otherwise - You are drafted into the general army for Five Years, unless you choose to enter the academy.

KABOOM! - Welp, explosions are awesome, and right at your fingertips, LITERALLY! - Explosion Release available, you have mouths in your hands

Made of Stone - Your body is as hard as the stone you live on, making very difficult to harm you, but it is also hard to feel subtle sensations. - Stone Body Release available, sense of touch is diminished.

Like a Mole! - You always felt more comfortable under the ground than above it, who knows what may come falling out of the sky! So much so, you pretty much are blind as a mole - Hiding like a Mole Jutsu available. Blind.

Sticky Fingers! - Sometimes things appear in your pockets without your knowledge, sometimes they appear in other people's pockets, all you know is some of this stuff is pretty cool - Start with Stealth and Pickpocketing Skills

Dust is dangerous - Yup, you got the Sandaime Tsuchikage's attention, and with it Dust Release, but fuck up, and he will have your head - Dust Release available, but one mistake and you will die

Hi no Kuni, home of Konohagakure. A fairly moderate nation when compared to others like Mizu no Kuni. While not a military powerhouse like others, they are arguably one of the strongest economically due to the sheer size of their territory.

Jutsu Thieves- Member of the Uchiha Clan, and wielder of the Sharingan Bloodline. Capable of learning non-bloodline Jutsu when you Sharingan is active. But be careful, Uchiha have been shown to be mentally unstable in some way.

Eyes in the back - Member of the Hyuga Clan and wielder of the Byakugan bloodline. Gives the user the capability of 359 degrees of vision when active. Unlocks Hyuga skill/Jutsu tree, people will always wonder if you are peeping on them with your eyes.

Man's best friend - Dogs are awesome, who needs cats! At least you'll never be alone with your buddy at your side! Member of the Inuzuka Clan and user of Ninken. - You have a Ninken partner until they die, access to Inuzuka techniques. You will behave more animalistic and have dog like instincts, so watch out for squirrels!

FOR THE SWARM! - Bugs are dangerous creatures that many don't really think about, but you do, not surprising considering they live inside of you. Member of the Aburame Clan - access to the Aburame Clan techniques and abilities, people are often grossed out by you.

Mindwalker - The mind is a fragile thing, and you call the minds of others your playground! Member of the Yamanaka Clan. - access Yamanaka Jutsu and techniques, your body will be vulnerable when using them.

Troublesome - Member of the Nara Clan. People always see you as lazy, but your mental acuity is the best in the village, and your skills in the family's signature Shadow Possession Jutsu are nothing to sneeze at. - access to Nara Jutsu and techniques, -10 to motivation rolls

Big Eater - Some people have bigger appetites than most. As a member of the Akimichi clan, you have one of the biggest appetites in the village, and are sometimes called fat, but you certainly know how to throw your weight around. - access to Akimichi Jutsu and techniques. Will alway be on the large size

Uzumaki Descendant - While the clan was scattered, some made their way to Konoha and set their roots down there, hopefully some people will get the hint not to try anything with your ramen. - Access to learning Uzumaki Fuuinjutsu, larger than average Chakra Pool and will have the attention of some… less than stellar people.

Clanless - You are civilian born, your parents, while successful merchants, have never learned how to use chakra, nor do you have a repertoire of exclusive techniques for you to learn, good luck buddy, unless you make very good clan friends, you're on your own. - No Clan techniques of your own, more money to work with though!
You couldn't help but blink at the massive amount of choices before you, huh… this will be hard to choose… but in the end you probably should go for…



So, I'm DragonKnightRyu, I decided to try making an RPG/CYOA on QQ based off of my Ninja Gamer fic, so yeah, make your votes for your starting village and Perk! []Pervert - You read the Icha Icha series, and do so openly. - Start with Stealth Skill and PERVERT! Perk, but will take a loss to your reputation when caught peeping

[]Good with numbers - You've always been good with numbers, and money hasn't been much of an issue when you started taking control of it personally. - You can find bargains easier and are able to find good investments

[]Truthseeker - You've always hated lies and deceptions and pursued the truth no matter what the cost! - start with the Interrogation skill, able to find the truth, for all it's good and ill

[]Knife to meet you! - Shinobi are good with knives, you've turned it into an art form, don't slip up and lose your fingers!- start with Intermediate Knife Fighting Skill

Alright, been seeing a big argument going on so I am going to clarify a few things, first, for clarities sake, this is NOT a true blue 'Gamer' fic where you will have access to an 'Inventory' screen or be able to select perks and assign stat points on level up, I will be using a MODIFIED version that will work something like D&D

STATS
Stats will look like this (This is only an example, not the starting stats for the character you are creating right now)

STR(Strength): 16 (+3)
CON(Constitution): 17 (+3)
DEX(Dexterity): 9 (-1)
WIS(Wisdom): 13 (+1)
INT(Intelligence): 18 (+4)

Strength - Strength dictates ones physical power, influences some taijutsu and melee weapons and will have an impact on actions that require brute strength to accomplish

Constitution - Constitution effects your Maximum Health and Chakra pools as well as base resistance to poisons and negative effects, influences Taijutsu

Dexterity - Dexterity affects one's ability to dodge, move acrobatically and special movement (Like tree hopping), influences some Taijutsu and ranged weapons

Wisdom - Wisdom affects one ability to understand how one decision can affect oneself and the world and can help resist negative mental effects, a component of Chakra Pool and influences Chakra Control

Intelligence - Intelligence affects one ability to understand how the world operates and figure out minute details, a component of Chakra pool and influences Chakra Control

Stats can be increased upon a series of 10 successful training rolls at a DC of 50 with no modifiers

CHAKRA POOL

Chakra Poll will be base (WIS+INT)xCON with any modifiers from special buffs or perks, using the above stats would give you a chakra pool of 527 which in this setting would be a decent amount

ROLLS
I will be using a 1d100 for general rolls and may use another type of dice for special circumstance or chance rolls. 1 = CRIT FAIL bad things are about to happen to you with another roll for severity, the higher the roll, the worse it gets. 100 = CRIT SUCCESS great things are coming your way, the higher the follow up roll, the better it gets.

An example of a [Tree Walking] Skill roll, using the above plus the perk [Too Much Chakra] at a DC of 25

That would be considered a failed roll resulting in slipping from your perch that requires [Tree Climbing]

SKILLS

Skills are LEARNED, whether it was in the class room, with the jonin sensei or self training, actions can bring about skills.

Beginner-Basic-Advanced-Mastered

You can train your skills to advance them in ranks, to go from Beginner to Basic one must succeed in 5 training rolls, Basic to Advanced is 7 training rolls, Advanced to Mastered is 10 training rolls

Crit Successes can lead to the roll counting as 2x, 3x, or 4x as effective, some areas have bonuses to training rolls and quickness of progression

PERKS

Perks are earned through actions and accomplishments and will have an effect relating to so, for example, crit succeeding on training in Sage Chakra can get you a [Natural Sage] perk that would passively increase the skills of your Sage Chakra based abilities

Honestly, with your mental debate, it was either going to be [Shapemaster], or [Flicker]. But in the end [Shapemaster] ended up being your pick. [Sealmaster] was actually a rather simple choice to make, given the fact that you were going to be an Uzumaki, giving you a head start on learning it was a simple thing. Now [Medic Nin] was another choice you locked into pretty easily, when one thought about it for a second, it really was a bullshit power to have in the Naruto-verse.

Just look at Kabuto, the man could regenerate on the level of Naruto… who was a goddamn Jinchuriki.

And that's not mentioning the bullshit power of Tsunade's Yin seal.

With a sigh you selected your choice of gender and inputted a name for your new self before a new list appeared before you.

Please select your character history! This will have some minor effects on your interactions with the people around you and some may even have unforeseen benefits. Note: Some choices may or may not be available due to previous selections in the character creation.

[] Orphan - You don't really remember your parents, you were too young when they died to remember them properly, as a result you grew up in an orphanage until you decided to join the Konohagakure shinobi corp, leading to the Hokage granting you an apartment that is paid for by Konoha until you either flunk out of the Academy, or become a genin.

[] MInor Civilian Family - Really, they never really stood out all that much, either of your parents were shinobi, they never mastered great feats of power, but nonetheless you wanted to be a shinobi and make a name for yourself, thankfully your parents are fully supportive of your efforts and will help you whenever they can.

[] Major Civilian Family - Your parents are pretty darn wealthy, merchants that decided to make residence in Konoha to peddle their wares to the shinobi, and made a pretty penny doing so too. Although, this has led to them not really paying attention to you, they are will to fund what they believe to be a silly little venture of being a shinobi.

[] Minor Shinobi Family - granted, they never made it past chunin, but your parents are experienced shinobi and since you could walk, they've been teaching you these little tricks and tips on how to survive as a shinobi, and they may even show you some things they don't teach in the Academy.

[] Major Shinobi Family - Everyone in the village knows the name of your family, and there was never a question of you being a shinobi, only a foregone conclusion. Doesn't help that your parent's expectations is combined with their indifference that is only broken by continual success.


[] Nomadic Family - Your family moved around alot, leading you learning much about the world around you and making friends with some odd people. Despite their own personal wanderlust and itch to travel, they understand and support your wish to be a shinobi and came with you to Konoha to be with you while you went through the academy, although when you either fail or succeed, they will be on the road again eventually.

[] Foreigner(Write in minor country) - You are not a native to Konoha, you are from a rather small country that doesn't have a hidden village of its own, and while sad to see you go, your parents saw you off with proud smiles as you joined a trade convoy on its way to Konoha so that you can become a shinobi.

[] Former 'Servant' Family - Your Clan had been subverted and scattered to the winds due to the actions of others, as a result your family had been taken in as 'Servants' to another clan, but your parents didn't want that life for you. So, in the dead of night, before a seal would be placed on you to entrap you into serving the family. Ending up in Konoha you decide that you will become a shinobi and gain the power needed to save your family.

Oh great, even more life changing choices to make! Dammit, you don't even know how this will affect everything in the end.

Don't forget, you must also allocate your stat points!

STR(Strength): 10
CON(Constitution): 10
DEX(Dexterity): 10
WIS(Wisdom): 10
INT(Intelligence): 10
You may allocate 15 points to each stat, and if you really wish, you may reallocate points to different stats (Example, reduce STR one point to give DEX an extra point)

So please note what you want each stat to be using a base of fifteen points. (Note: Stats will be a PLANNED vote)

Oh! And just a friendly warning, I know you know the story of Naruto that your world put out, but don't expect it to work the same way here, after all, every time a butterfly flaps its wings, a hurricane begins to form. And you are about to make a very big splash!

Alright, gonna say this so that there is no question about it.


Sorry everyone, but this quest is unfortunately dead I bit off more than I could chew when I started this, it was too close to Ninja Gamer and it was really had to draw motivation to start it, now, I might start up somethibg similar again, with more clearly difined rules.

Again, sorry, if someone wants to pick this up and run, go ahead, but this thread is dead
