News and Headlines...

They say Canada (north of US), but then they go on to mention the states of Texas, Florida, and Georgia... which is lolz.

The only border those sates share is with the ocean.

I guess the pigs are swimming down from Nova Scotia?

Nah, those are the US states that already have a hog problem without the super hogs

Yup, to the point where hunting them en masse from helicopters with automatic rifles and 100 round double drum mags is seen as not only effective but absolutely necessary. Wild boars are hideously destructive, with a pack of a couple dozen capable of stripping an acre of farmland bare of crops in a single night.

They will also kill and eat any animal they can get their tusks on, and that becomes fairly dangerous when there's a dozen of them and only one of you. People getting gored by a pack of these things is a very real danger to the point where a woman got attacked, killed and partially nommed on by a pack of them a couple years ago in Texas.

They are voracious, envasive and are a problem from west texas all the way to the east coast and the everglades of florida. I'm pretty sure you don't even need a hunting licsence to bag them in a couple states because they're just that much of a pest.

So surprisingly sad to hear of this news, he seemed very active, burly, and happy until his abrupt end, even though 76 is fairly in line with the typical life expectancy.

All the "best" traits of domestic pigs and wild boars, coming soon to a United States near you!
We've been dealing and struggling with those animals for decades now. Feral hogs are a serious menace down south, enough that the limit is "please kill as many as you can" and normal sportsmanship laws go out the window. That's how stuff like Helibacon got started.

I wonder if the boar are still edible after being machine gunned from a helicopter?

Isn't it the other way around?

The Eurasian wild boar was introduced in the 1900s deliberately by companies which wanted to sell hunting access, and they bred out of control with the escaped farm pigs that had been around since the 1500s.

From what I remember reading, the helicopter hunting companies tend to do what they can to stay in business -- to ensure that their hunts don't threaten to fix the problem -- which is honestly what everyone should expect from a for-profit company. Wouldn't surprise me if they were caught lobbying against more realistic solutions to the problem.

just heard that Akira Toriyama Died at March 1.. RIP Dragonball

Damn, E. Asian manga/comic illustrators just keep on dying relatively young in their 40s, 50s and 60s from presumed long term lethal stress levels (South Korean illustrator Kim Jung Gi and Beserk creator Kentaro Miura both suddenly dying from traumatic blood circulation issues recently seems less of a coincidence now).

@Biigoh ... what do you have to say for your mainland cousins, you walking hot-pot ingredient? Or it is all the fault of the civet cats, who led them astray?

Article:
Actress Dame Maggie Smith, known for the Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey, has died at the age of 89, her family has said. A legend of British stage and screen, she won two Oscars during her career - for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in 1970 and California Suite in 1979. She had four other nominations, and received seven Bafta awards. Leading the tributes, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Dame Maggie "was beloved by so many for her great talent, becoming a true national treasure whose work will be cherished for generations to come".

Dame Smith portrayed Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter films and the razor sharp tounged Dowager Countess Viola Crawley in Downton Abbey.

Alright, which one of you guys are responsible for this?

We were using computers for porn as early as the 50s, we used SAGE, a computer meant to collect radar data and coordinate NORAD, to show pinups. If it is a choice between preventing nuclear armageddon and boobs, we will pick boobs 10 times out of 10. Humanity is just that thirsty.

You guys know the new Wicket movie coming out soon-ish?
Mattel already released some Toy figures for it, but well:

View: https://x.com/just2goodYT/status/1855382617085878447

The official Mattel Wicked dolls link to a porn site on the box

Rather specifically, the boxes(and manuals) have "Wicked.com" printed on them instead of "WickedMovie.com".

I have no idea about anything concerning the movie or whatever, but it's news and it's funny.
The Lego sets have the correct URL printed.
