Those aren't even bad tunnels. Try Kansas City.

Can you spot the violation?

Here's a bit of a blast from the past, with a case that rises to new levels of people doing stupid stuff to play Pokemon Go- 2 now former LAPD officers who were fired over a 2017 incident where they blew off a call for backup at an ongoing armed robbery in order to hit a number of Pokestops in order to try and catch a couple Pokemon they had been trying for (all recorded by their cruiser's cameras) just had their appeal denied.

Yea, he was an idiot.

Do NOT do this! Look shit up an a map and decide if GPS is screwing with you.
GPS has no idea about road conditions. GPS does not take road restrictions into account.
Do NOT rely on GPS!

I'm honestly not sure if I agree with the trucker here or not.
I mean, the normal rules for merging, the truck had right of way.
And the 4-wheeler was being a shitbag, and looked like he was trying to climb into the cab.
Not sure if he deserved to lose a leg though (assuming he was trying for insurance to begin with).
But the shitbag isn't going to do this again.

I know. It's just very depressing that this kind of Mad Max shit is the new normal.
It's been normal for a while now. I can remember jokes about Chicago and Detroit and highway shootings from the 80's. Likewise California (LA) and New York need something like this as well.

I've been driving through New York highways and seen pick-ups behind semis driving down the road with people in the back of the semi throwing freight to people standing on the pick-ups hood before tossing it to people in the bed of the pick-up. The semi driver knew about it, but couldn't do anything because they'd just shoot him if he tried. And if he lived, any of them injured could and would sue him. And in a NY court probably win.

WATCH: This commercial for a bread company led to one of the greatest trucking movies of all time

This one is important. This one might be affecting you guys as well.

That's why wide loads need escort vehicles. Either the trucking company was trying to save money, or the escort wasn't doing his job. But the driver of the white truck isn't the least bit at fault here.

2 really good drivers, 1 really bad
Two videos on this one, one of which is slow to upload, but both are good dashcam videos of just how quickly road conditions change.

I knew both of them
It isn't mentioned in the article, but they both worked for SBS. SBS is one of those companies that I go to about once a month or so. I've had to deal with both of them in the past, him more than her unfortunately. Changes in policy since covid meant I hadn't seen her in a while. I had no idea she was dating him though. I used to joke with one of their old employees about feeling sorry for however ended up dating him. He was VERY strange, and more than a little aggressive. Aggression isn't actually all that uncommon in the business though, and I'd occasionally see him at other locations as well. I don't think anyone liked him, and FA kicked him off their dock once.

Now for something completely different and not nearly so depressing [and very unusual for me, not trucking related].
Of course, get ready to have your self esteem kicked in the balls. :p
