Chapter 8: Farm time.

You hum, well, as much as an orb can. The Hive that had come back were in their favorite position of, take a wild guess, prostrating themselves beneath you and offering up their praises.
Alright, the chanting was getting to be a bit much. You needed them out of there. " Go out and scavenge for me." You commanded, doing your best to sound imposing. They quickly leave with chittering sounds, rushing out the door of the cave.
Having the infernal chanting crowd out of your lair, you hum and think. Now, you could buy more things, but what would you do without a plan?
Well, some kind of defense would probably be best, to make sure even if all your guys were gone you weren't totally helpless. A hole appeared near your core, covered in a way that if a person was looking for it would find, but a careless person would easily fall in.
A plan was forming. You bought another Thrall, listened to a minutes worth of screeching, and then sent it to the Fallen base, joining the other Thralls and pushing the wagon.
You then had them looking around, scratching the ground and looking for Spin Metal. When they found a good amount of it, they quickly started scrapping and pulling it out as much as they could without killing the plant.
Leaf and scrap slowly filled the wagon, soon bursting to the brim with Spin Metal. You were about to have them bring it up to your dungeon when you noticed your group of Acolytes and Knight rushing back to the cave, the Knight seeming to have what was... was that a trolley?
The Knight hurried in with a trolley that had several small boxes on it, one or two marked Rations, and another filled with what seemed like ammo for Fallen weapons, along with a couple of actual Fallen weapons, shock pistol ends peeking out. " They're on our tail!" He yelled as the Acolytes got behind any cover they could find, firing at what seemed like a swarm of buzzing Shanks and some Dregs.

You growled and started barking out commands, your soldiers listening and nodding, following your orders.
The Thralls quickly came screaming out, Knights in front of them, absorbing any hits to keep the Thralls alive. And while the Fallen were distracted by the screaming monsters in front of them, the Acolytes quickly surrounded them, focusing on any of the Dregs that pulled out their knives.
Losing a number of their kind to the purple bolts of the Hive quickly had the Fallen confused and afraid. Their shanks were being slaughtered by the Thralls and Knights, and they coudln't even run away without risking losing their heads. One of the dregs tossed a grenade which was caught by one of the Knights. It growled and quickly tossed it back, leaving burnt flesh and about only three Dregs left, along with five shanks.
The shanks did manage to kill one or two of your Thralls, but not before being ripped to shreds. When the last of them were gone, the Knights turned their attention to the Dregs, who were hiding behind scraps, trying to huddle and make themselves as small as they could to avoid getting hit. They snarled and pointed their sword at the Fallen. " Hunt." It growled, not saying another word as the swarm of Thralls turned them to shreds.
When the last of the Dregs screams were gone, and they had checked to make sure no one else was coming, they looted the guns. One of the acolytes made sure none of the others were watching before cutting off a piece of the biggest dregs cloth, clutching it tight in their claw. They then joined the rest of the group.
" Master, we return with Victory."
" Excellent. And what do you give to me my servants?"
They bow and drop the guns onto the ground, letting them be absorbed into your floors. " We bring weapons my lord, Fallen weapons'."
" Good, good. This will go well with the other Fallen things I have." You looked at them. " Well, I have nothing else for you right now. Just, do whatever you want to."
They then got on their knees and started praying. Fuuuccckkkkkkkk.
