• An addendum to Rule 3 regarding fan-translated works of things such as Web Novels has been made. Please see here for details.
  • We've issued a clarification on our policy on AI-generated work.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

Potential Rule 8 Question: Regarding the Recent Anti-NSFW Content Bans...

Are you sure they caved instead of using it as an excuse or even sponsoring and creating the excuse?
You mean the same Credit Card companies that let people pay onlyfans and porn hub for actual CP for years and that still do business with multiple shitty places, companies and people?

Yeah, I am pretty sure, they want money, they want to have good optics because muh investors, and they don't give a rat's ass about anything else.

This form of slacktivism pandering is right up their alley.

There are three things big money is afraid of:

1. Losing money (unless it's your money, not their own)

2. Taking personal responsibility for anything

3. Getting physically attacked

The options for ordinary people, therefore, are:

1. Boycotts

2. Naming and shaming

3. Torches and pitchforks

Well I am not buying anything else from steam unless it is via those credit codes you can buy from stores and such.
Ans I will be paying with cash.

I will also be checking how much money mastercrap gets from my purchases(I have a debit not a credit card), and I will be making sure to limit my purchases to cash only.I will also be checking if alternate payment methods like Revolut touch those two companies payment systems and might get a Revolut card.
In Europe we have a bunch of options other than Visa and MasterCard, but I am not really that familiar with them.
When you have a payments account here they just give you a debit card that is either visa or Mastercard-compatible.

Yeah, it is not like I am not a corporate IT and I don't know what useless self serving passive-aggrrssive clowns most middle and upper managers and other office drones are...
As long as you showed up and did just enough to keep your job, despite being surrounded by self-serving passive-aggressive clowns, Dilbert worked. It gave you and millions of Americans a morning buzz of self-righteous superiority while reinforcing the idea that their wagecuck situation was normal and it was like that everywhere.

Big money are the ones who fly to foreign lands and privately owned islands to indulge in whatever debauchery they please. That their customers must pay fees for the privilege of paying to watch recordings of what their masters get to do and feel with their own bodies, must amuse them greatly.

The idea that karens somehow effected change by flapping their yap is cope. karens don't have that ability; they are only relevant when amplified by some major media platform, which again, are owned and operated by big money. If it seems from the outside that karens got one over on big money, the logical conclusion is that big money chose to make a change and allowed a plausible reason for that change to be promulgated through their media outlets and social media aggregators.

Off topic much, and fyi as I mentioned 4-5 times already I am from Yurup not Murikah.
Nue now.

I'll grant you 1 and 3, with the caveat that it's not fiat currency they care about, but wealth. 2 doesn't matter without the use of their assets.

I have no idea how being from Europe changes anything?
We are getting onto NWO/lizard people/Illuminati conspiracy theory territory, that is pointless.
He is talking as if I am an American, I am not.
And there are differences between US and European companies mindset-wise.
The US tech company I had to deal with was a total shithole with more pointless procedures and pointy haired boss overhead than any European tech company I've had to deal with.
There are lots of differences between big and small company culture and a bunch between European and American company culture.

Frankly America has a lot more unproductive employees and useless managers than we do.

Not that European work culture is monolithic and that American dumb ideas aren't creeping in, mind you.

Go after the Karens that started this in the first place by ridiculing them and attacking them for being ineffective slacktivists by going after pixels while they do crap like shelter real pedophiles and defend the real exploitation of children. Post images of empty planes labeled Collective Shit going to afghanistan to stop female exploitation there.
IIRC Collective Shit which pushes for much of this covered for the likes of Diddy and endorsed that movie called Cuties.

You both might be interested to know that Vice published an expose on "Collective Shout", the folks behind the delisting of NSFW content (and, of course, plenty of SFW content) on both Steam and itch.io. And then that expose was suddenly pulled by the venture capital firm that owns Vice.
Archived versions of the expose and the earlier article are fortunately available. The TL;DR, though, is that Collective Shout is a false flag, a front created to trick people into blaming the crackdown on "Karens" and "feminists". The actual backers are a group called Exodus Cry, and a group who renamed themselves to the National Center on Sexual Exploitation in 2015 but who were previously called Morality in Media. (They were both also previously involved in the attempt to get MasterCard and Visa to shut down PornHub back in 2020.)
Both groups, in addition to being, of course, anti-porn, anti-gay, and anti-abortion, are also known for going after sex education. In particular, they love to target the kind of sex education provided to younger children that is specifically about signs of child sexual abuse and about teaching young children how to speak up if they're being abused. For some reason.

It was sexier when Ivy said it.

I keep remembering a meme someone posted somewhere years ago, which was based on that "coffee you're my only friend" template. I can't find it now, but in that meme, the initially black coffee says, "Billionaire pedophiles run every country and the battle of Armageddon is at hand". Hmm, too dark. After adding milk, the coffee says, "Clown world lol!" Perfect.

Vice iirc went broke a while back, then got completely gutted, even before that it's rep was in a bad shape and since then web based journalism supported by ads and subscriptions has gotten worse and worse revenue-wise.
Their new owners want to recoup their investments, so when somebody shreaks "think of the waminz and chillinz" they would cave instantly.

Even the thread you linked uses such lovely language about it being shit and about its desiccant corpse being milked for any residual value.

You got details about how it is? Press doesn't go much about it where I live.

Also, have my condolences.
Got some details list of sites asking for age verification in the UK that I know of is:
1. Pornhub
2. Xhamster
3. Spankbang
4. Rule34(image site) although it seems there is two different rule34 image sites one the is .xxx and one that is paheal.net the .xxx is has temporary made it so that you get a message saying that because you are in the UK they had to block you but they are discussing work arounds the .paheal just let's you in
4. Rule34video has just straight up blocked the UK

Sites I haven't seen myself but I've heard about:
1. 18+ parts of discord
2. Parts of Reddit
3. X or parts of it
4. Blue sky or parts of it

It's claimed to be for the children but it covers more than porn from what I've heard it stops you from watching protests, some the parts of Reddit that now ask for age verification are alcoholic help groups it's apparently blocking some hobbies and is basically ripe for the government to go distopian on us whenever the hell they want you can get past it with a VPN but I've heard that videos explaining how to do it are being blocked and I would put money on them being blocked altogether at some point

There has been a couple of news videos about it that I didn't catch in person but saw watching people on YouTube covering the online safety act (OSA) one news video was going round interviewing people and had said the OSA would help fight against cyber bullying and protect kids against harmful porn then interviewed a woman who's son had killed himself but the video framed it like he had watched porn then killed himself because of it the video also showed the woman doing the interviewing at the HQ of one of the age verification sites (the CEO of which is also the CEO of a bunch of other big businesses there is a video by cyber waffle that covers it better than me) she puts a mask on to show that the age verification (which asks you to show your face) can't be fooled by a mask (but can be fooled by death stranding 2 photo mode apparently)

the second news video (covered by Ariel's twilight years)was 3 women and one man being interviewed on a sofa one of the women was either the creator of the act or apart of the creation of the act and is either lying her ass off or is just an idiot who as best I can tell did her research by watching BDSM videos seemed to think that all porn has choking in it
There is a petition to repeal it that got 100,000 signatures on the first day and is currently at 273,156 signatures at the moment (petition.parliament.uk/petitions/722903)
It's basically a bunch of iPad parents and conservatives that can't be assed to put parental locks on their kids devices complaining that their kids are finding porn and complained to the government

how-do-you-want-it-wrapped.jpg

I am pretty sure there was a version of this where the wrappings were "think of the chillinz" and "fight terrorism" but can't find it.

NO, YOU THINK OF YOUR CHILDREN, KAREN, for starters you can actually parent them and not use iCrap and Google to stand in for you.

Fucking hell man, and its matter of time till europe does something similar.

Heck, some countries like Spain have already the whole thing prepped, all in the name to save the children.

I still hope that the whole thing will get shut down after some time 'cause I doubt that people will take a liking to making a selfie whenever they want to watch porn. Hopefully.
