The entire reason they got Amber is because of Emerald. Emerald was the real MVP of Cinder's entire team. Without her, no Penny death, no Yang disqualification and no Cinder getting maiden powers. Like the entire fall of Beacon fails without Emerald.

We need to make Emerald break... oh! Make Emerald go with Jaune, Glynda and Nick to an orphanage to help out and have Jaune whisper into her ear how she plans to burn there home down for someone that doesn't love her. Just lean into the fact she knows he will betray Cinder and make up excuses to have her look good at beacon with him to do a day of community service And see herself in all those poor orphans and the poor families and visit a animal shelter were you help puppies and kittens just for max cuteness

Jaune was relaxing after training with his dad. He sat on a stone bench at the edge of the training field, drinking deeply from his water bottle. Nick was nearby, fighting off Nora, Pyrrha and Ren.

Nora: "EXPLOSION TIIIIME!"

Nick: "IT'S SWORD'O'CLOCK!"

Ren: "Time for Justice!"

Pyrrha: "Um... Sorry! I CAN'T THINK OF ONE!"

Nick: "YOU NEED TO WORK ON THAT!"

Pyrrha: "SORRY!"

Emerald and Cinder approached from the side, Cinder smiling slightly. Emerald followed, looking sullen.

Jaune: "Oh, hey Cinder. Hey Emerald."

Cinder: "It's nice to see you, Jaune." She sat next to him on the bench, Emerald standing off a bit and trying to look casual.
Jaune: "Likewise. What's up?"

Emerald's Semblance activated with the subtlety of heat rising. Emerald scowled at him deeply, even as Cinder's smile became a bit more sultry.

Cinder: "Now we can talk in private. Emerald's been improving."

Jaune: "I see... Good work, Emerald."

Emerald huffed and glared. Cinder shook her head.

Cinder: "Forgive her. She's being temperamental for some reason."

Jaune's Brain: Wow... That's pretty cruel. But textbook Cinder.
Jaune: "Of course."

Cinder: "I spoke with Mother... The plan proceeds on schedule."

Jaune: slowly nodded "I see."

Cinder: "Red has his forces in position. The Grimm are in place... The VDF's Fleet will be ordered away to a false emergency while the Atlesian fleet remains over Vale. When they return, we'll have everything we need and they'll be torn to pieces by Atlas' fleet." She smirks

Jaune's Brain: Wow... Okay... I'm glad I didn't fall for her. Damn...

Jaune: "I see."

Cinder: "... You seem tense."

Jaune: sighs "No plan survives first contact with the enemy, Cinder. And this is really, really big, with a lot of moving parts. I have no doubt we're going to run into a number of issues right off the bat in all this chaos."

Cinder: "The chaos is the point."

Jaune: "Frankly, I think this plan is deeply flawed and unnecessary. I already have control over Pyrrha. All we need to do is cut off Amber's life support inside Ozpin's tower and you'll have the powers-"

Cinder: "But not the Relic."

Jaune: "I could figure out a way to get you in."

Cinder shook her head.

Cinder: "We're too far along to alter the plan, I'm afraid. Unless... You believe it's been compromised?"

Jaune's Brain: There it is... I'm not sure if she's onto me or not... Think carefully, Jaune... Focus...

Jaune: "I think if we were compromised, we'd have been dealt with before now. Ironwood wouldn't wait. I just think that if we have the quiet option, the simpler option, it's better to do that."

Cinder: "If we wanted to simply take the powers and the Relic? Yes... But we don't."

Jaune: "We don't, huh?"

Cinder: smile "You care for your family. Even your puppets... But look out. Can you honestly tell me all those people deserve to live? For all the evils, all the crimes of mankind?"

Jaune: "I'm not in a position to judge mankind. It's too big for me."

Cinder: "Well I have judged them... And I feel they deserve everything that's coming to them."

Jaune: "That won't change what happened to you, Cinder."

Cinder glared angrily, her eyes glowing slightly with power. Jaune managed to remain outwardly calm.

Cinder: "Power will prevent the world from ever harming me... Ever again."

Jaune: sigh "I just feel... If we are going to challenge Salem one day... We're going to need a lot more help. Vale and Atlas are the two most powerful nations on this planet. Being able to manipulate them into joining us in overthrowing Salem is more practical."

CInder: "The force of armies can't overwhelm her. Only magic." She turned and scowled out at the Vale skyline "And a broken world is one easier to rule."

Jaune: "I see... That said... I have contingencies in place. Just in case."

Cinder: "Oh?"

Jaune: "Yes."

Cinder: "And they are?"

Jaune: "Best you don't know. They're going to rely on you acting as surprised as possible since they'll involve being close to Ozpin. We can't afford any slip ups."

Cinder: "You're asking a great deal of me."

Jaune: "No more than what you have asked of me. Besides, if your main plan fails... Best you act as natural as possible."

Cinder: "I see..."

Jaune: "Besides... Have I ever let you down?"

Cinder: smiles softly "No..."

They sit in silence for a moment. Cinder stares at him.

Cinder: "That said... I can tell you care a great deal for human life."

Jaune: "Humanity is what can conquer Salem. Good and bad. I'm just thinking in practical terms."

Cinder: "I have never been a practical woman."

Jaune's Brain: That much is obvious...

Cinder: "Still... I suppose that empathy has done a great deal for you."

Jaune: "It's like an actor on a stage. You have to believe in the false reality, if only a little. Makes the performance more authentic."

Cinder: "Then you believe in the goodness of humanity?"

Jaune: "I believe it's a power. A power that can be used as effectively as evil. Moreso, in the right circumstances. After all... A hero can claim a crown and rule more easily than a villain."

Cinder: *snorts* "Love never helped me. Heroes never did either. Fear is easier to rule by than fear... You don't have to be as vulnerable."

Jaune: "Perhaps... In any event, what do you need of me in the plan, Cinder?"

Cinder: "Must I repeat it again?"

Jaune: "Never hurts to ensure we haven't missed anything."

Cinder: "Fight with your team to the finals, of course. You should unveil more of your true ability. Your training with your parents will explain it to anyone curious. We will use Emerald's abilities to fake an attack on Mercury by either you or Xiao-Long, and then Pyrrha on Polendinia. After our announcement... You will deliver Blake to Adam Taurus. And have your women secure my route to Ozpin's tower. He will doubtlessly want to transfer Amber's power into Pyrrha. I will follow... And we will strike. He will be weakened thanks to the poison we've been slipping him for weeks."

Jaune: "... Understood."

Cinder: "We'll escape on our hidden airship. The Grimm will cover us. Any questions?"

Jaune: shakes his head "No... I think we've covered everything. We are putting a lot of pressure on Emerald... Can Neo help with the illusions? Take some pressure off her?"

Cinder: "I considered that, but Neo is far too unreliable. We're going to eliminate her and Roman afterwards. They will be of no further use."

Jaune: smirks "Well... I have no desire for a throne. But supporting a wise, powerful queen over the world? Much more my speed."

Cinder: "You have a sterling resume... I believe I will consider it. But... One step at a time."

Jaune: "Of course. Emerald?"

Emerald: "I need to speak with Jaune for a moment, Cinder. If you please?"

Cinder stares at Emerald. Emerald bows her head. Cinder chuckled.

Cinder: "As you wish."

Cinder rose and walked off, through the field of her illusion. Emerald glared death at Jaune as her mistress walked off. Jaune stared back.

Emerald: "... You're going to betray us. I know it. You know it."

Jaune: "I have literally done nothing but work to ensure we succeed, Emerald. Your jealousy is making you act irrational-"

Emerald: "Irrational?! You're too cagey! Too smart! You're obviously a traitor!"

Jaune: "Is her happiness all that matters to you? Does she care about yours?"

Emerald: "Her happiness is mine!"

Jaune: "Are you sure? Because right now she's happy... And you're not."

Emerald growls.

Emerald: "And what do you care about my happiness?!"

Jaune: "A lot more than Cinder does. My win condition allows for your happiness... Does yours?"

Emerald: glares "This isn't about her! You...You're a traitor and you're going to turn us in!"

Jaune: "And why haven't you told Cinder this?"

Emerald: "I told her! She doesn't believe me!"

Jaune: "And so you're telling me?"

Emerald: "I'm telling you that the moment you try to betray us... You'll die. And you'll never see it coming."

Jaune: "And if I was planning to betray you... Now you've given me a heads up. What is your real issue, Emerald? That Cinder likes me and not you-?"

Emerald tries to stab him with a knife. Jaune catches her fist with some difficulty.

Jaune's Brain: Sheesh she's still strong...

Jaune: "I see... You can't help how the heart works, Emerald."

Emerald: furious, tears in her eyes "You bastard...!"

Jaune: "But that doesn't mean you have to keep after a woman who doesn't return your feelings... You can be more than her servant, Emerald."

Emerald: "You're her servant!"

Jaune: "By choice! Not out of desperation! So... Maybe think about that, huh? What is your choice, Emerald?"

Emerald: "They don't matter-!"

Jaune: "They always matter, Emerald."

The illusion falls. Pyrrha, Nora, Ren and Nick approach. Nick frowns.

Nick: "Jaune! What did I tell you about making pretty girls cry?"

Jaune: "Not my fault... We just had a little situation. But it's all right now... Right Emerald?"

Emerald: softly "... Right..." She turns and heads off

Nora: "Bye Emerald! Sorry if Jaune made you cry! We can have Yang smash him in the face for it!"

The opening ceremonies were very nice. Fighter jets and Bullheads streaked overhead, there were fireworks and musical peangrformances, and a lot of other fun things. Things Jaune wasn't able to enjoy as thoroughly as he would like. But try he did.

Yang: "Mmmm... Jaune? I'm in your lap and you're not kissing me."

Jaune: "Hm? Oh, sorry..."

Yang: sigh "Seriously. Try to make a girl feel wanted, huh?"

Pyrrha: "I could take over if you'd like?"

Yang rolled her eyes.

Yang: "Later."

Jaune: "Isn't that something we should talk about-?"

Yang; "We did. I decided."

Jaune: "All right..."

Weiss: "You've yet to speak with me on the subject, Yang!"

Ruby: "Yeah! Or me!"

Yang: "We've been busy!"

Blake: "Yes, you have~."

Yang: "Oh knock it off."

The first round battle wasn't too difficult...

Jaune: "Cardin? Sorry bro but you're going down."

Cardin: "Yeah, I know... But we're not making it easy for you!"

Cardin charged, the rest of his team supporting him from the flanks... Jaune threw Dust grenades to obscure his team and they went to work. Pyrrha knocked Sky out with one blow, Ren clashed with Dove quickly, then emptied both barrels into his face and let Jaune charge, shield bashing him into Pyrrha who knocked him out of the ring. Nora just laughed and dove through Russel's Dust blasts, bashing him into Cardin's back. Jaune unleashed an Aether Blade to blast them back, Ren circle-strafed, and Pyrrha finished them off with powerful blows, before all of JNPR charged and bashed them out of the arena.

Port, the Announcer: "And it's Team JNPR in a total domination!"

The crowds cheered. CRDL walked up to the ring, all bruised and scowling... But Cardin held out his hand.

Cardin: "... Okay... Not as hard as I would have liked..."

Jaune: "You fought hard, Cardin. And I know just how lucky I am." He took his hand and shook it "Besides, tournament battles aren't the real thing. I'm sure you'll step up when the time comes."

Cardin: "..." small smile "Thanks."

Jaune: smiles "Besides, I don't think your wife cares about how you did."

He points out Velvet cheering in the stands, with their triplets. Cardin flushes and grins dopily.

Cardin: "Yeah..."

Nora: "HIIII SWEETIES! AUNTIE NORA'S BRINGING YOU CANDY!"

Cardin: "They can't eat candy yet, damnit!"

Nora: pouts "Well then I'll eat the candy in front of them!"

Dove: "Wha-Why?"

Nora: "To give them something to shoot for, of course!"

Pyrrha: chuckles

Sky: "... You know I think I'm fine with our normal team... Question is, Arc: How'd a normal guy like you get this team?"

Jaune: "Me? Normal? I stayed, didn't I?"

The first few matches went pretty much like that-The weak teams were eliminated in short order. As a result, JNPR had enough time to go up to the skyboxes of the Vytal Arena to visit family.
Aqua: "JAAAAUUNNNNE!" Aqua hugged him, blubbering away "THERE'S SOOO MUCH FREE BOOOOOZE!"

Isabel grabs her ear and twists it.
Aqua: "OWOWOWOWWWW! MOM!"

Isabel: "And you're not going to drink it all!"

Aqua: "Owwwww...! Jaune! Save me!"

Jaune: "It's nice to see you too, Aqua." He hugs her "But you really gotta cut down on the drinking."

Aqua: "I literally filter out all the bad parts!"

Jaune: "Yeah, that's not the problem."

Kazuma: "HA! Never is." He comes up behind Aqua and hugs her, pulling her away. He grins at Jaune. "Jaune! Been forever, how are you?"

Jaune: "Pretty good! You?"

Kazuma: "Doing pretty well. A lot of investments are going great but hey, I gotta go adventuring."

Jaune: "Heh. Yeah."

Aqua: "This jerk still won't propose!"

Kazuma: "I'm working on it! Geez! Darkness called dibs!"

Aqua: "YOU MET ME FIRST!"

Kazuma: "And you're still tsundere!"

Aqua: "I AM NOT!"

Jaune's Brain: Geez, this is just surreal... How much of my brain got into this world? Or was it always there? Eesh... Questions for later...

Jaune, Nora, Ren and Pyrrha move away from the arguing couple with Isabel. Isabel smiles and hugs Jaune.
Isabel: "You did very well..." She hugs Nora too "You too!"

Nora: "Hee! Thanks Mom!"

Jaune: "Thanks Mom."

Isabel: "You all did very well! Great teamwork!"

Pyrrha: flush "Thank you, Mrs. Arc!"

Ren: "Indeed, thank you."

Tangy: "A little too sloppy but serviceable."

Jaune turns... And intentionally looks over Tangy's head.
Jaune: "Hm? Who said that-" He gets kicked in the shin "OW!"

Tangy: "Hmph!"

Jaune: "Heh... Nice to see you too, Tangy. Big Sis."

Tangy: smirks "That's better."

Jaune: "PMC business going well?"

Tangy: "Very. The security contracts for Vale are quite lucrative. Your doing?"

Tangy: "Appreciate it. My adjutant is at the snack bar..."

Yup, that was Visha all right, chowing down on snacks. She waves happily.

Tangy: "Never... Also, hello Nora. It's nice to welcome you into the-"

Nora: "BIG SISTER! I'M SO GLAD TO MEET YOU!"

Tangy: "URK! Y-Yes... Same..." She smiles softly for a moment and pats Nora's back "Now put me down?"

The twins and Orchid greet them happily as well, handing both Jaune and Nora extra grenades. Orchid flushes and smiles awkwardly at them. They then go over to Lilac, sitting with her fiance Mercer Sith Junior and Katy.
Lilac: "Hello Jaune! Pyrrha! Nora! Ren! Oh, you did so well!"

Jaune: "Thanks!"

Mercer Jr: "Heh... You're fighting like your old man. Good work. Say... You know if you lost in the next round on purpose maybe I could bet-"

Lilac and Katy both smack the back of his head.

Mercer Jr: "Owww! I'm kidding, kidding!"

Katy: "You'd better be. Great work, guys!"

Jaune: "Thanks..."

They then moved to greet Saphron and Terra, sitting there with baby Adrian babbling.
Saphron: "That was really exciting, Jaune!"

Jaune: "Thanks!"

Terra: "Heh. I'm gonna brag so much to the office next week about knowing a tournament champion!"

Adrian: "Bah bah!"

Saphron: "Also Nora: Welcome to the family!"

Nora: "Hee!" She hugs her "Thanks!"

Saphron: "I've got all kinds of embarassing stories about Jaune to tell you!"

Jaune: "Nnnno she doesn't!"

Nora: "Yes she does!"

Saphron: "I absolutely do!"

Isabel: "Heh. So do I."

Jaune: "MOM!"

Isabel: "Now now, she's entitled!"

They finally get to Arjun and Saia. Young Abhimanyu, their youngest son, blushes and stammers when Pyrrha walks up to him.
Abhimanyu: "Uh, h-hey, you're pretty-AMAZING! Amazing! You too, Jaune, Nora, Ren!"

Pyrrha: "Yes, thank you!" *All smiles*

Arjun: "Yes, your father and mother's training is paying off. Good work." He smiles "We're looking forward to May's first matches."

Nora: "Us too!"

Saia: "Just don't beat her too hard, will you Jaune?"

Jaune: "I'll try to keep it manageable, promise."

Arjun: "Now now, she can handle herself... But don't strike too hard, Jaune. That said, if you face Neptune's team, please... Don't hold back."

Saia: "Arjun!"

Arjun: "What? He knows the risks!"

They move to their seats and watch Team RWBY's next match. It's up against a first year team from Mistral... And RWBY flattens them in no time flat, coordinating with devastating speed.

Nick pops in from behind them.

Nick: "HAHA! What'd I tell ya? The training tells!"

Jaune: "Geez... Looks like!"

Isabel walks up behind them too after fussing over her daughters and grandson, and smiles.

Isabel: "Still, this is only the first round. Plenty more to go."

Nick: "Come on Izzy, be optimistic! Besides, they're actually listening to Ruby. Big improvement."

Isabel: "True..."

Ozpin enters with a smile.

Ozpin: "Hello all. I hope I'm not interrupting."

Jaune: "Hey Headmaster!"

Nick: "Hey Ozzy! How's it hanging?"

Ozpin: "Just fine, thank you Nick."

Isabel: "Nick!" sigh "Hello Headmaster."

Arjun: "Hello Ozpin."

Saia: "Hello!"

Ozpin: "Well, I had the thought we could all meet up in the super skybox with General Ironwood and the rest of his guests." He eyes Jaune significantly "Team RWBY will be joining us there soon."

Jaune: "Sounds great!"

Isabel: "You don't think it will take up too much time, do you? The first round matches are being finished quite quickly."

Ozpin: "Not at all. Besides, you'll get to meet some old friends. The Schnees have arrived."

Jaune's Brain: Ah... Right... Weiss's old man... Shit... Okay... Time to put the plan into action...

Jaune: "Sounds great!"

Ozpin: "And your mother is here, Miss Nikos."

Pyrrha immediately tenses up.

Pyrrha: "O-Oh... That's good."

Jaune's Brain: Craaaaap... Okay... Okay... One problem at a time.

Huh, well I am not advocating her to be exactly like her canon counterpart but just saying that the two brother gods can easily take the place of being X in her narrative. At least partially.

The Super Skybox was pretty epic, Jaune would admit. And he didn't use that word lightly. There was a chocolate fountain and high end booze! Jaune's sisters and the Siths headed right for the buffet.

At the center of it all, looking very stiff, was Jacques Schnee, talking with General Ironwood about nothing in particular. RWBY had already arrived, Ruby going to town on the chocolate treats... And talking with Whitley Schnee? There was an interesting development.

Jaune's Brain: Maybe I can get her off my back and onto Whitley's. He should be a good guy in this timeline, right?

Blake was sitting with Ghira and Kali, all managing to look fairly diplomatic despite Jacques' presence. Willow Schnee was on a couch with Klein. Weiss was sitting with her... And some blue haired guy who was talking her ears off.

Jaune's Brain: That must be Harry Marigold... Wow, he does look like a douche. Score one for CRWBY, I suppose.

Nora: "Ren! Chocolate fountain!"

Jaune: "Try to behave, Nora."

Nora: "I always behave!" She rushes off, Ren following with a wry smile.

A beautiful short haired redheaded woman in glasses looked out the windows pensively, a middle age black haired man in a black suit standing with her. She turned and lit up when she saw Pyrrha.

Jaune's Brain: And Pyrrha's mom... And her assassin bodyguard?! Damn... I put a lot of thought into this... Or God did or... Whatever.

Jacques spotted them and walked up, a charming smile on his face as he extended his hand.

Jacques: "Ah... Doctor and Mister Arc... It's been a while. And Your Majesties, welcome."

Isabel: "Mister Schnee." Tight and polite

Arjun: "Mister Schnee." Likewise

Saia: "Mister Schnee." Smiling but tense

Nick: "... Who are you again?"

Jacques: mild twitch "... Jacques Schnee."

Jacques: "The... CEO of Schnee Dust Company?"

Nick: Blank

Willow walked up and joined them, smirking a bit.

Willow: fondly "Hello Nick, Arjun, Saia... Isabel."

Isabel: tensely "Willow."

Jaune's Brain: Wowwww... I did not see this dynamic playing out this... Uh... Dangerously in my head...

Jacques is clearly infuriated, but manages a razor thin smile. He turns to Jaune, and offers a hand. Then a hand to Pyrrha.

Jacques: "Mister Arc. Miss Nikos. Congratulations on your successful defense of Vale's gate."

Jaune: takes it and shakes it "I just played a small part. My friends did most of the work-Your daughter is the real hero."

Pyrrha: "Yes, she is."

Weiss looks over and flushes at his praise. Jacques studies him carefully.

Jacques: "I see... Well! I am pleased to see all of Weiss' friends here. I have an important announcement."

Jaune: smiles "Do tell? I look forward to it..." He eyes Yang, Ruby, and Blake approaching "I have one of my own, actually."

Jacques: "Really? I hope it goes well for you."

Jaune: "Yes, of course. Yours as well..."

Yang; "Hey Stud!" She hugs and kisses him "Mmmm... Good game out there!"

Jaune: "You too."

Ruby: "Thanks for the training, Mister and Mrs. Arc!"

Isabel: "Think nothing of it! You did most of it yourselves."

Nick: "Yeah! Oooh! Deep fried oysters! Yummy!" He heads off

Jacques heads off to mingle more with Arjun and Saia. Athena approaches.

Athena: "Hello Pyrrha."

Pyrrha: "Mother."

Athena: "You must be Jaune... Pyrrha's told me a lot about you." small smile

Jaune: "Yes. Same. I'm pleased to meet you, ma'am." Shakes her head

Athena: "You know... I felt that Beacon was far too dangerous for her. That she needed more training close to home... I am glad I was wrong."

Pyrrha raises an eyebrow. Jaune nods.

Jaune: "Pyrrha is very important to me... She saved my life. I owe her everything."

Pyrrha flushes. Athena frowns.

Athena: "Are you romantically interested in her?"

Yang: "He's very taken, Mrs. Nikos. Unless I say otherwise." grins and winks

Athena relaxes a bit.

Athena: "That's good to hear. Pyrrha? I look forward to catching up with you."

They head off, Athena glancing back at Jaune, Ruby and Yang once with a guarded expression. Pyrrha looks at them with a sad smile. Jaune gives her an encouraging smile back, as do Ruby and Yang.

Weiss comes up... With Henry Marigold.

Weiss: "Hello Ruby, Yang, Jaune."

Yang: "Hey Weisscream!"

Ruby: "Hey!"

Jaune: "Hey... And Henry, right?"

Henry: "Yes. Henry Marigold, of the Atlas Marigolds." He shakes his head with a nauseating smile "Old man, you're quite the hero!"

Jaune: "I just did my part."

Henry: "Smashing! Just smashing! Weiss has told me so much about you! You're really the great-grandson of Empress Arturia?"

Jaune: "She abdicated but yes."

Henry: "Incredible! Well, I suppose blood will tell, hahahaha! Like me! I wanted to become a Hunter but that would be a waste of my talents! Business is my business! Synergy and analytic skill tactics! All the rage, all the rage!"

Jaune: "Um... Certainly..."

Weiss shoots a pleading look. Jaune smiles gently.

Jaune: "If you'll excuse us?"

Henry: "Oh of course, Old man, of course! Wonderful, wonderful! Do you suppose I could try out your gun or sword some time?" Radiating foppishness

Jaune: "I'm afraid it's not a toy, 'old man'. Very dangerous. Best left to the experts."

Henry: "True, true. More the job for a rough kind of man, eh? I'm glad Weiss will be leaving it soon."

Ruby: "Leaving it?"

Henry: "Well we're going to-"

Weiss: "Henry! Father is announcing it, yes? Let's not spoil the surprise."

Henry: "Oh... Oh yes, quite right, quite right. Let's go, Weiss! I want to try the strawberries!" Henry leads Weiss away. Weiss shoots Jaune a pleading look. Jaune looks to Yang and Ruby.

Jaune: "... Yang? You know that plan we put together for Weiss that we were going to save for a last resort and-?"

Yang: "Yeah... No, I am totally for it Stud."

Ruby: "That guy is going to ruin her life... We can't let it happen!"

Whitley walks up, eyebrow raised.

Whitley: softly "What plan?"

Jaune: "Ahhh..."

Ruby: "Ummm... It'll really piss off your dad?"

Yang and Jaune: hissed "Ruby!"

Ruby: "What?!"

Whitley: "Will it?" He smiles "... Carry on then."

Ruby. Yang and Jaune: "..."

Whitley: "Honesty is so refreshing, isn't it?"

They watched the rest of the first round. Mostly predictable-CMEN, SSSN, and ABRN dominated easily, though a few unlikely teams managed to make it through.

Port: Announcing via intercom "The next round will begin in thirty minutes!"

Jacques stands up amidst the applause and turns to the gathered group.

Jacques: "Well, since we have time and we're all gathered here, I-"

Nora slams her hammer down with a loud CRACK nearby Jaune.

Nora: "Sorry Mister Schnee I'mma let you finish but Jaune-Jaune has an announcement too!"

Jaune shrugs apologetically at the annoyed looking Jacques.

Jaune: "Sorry sir. I'll make it quick."

Jacques: "Hmph..."

Willow eyes him with interest, as do the other guests. Jaune goes up to Yang, standing nearby. He takes her hands.

Jaune: "Hey... Yang. Listen, this is coming a bit sooner than I planned for but, well... You see, I noticed a problem with your last name. I don't like it."

Yang: "Oh really? You don't?"

Jaune: "Yeah..." He knelt down and held up a ring box. He opens it. "I think Yang Arc sounds a lot better. So... Uh... Will you marry me?"

Silence falls. Isabel and Lilac let out squeals. Yang tears up... And tackle hug and kisses him.

Yang: "MMMMM~! Yes, YES!"

Jaune: "Heh... Heheheheh... HAHAHAHA! WOO!"

Nick: "YEAH! GO SON! WOOOOOO!"

The rest of the Arc Clan and friends all cheer. Nora, Ren, Ozpin all applaud. Weiss looks sad, but forces a smile. Willow and Athena look wistful, while Pyrrha is hurt. Jacques looks very annoyed, but hides it as best he can. Ironwood smiles softly. Blake is curious, as Ghira and Kali both try to comfort her.

Jaune's Brain: Okay... Okay... Stage 2... Here goes...

Jaune: "But..."

Everyone stares. Jaune holds Yang's hands tightly.

Jaune: "The truth is... I love another woman too. Very deeply."

Yang: smirk, then an exaggerated gasp "Really? I had no idea! Who else?"

Jaune: "Why... Weiss, of course!"

Jacques and Weiss: "What?!"

Willow: "What?!"

Henry: "Mmm, love this escargot-What?!"

Jaune kneels in front of Weiss and holds out another ring box.

Jaune: "The truth is Weiss, you're a stuck up, overbearing pain in the ass... But a brave, beautiful, smart and kind one. You're an amazing woman and I can't exactly leave you out in the cold. So... With Yang's permission..."

Yang: smiles, sighs and shrugs "Oh go ahead."

Jaune: "Would you also marry me? I promise you're not second in my heart, just... You know, Yang called dibs."

Weiss: "Well... Let me think about it." She shoves Henry aside and leaps into Jaune's arms "YES!"

Jacques: "Wh-Wh-WHAT?!"

Nora: gasp "ANOTHER SHOCKING TWIST!"

Pyrrha, Ruby, and Blake all brighten up immensely.

Isabel: "JAUNE!"

Nick: "YES! TWO WEDDINGS! TWICE THE BOOZE!"

Isabel: "NIIIIIICK!"

Ozpin hides his smile.

WIllow: "..." Smirks and looks over at Nick and Isabel speculatively

Jaune's Brain: Fuck it... I am a harem protagonist. May as well use it.... Even though it will probably mean my death.
