But really, this quote is perfect for Jaune as a villain, and it beautifully plays against the "Bloody Evolution" theme Remnant has, where instead he imprisons people in an utopic realm of Peaceful Stagnation.

It's basically just like he did with the Paper Pleasers. Jaune as a Beast, would be akin to a [Beast of Salvation] a la Madoka Kaname/Kriemhild Gretchen.

The death change is ok. Though I will give my explanation for why I put change originally.

It's because he's trying to be helpful but is actually being harmful. He's stopping death but also birth, aging, changing as a person, personal growth.

Like a hug that's slowly smothering you.

Yes I know; it is basically the Paper Pleasers situation dialed up to eleven. It's basically Jaune doing to Remnant what Isabel did to him as a kid.


.......It really all goes back full circle. Inevitably, just like Jaune defied his mother, people will eventually choose freedom over safety; even if it means they live a life full of suffering.

His time as a king in the past, seeing how the people rebelled due to the Brother's machinations. Seeing how people died, fought, killed, suffered, fought, died, rinse and repeat until the Brother's nuked First Humanity into oblivion has left Jaune a deeply scarred cynical wreck.

Unfortunately, it is impossible for Jaune to become indifferent to other's sufferings; it is literally antithetical to his very being. So instead, it only makes Vortigen more determined, more obssessed to protect. Think Ironwood, but if he had both Ozma's AND Salem's powers on top of Hazel's overwhelming presence and power PLUS Cinder unrelenting and indefatigably persistent ambitiousness.


.....and onto that pile of psychological issues you add the fact that Aura Amp/Soul Infinity has drawn out the full totality of both his [Soul] (he has 1st Humanity's Magic, and can harness and manifest his Soul's Light/Silver Eyes and Darkness/Black Blood) and his [Body] (his body has evolved on par with his [Soul] due to Soul-Mind-Body relation, so if Jaune has Faunus ancestry, he is also now a Faunus of a type most compatible with his personality; a Pendragon in this case (Since both Arthur's and Jeanne's legends are connected to dragons)).


...and because the [Mind] is a plaything of the [Body], his thought processes have changed. Since he is now an existence that transcended humanity, he has retained his compassion but the way he now understands and feels things is slightly alien to human logic, but far more humane than the Brother Gods', since he himself once used to be human and still remembers slightly how it felt to be one.

So you now have a severely traumatized transcendental being whose sense of logic has been twisted to the point of being alien to human thought, but whose deepest, utmost desire is to save people and protect them. This being liberates you from the Brother Gods' callous Tyranny, but now instead Humans/Faunus are now on HIS smothering but well-meaning grip instead.

It is an enemy that desires to save, the final test for Humanity; whether they choose to finally lay and rest in a now peaceful, stagnant world; or to keep fighting for an uncertain tomorrow.

It was the best birthday Jaune could ever remember experiencing. When he and Yang returned the next morning, holding hands, cuddling and kissing, he didn't think his good mood would ever vanish.

Taiyang: "Good morning Yang!" Maniacal smile, dark tone "Good morning, Jaune."

Qrow: "You mean what brings us here." He looms behind Jaune ominously

Taiyang: "We need to have a little chat with your boyfriend here. Won't be long!"

Yang: "Dad, I love him-!"

Qrow: "So we're just gonna have a little chat with him about it!"

Jaune: "It's okay Yang... I've got seven sisters." he smiles "I love you too."

Yang: blush "G-Geez... You gotta be that sincere?"

Jaune: "Yeah. And you're cute when you blush."

Taiyang and Qrow's ire seems to grow. But Jaune smiles and shrugs.

Yang: "... Hurt him and I'll beat both your asses!"

Taiyang: "Yeah yeah..."

The two older men lead Jaune away towards Ozpin's office.

Jaune's Brain: So... Stay cool, stay cool... They have every right to give me the business..."

They enter the elevator, and the doors slide shut.

Qrow: "... You two had sex, didn't you?"

Jaune's Brain: Okay... Um... Coming right out with it... Uh, I need to say something...

Jaune: "Yes."

Jaune's Brain: Craaaaaapppp!

Taiyang: "Qrow, come on. He was honest about it, they're legal, and he's helping us save the world."

Qrow: scowls "Why are you playing good cop? You said you wanted to be bad cop!"

Taiyang: groans "Damnit! I'm so used to being the good cop it just popped out of there!" He scowled and grabbed Jaune's armor "Listen Jaune. From everything I know, you're a good kid."

Jaune: "Yes sir, but she's your daughter and you love her."

Taiyang: "Yes!"

Jaune: "So do I. With all my heart."

Taiyang: "Good! And if you ever break her heart I'll punt you into space! That clear?!"

Jaune: "Yes sir!"

Qrow: "And that's not even getting into what I'll do to you, Kid." grins, holds up a knife

Jaune: gulps "Yes sir..."

Taiyang: "... Why is he the one you're more intimidated by?!"

Jaune: "I'm intimidated by you both, sir?"

Qrow: "Heh! I still got it! Also Kid: We're gonna be doing some training together, you and me! You're still struggling and frankly, you need a trainer who won't go easy on ya!"

Jaune: gulps "... Yes sir?"

Taiyang: "Damnit Qrow! We promised we'd do these things together!"

Qrow: "Oh now it's a we?"

A few prompts and ideas:

-During a fight with Yang in combat class, Jaune is able to pull off a win with an... Unorthodox strategy: He kisses Yang. She's so shocked he gets a ring out on her. Yang is naturally very angry... So Jaune comes up with a rather stupid idea: He claims he had a crush on her but didn't think he was good enough for her, so he put all his energy into pursuing Weiss because it would hurt less to get rejected by her! He thinks Yang will just reject his feelings and they can work this out!

Only... She doesn't reject his feelings. Hoo boy.

-The Huntsman runs into Cardin, who is a MASSIVE fanboy of his superheroic persona. It's getting a little annoying, especially with how he keeps trying to "help".

-Roman infiltrates Beacon as Cinder's teacher. And now he's living a double life. Shenanigans ensue.

-Isabel Arc continues her therapy sessions! Some of her clients:

Everyone wonders what Cinders problem is with Mr.Diz Gaiz. The current running theory is she gave him a love confession and he turned her down.

A mutual agreement between Mercury and Emerald is to make sure she does not find out about these rumors because they don't want to die a fiery painful death along with everyone else in beacon.

Naturally Neo is doing everything in her power to spread more and more rumors.

Idea:
Taiyang and Qrow want to talk to Jaune about his relationship with Yang, but it's not exactly going to be a typical twerp sweating speech.
See, Yang has had a pretty decent string of very crappy, dumbass (and one or two downright horrible) boyfriends and/or girlfriends, and both Taiyang and Qrow are very happy that Yang is finally dating someone who's so nice, reliable, smart, wholesome, and capable as Jaune, and they want want to have grandkids/nephews/nieces before they're too old and they want them to grow up in a decent home (they don't know that Jaune's family is, somewhat secretly, incredibly loaded).

What about other main characters family members?
Such as:
Captain Amelia, aunt of Blake, who's a cat faunus who's a captain of her own ship.
Balalaika, Yang and Ruby's aunt, leader of a branch of a global mob/crime syndicate, and part of the reason why Raven wanted to marry into the family.


Other ideas:

- Someone punches Yang in her boob, only to end up spraining their wrist because Yang is just that tough, and they discribe it as wet sand in a balloon without aura (reference to Final Fantasy VII: Machinabridged).
Yang, somewhat proudly, states that they are only soft and bouncy when she gets romanced (aka, turned on or with someone she's in love with).

- Jaune has a somewhat strange family curse that effects the male Arc's, he's extremely accident prone and ends up in "compromising positions" due to it (doesn't mean he's clumbsy, but weird accidents happen that in some way end up involving him).
One example is where he gets in an argument/fight with a bully, who throws/punches Jaune away, and he ends up face first right into the cleavage of Yang.
His female friends have noticed it isn't his fault and are understanding about it, but they have noticed that there's a proportionally higher chance that Jaune will end up in contact with "shapes of larger proportions" compaired to smaller ones.
(yes it's Jaune with a harem comedy protagonist accident curse, and the same could have happened with Nick when he was young, and may still happen with Isabel)
Could also be combined with the above idea, where Jaune notices that every time he ends up in contact with Yang's chest, they're incredibly, exceptionally soft.

You know, a fun but stupid idea I had courtesy of @RedReaper 's excellent work with Whiter Rose and Dragonslayer...
Taiyang and Qrow are... Ridiculously deep in debt. Taiyang was really destructive with his powerful Semblance on many missions, and he's been very depressed and so on. And Qrow walked into a casino once and... Well yeah. That's all she wrote.

Yang and Ruby certainly haven't helped with their antics, either.

So they're desperate to get Yang and Ruby hitched to rich young men. Or a single rich young man.

Enter Whitley Schnee, and Jaune Arc. Whitley naturally is the richest young man on Remnant. Jaune's not as rich as Whitley, but he's still old money and has a very big family behind him!

They are the answer to Taiyang and Qrow's prayers! So they WILL get them married! However they can!
