So reworking a idea I had but never got to use before.

Ozpins soul doesn't play nice with its hosts usually.

It chews them up and takes everything it can before moving on to the next body on death.

The only thing it can't seem to take is their Semblances.

Well one of Ozma's former host had one hell of a semblance. One that healed and empowered him the longer he was in combat. Perfect for the battle mad berserker oz was glued to.

Ozpin really wished he got to keep that power but when he felt his soul detach from the dying body he forgot about it.

The thing is that was a dying body. Not a dead one.

And when a Grimm got just a bit too close to the half dead body missing a good 90% of it's soul? It got pulped and it's death sparked the semblance back up.

Less than a man but more than a corpse it's stuck in a constant state of its body and soul trying to wither away while it keeps them alive with violence.

If it ever wants to be a full person again it's gonna need one hell of a fight.

Maybe one like the Grimm bitch has planned for his old roommate up at his fancy school?

That could be fun.

A fun idea I had: Since I do have the childhood friend series, let's take this a bit more seriously and in a slightly different way:

What if all of RWBY and JNPR were childhood friends, but they all forgot about it because they were little? And the point of the story is unravelling the mystery behind how all their parents met, and why they fell apart.



Jaune: "... Huh! I can see how this is pretty effective, actually. Especially with how commanding you are, Pyr! Very nice!"

Pyrrha: blush "O-Oh... Oh, my, you think so?"

Jaune: "Yeah! Yang and Ruby were pretty good too in their dog costumes."

Pyrrha: "WHAT?! Those-THOSE BITCHES! I'll tear them apart and-"

She looks back. Jaune is running for his life.

Pyrrha: "JAUNE! GET BACK HERE!"

Jaune: "NOPE! ALL YOU LADIES ARE CRAZY SO I'M GONNA HIDE UNTIL YOU'RE BACK TO NORMAL!"

If were going by the fairy tale inspirations then Yang would be a bear, or possibly somekind of bear cerberus (cause it's Goldilocks and the 3 bears), Ruby would be a wolf instead of a dog, Pyrrha maybe a horse (as in the trojan horse).

This sounds awesome as all hell, almost literally, as it sounds somewhat like the Doom Slayer from newer instalments of the Doom franchise.
From some points of views Ozma can be considered a parasite (sure he can't really help it, but most parasites in nature can't change how they're born either), which this idea really dissects, so it feels really on theme.
And could Jaune, who's Semblance amplifies the Aura of himself and others (aka strengthens the soul), be able to somewhat help him out?
Even if Jaune isn't able to really fix them, he migh be able to boost their Semblance enough that they will need a lot smaller and less tough fight to make them a pull person again.

On a different topic but semi-related question; Could Ozma's hosts be female, or do all of them have to be male and have a name that starts with the letter O?
