Ruby tries to swing a sword and she just falls flat on her face.

With her Crescent Rose? She's a prodigy. With any other weapon? She's so incompetent that even Jaune in his first year would be able to defeat her.

This would honestly make for a good crack fic.
and AndrewJTalon has already called dibs.

but the reason i'm bring this up, is because of a fancomic i saw once that this remined me of.
and if i have to suffer remembering it then so do all of you.

the one who has jaune in a headlock is his sister.

Hold on hold on.

I knew Jaune had allusions to the moon as part of his symbol and as part of his Character with the Alchemical philosophy that moon is a source of healing.

Don't tell me that the creators were actually smart enough to catch those allusions and implement them as a joke!

It's like the show runners know who is behaving more main character like and yet sunken cost fallacy makes them only be able to make Jokes about it.

I haven't watched RvB, you think I should look into it?
first 'seasons' are clips of Halo characters with weird disjointed plot/jokes that lead into an amazing story up til season 15
most of it is on youtube if your willing to invest the massive amount of time and bad mic quality for the first 5 seasons

so @Titanmaster_117 had this idea over on SB;
Ok so here's the thing that many people over the years have forgotten but that Chinese game with RWBY got it right is that Crescent Rose isn't a Sniper-Scythe

It's a Sword-Sniper-Scythe. Yes, it's triple S ranks of cool.

You know that form where Ruby folds Crescent Rose? Yeah, she uses it as a sword by extending the handle. She used it in Red trailer and against Roman fight.
I may not remember all the moments of her using CR as a sword on top of my head but yes, there is a reason why the RWBY fandom so heavily thought that Ruby was Qrow's daughter because they both have the same basic design of <Sword + Scythe + Gun>.

Ohhh, this gives me an Idea.

Qrow is Ruby's dad. Not in the sense he had her with Summer. But in the sense he is sleeping with Taiyang "Whole team" Xiao Long.

Reason why Ruby and Yang are so not bothered by incest? Cause they know that their dad is the team bicycle and have often heard their night time proclivities.

Also sometimes Qrow takes Ruby out to fun places and tries to pick up chicks by acting as a single father. Ruby somehow both improves and degrades chances by mentioning he is sleeping with her Dad.

Judging on the girl, it's either an instant no or an instant yes. Qrow likes it because it basically fast tracks the process.

Visitors asking for Lie Ren were few and far between. The destruction of his village and their relatively remote location had ensured anyone who might be interested in him was either lying or mistaken.

Or had long memories of children who robbed them to survive.

So when Jaune called him on his Scroll and asked him to come from training to their dormroom for a visitor, Ren did not even ask Jaune for details. He was confident it would be nothing of importance. Someone to set straight and then send on their way.

By force if necessary. Nora was looking forward to that part.

However, when they opened the dormroom, they were greeted by Jaune, Pyrrha... And a graceful looking young woman in a red cheongsam. Her long black hair was done up in a tight bun, held by a pair of red steel needles. Her face was beautiful, pale, with light makeup. Her eyes were Jade green and she had a small, hopeful smile on her strangely familiar face.

"She's a famous singer," Pyrrha explained, "We have the same agent, and she asked for this meeting. Um, I've never met her in person, but it's quite an honor! I'm a big fan, and when she asked to meet you, um..."

The girl in red stared in a mixture of trepidation and hope. Her voice came out as a desperate whisper.

"Ren? Nora?"

Ren's jaw dropped. Next to him, Nora dropped her hammer in shock.

"... Yin?" Ren gasped.

Yin laughed and leaped up. She hugged Ren and Nora tightly.

"It is you! It is you!" She cried, fat tears spilling down her cheeks.

Ren hugged her back, as Nora sobbed in joy.

"YINNY!" Nora cried.

- - -

It took some time for them all to calm down. Yin sat down between Nora and Ren, holding their hands tightly. Ren allowed himself a small smile, while Nora just gushed on and on.

"... We didn't think we would see you again... You're so RED... Your village...!"

"Who is she, guys?" Jaune asked, happy for his friends but very confused.

"This is Shi Yin-Yue. She was a friend from a village near ours," Ren said. "We thought you were dead too. When we investigated your village, it was burned to the ground and full of Grimm!"

"My father got me out to the river. He put me on a boat, but died fending off the Grimm so I could escape," Yin said quietly. "He put all our money and papers into the boat with me. I got lost paddling in the dark and ended up at Shangri-la days later! I was taken in by a musician who went out to search for survivors but..."

She sniffled.

"They found no one... I-I thought you were dead for so long...!"

"So did we," Ren agreed softly. Nora grinned and hugged her.

"Oh its so wonderful to see you again!"

"I'm so glad," Yin laughed, "Now..." She took Ren's hand with a smile, "We can fulfill our families desires!"

Ren blinked.

"In what way?"

Yin beamed. She pulled out a weatherbeaten scroll from her handbag, and unfurled it.

"My father and yours wanted to strengthen the bonds between our villages," She said, "So they created a marriage contract between us. See? Here are their signatures!"

Ren felt his insides go into a tumble. He recognized his father's signature even after all these years.

"I..."

"Marriage?!" Nora blurted out in shock. Yin beamed and hugged her.

"Oh.... I am so glad, Nora! Now we will be a real family! You my sister in law, and Ren my husband!"

She sobbed in joy as Ren and Nora looked uneasily at eachother, then at the flabberghasted Jaune and Pyrrha.

"This is the happiest day of my life!"

- - -

Since it is a practice in Chinese cultures, why not have Ren face an interesting complication from his past?

Shi Yin Yue is named for Shi Pei-Pu, a Chinese opera singers, crossdresser and spy who posed as a woman for twenty years. Yin Yue is a rough pinyin take on the Mandarin word for "music". This is to keep with the theme of JNPR.

Would Yin be legitimate? Is she a spy for Cinder or someone else nefarious? All things to explore in this idea.

Urgh, I was busy with work at the time so I didn't check out Zenless Zone Zero. If I had, a few months later... I would have found the perfect character to base Shi Yin Yue on:

View: https://youtu.be/Tmd0cDFN-I4

Indeed, she's practically the character as I envisioned her! How could I have missed her?

And since Zenless Zone Zero is basically RWBY but not by morons... Well! This idea might have new life. What do you think?

Watts: "what about you? Listen up, boy. Watts: . . . Ozpin, you-!

Ozpin: No. You've had your say. But do you want to know the truly amusing part of all this? I have near infinite chances to correct my mistakes. You're not going to outlive Cinder.

Watts: Oh, really?! And what about my digital backup?!

Ozpin: The one locked forever in a prison in another universe? . . . Speaking of which, that gives me an idea about Salem.

-RWBY loses to JNPR in a training fight, and Ruby has to deal with the fallout and her failures as a leader.
Soooo basically a bad day for Ruby?

Now the idea that she pretty much has a futon to crash in JNPR's dorm is coming to me. And that she spends more time with them then with her actual team due to how frustrating they can be.

And don't deny that Yang, Blake, and Weiss wouldn't be frustrating to deal with. Especially early on.

Here's a fun idea: What would the Beacon simulator version of the Kobyashi Maru be like? That is, a scenario that is deliberately set up to be unwinnable as a test of character?
Massive invasion of Grimm in a undefendable location that ramps up the longer you defend it. Going from Beowolves to larger, more dangerous Grimm such as the Grimm Dragon for example.

Although I can also see it possibly including Salem as well showing up to deal with a problem.

Pretty much just Mt. Glenn I would say. You only have a set amount of time and you can only save a certain amount of people and resources so you have to choose. Like the Kobyashi Maru though certain people keeping breaking the sim. Nora just smashes everything not being subtle at all and ends up saving the entire city. Jaune manages to save everyone and somehow result in a more peaceful world with a future possibility of recapturing Mt. Glenn.

Nora being a demo expert destroying the city just the right way for maximum grimm kills and civilian protection in colorful light shows that put most fireworks to shame
and Jaune just winning, to the complete confusing of everyone including himself

An defense/evacuation of the students home village, where they have to choose between sacrificing their friends and family, or teamates.

Salem's assault on Atlas. Hear me out, basically take a scenario where a kingdom, any kingdom, is facing a full-scale Grimm invasion. The PC must balance allocating resources to support their troops and the civilian population while creating strategies that utilize both to maintain a proper defense and keep the Grimm at bay. All the while setting aside enough resources for research and development to make the later assaults more manageable. The whole scenario is never-ending with each wave lasting longer than the last with new and more powerful Grimm being added as time goes on. The goal, on the surface at least, is to survive for as long as possible, however, much like in the MHA exam points are awarded in secret for how you played the game. Did you sacrifice your people piece-meal to keep the offensive going on for as long as possible, or did you recognize that there was no winning and the best chance for survival was to save as many people as you could and then sacrifice the city itself to take out as many Grimm as possible and help buy you time to get away?

P.S. In "The Choices We Make" they did a scenario just like this with Jaune running through it while he was in Atlas.

Some fun ideas:

- Pyrrha has an uncle who shares the trait of suffering from their success, Ciaphas Cain, hero of Mistral.
While everyone sees him as a hero, in actuality he just tries to find some safe position where he can enjoy a quiet spot and be ignored, but when trying to put himself somewere out of harm's way only to inadvertently wind up in an even bigger mess than the one he was trying to avoid, gaining an incredible reputation that he feels is totally undeserved.
Salem absolutely hates him, because he constantly stumbles across and foils her plans without him by sheer coincidence.
Not sure if it's funnier if his Sembance is something that gives him a weird mix of good and terrible luck (maybe called something like Right Man in the Wrong Place), or if his luck doesn't have anything to do with his Semblance at all.
He's probably great drinking buddies with Qrow.

- Jaune is from a social darwinist culture, but also one where kindness is viewed as a sign of intelligence and mercy is the privillege of the strong.
So when he meets Raven, he will almost immediately call her dumb and weak, and the fact that she has to use fear to control those under her just proves that fact.
If Raven says that her actions are necessary to survive, Jaune would tell her that just proves his point as she's too stupid and weak to survive and lead any other way (basically her own phylosophy thrown back in her face and called her lacking and pathetic).

- Yang works out in her sleep.

i laughed way too hard on this. just think how Juane and Rin.would be react to Jurgen.
Ferik Jurgen is Cain's personal aide and driver to whom the speed limit and trafic rules are mere suggestions, his body odor and grime are outright legendary, openly reads pornography, and insanely good with his personal Meltagun (a short-ranged firebeam anti-armour weapon).
His smell, grime and anti-social demeanor are a side effect of being a Blank who nullifies all psychic power, warp phenomena, psykers and warp creatures within his vicinity (the null-field also supresses the connection to a person's soul to some extent, which makes it quite uncomfortable).
The Null-field is relatively short-ranged around him, but it's pretty damn usefull against pretty much every kind of enemy of humanity, and saves Ciaphas Cain at least once per book.

Jurgens Semblance would be called Null, and it cancels out all Semblances and magic within a radus from him, including a Grimm's connection to Salem.

Blake Attempts to Bond New
Blake didn't really change much during the show, we're just told she changed. So how about she tries to change her anti-social ways one step at a time? And it... Well... It goes... Sort of well?

Jaune was cleaning up the common room. He sweeps up some trash, then dumps it... Then looks up. Blake is standing right there in front of him.

Jaune: "Gah! Oh! Uh, h-hi Blake!"

Blake: "Hello Jaune."

Jaune: "Um... Do you need something?"

Blake: "I am... Trying to be more social. I realize that... I don't actually know much about you. So I was wondering if we could do a social activity together?"

Jaune: "... Well, um, sure Blake. What would you like to do?"

Blake: "Well... I want to do something with you that would make you happy."

Jaune: "But I want you to be happy too. It doesn't make much sense for us to do something you would hate, would it?"

Blake: "True... But I am willing to try new things."

Jaune: "All right... Um... You read a lot of Mistralian manga, right? Do you like their anime?"

Blake: "I like some of them, though I haven't been able to watch a lot since... Um..."

Jaune: "You were with the White Fang? I get it. Well, how about we watch a few and we see what you think of them?"

Blake: nods "That would be... Acceptable."

Jaune: "Great!"

So they sat down and watched some. Mostly just the first episodes of a few series. After, Jaune turns to Blake and smiles.

Jaune: "So... Any thoughts?"

Blake: "Hmm... Snowy the Elf: New Journey was beautiful. But why are demons considered unredeemable?"

Jaune: "I think the idea was what if Grimm could think and talk? There's a lot of folklore of Grimm who got that smart and took on humanoid form, so they drew from that. I don't think it has anything to do with, ya know, Faunus."

Blake: "I... I guess not. There are other races of beings in the show. Just because the demons have horns doesn't mean they're Faunus stand ins."

Jaune: "Yeah. What about the others?"

Blake: "Loser Ranger is... A strange anime. Why would you watch what is essentially a deconstruction of a genre you love?"

Jaune: "Sometimes you want to watch a deconstruction and see people do something new. It helps that it's really well written. Like, a show isn't good or bad just because it's a deconstruction, it's all about what you do! And it's interesting, this idea that heroes aren't heroes underneath their shiny exterior. But that doesn't mean that all heroes are secretly monsters, either. Or the other way around."

Blake: nods "Mm. This is true... As for Shield Sage? It is interesting that the protagonist is so mistrustful he doesn't just get the usual isekai harem... But he still attracts a lot of attention. And his companion being enslaved by her own free will is... Hrn..."

Jaune: "Oh yeah. I mean... The slavery bits are weird. I guess I don't mind a show exploring a world of different values, but sometimes I wonder if it's a fetish... I-I mean, if it's a fetish as long as it's done consensually it's all good! And-and not in front of kids or-stuff like that... I dunno, maybe I'm overthinking this."

Blake: "I spent so much time dissecting and analyzing human media and pop culture for racist messages..." sighs "I... I mean, the slavery is strange, yes. Maybe it's a fetish... But watching it with you? Seeing all this for myself? I... I can see that there is more than one way to see things. It doesn't always have to be just one. Sometimes you can just enjoy it on its own merits."

Jaune: smiles "Yeah!"

Blake: "... I do have an anime I was hoping to watch. Would you like to watch it with me?"

Jaune: "Sure!"

Ten minutes later...

Jaune: "Uhhh... Blake? This... This is porn."

Blake: "No, it's hentai. Erotica."

Jaune: "That means the same thing!"

Blake: "Not literally. And besides, look at the art style!"

Jaune: "I mean that's great! It's really detailed but it is absolutely porn!"

Blake: "Erotica! And we're supposed to be sharing things we both enjoy!"

Jaune: "I uh, well..."

Blake: "Are you enjoying this?"

Jaune: "That's... Such a loaded question but my main point is-"

Nora: slams the door open "WE'RE HOME I-Oh hey! Jaune and Blake are watching porn! NEATO!"

Pyrrha: "P-Porn?!"

Ren: blinks "What."

Blake and Jaune: "IT'S EROTICA!"

Blake Attempts to Bond 2 New
Oh oh oh! Wait! Wait! Even funnier idea! Blake shows them a White Fang propaganda movie that is basically total nonsense.

It's basically the White Fang equivalent of "Birth of a Nation" or "Triumph of the Will" or any number of Soviet or CCP propaganda movies that make up shit and go so over the top to make humans look like pure evil that it becomes absolute comedy gold.

Weiss: "... Blake, this movie is terrible."

Blake: "It is not! It was made by the White Fang at great expense-!"

Ruby: "It literally says that the Faunus were all united since Ancient Vacuo and never had any wars ever."

Blake: "Yes? And?"

Ren: "With the exception of the Vacuoan Crocodile, Falcon and Feline Dynasty Wars, the Mistralian Lion Conquest, the Solitas Seal and Orca Wars, the Shark and Dolphin Faunus Wars, the Menagerian Civil Wars..."

Blake: "I-I mean, those may have happened but for the most part we were all united and didn't enslave humans-!"

Yang: "HA! Yeah, because that totally didn't happen!"

Blake: "It-It did not-!"

Pyrrha: "Um, there were many instances of the Lion Queen of Mistral taking huge numbers of human slaves to sell to other Faunus and human kingdoms, Blake. Sorry."

Blake: "W-Well, um-"

Jaune: "Also, is that you? How old were you?"

Blake: "I-I was thirteen!"

Blake at thirteen is trying to look sexy in an oversized dress, while a goat faunus man kneels before her dressed in black with badly dyed red hair.

"Adam: "My princess, one day you will be queen and all humanity will recognize our greatness."

Blake: "Oh Adam~! You'll be my consort!"

Much staring.

Blake: blush "... Adam was too busy to star in this part of the film s-so I had a stand in."

Yang: deadpan "Amazing likeness. Is he supposed to be fifty years older than Adam?"

Blake: "HE WAS A GREAT CHARACTER ACTOR!"

Weiss: "Yeah, when holofilms were in black and white!"

Oh oh oh! Wait! Wait! Even funnier idea! Blake shows them a White Fang propaganda movie that is basically total nonsense.
I'm gonna have to borrow this for a snippet tomorrow. With Jaune, Yang, and Pyrrha just leaving to binge something mindless after being forced by Blake 'getting' A professor to show such a film.

Odds are that they put on a hentai by accident are decent.
