  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

I first noticed the problem a few weeks ago, maybe as much as a month ago. There is a very noticeable yet inconsistent delay between key inputs and the character appearing or the cursor moving. Interface elements such as the pop-up prompts for URLs and such also stutter and lag upon opening.

The problem has persisted through multiple reboots and is consistently bad over time, and is exclusive to QQ's reply input box.

I use Chrome, on Windows 7.

I can't comment on this immediately, because I don't use the rich-text editor, and also browser performance is a miserable hellpit of endless quagmires and is affected by everything.

One possible thing to try: run from a new browser profile and see if that helps. If it fixes the problem, that means it's something in your browser settings somewhere.

I turned off Hardware Acceleration, and that seems to have fixed the typing(and highlighting) lag, but scrolling in the input box is still exactly as laggy as before, if that helps.

I noticed this when writing answers on my phone - it lags extremely.
No problem though on my PC.
Maybe the reply window is just very script heavy?

Not sure about lag, but Firefox on mobile absolutely hates the editor. Stuff like pressing enter makes two new lines, but randomly moves some text in between them, etc.
Also can't do Ctrl-v to paste in Firefox on desktop.
