  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

It's in reference to a recent video released by BBC Food, wherein the "chef" "teaches" people to make "egg fried rice". Notice the air-quotes. The monstrous person had no idea how to actually prepare rice, and the asian community has made their opinions abundantly clear through various reaction videos and such. Like this one:

The comic is also in reference to the travesty.

This is another case of pineapple-on-pizza, isn't it? Manufactured internet outrage from meaningless cultural food differences.

Meaningless? There are precisely two ways to cook rice; one involves using a rice cooker, the other involves a saucepan and a specific amount of water (so as not to make it a soggy, mushy waste of good grain). Neither involve using a colander to wash the rice AFTER it's been half cooked in three times as much water as necessary, for half the time you should have cooked it, at the wrong temperature. The look on her face when she tasted it was telling. Even she thought it was awful, but she obviously couldn't say it on camera.

Edit: Also, this is delicious:

It'd be laughing about others that do it, problem is that calculating the area of anything that advanced would require you go to uni on a specialist course, unless the American system is even more fucked up than I thought.
Volume would be a bitch, but surface area should be well within the ability of a high-schooler: It's just the sum of a bunch of basic polygons.
