Each of the five basic crafts (The ones named after the five elements) don't actually work with their elements, directly anyway. They're each different groups of things, and ways, you can make, said things. I don't really keep track of what crafting is for what stuff, but I'm pretty sure Fire is Metalworking for example.
Air is paintings, jewelry, calligraphy, glassblowing, and other delicate works. Clockwork falls here.Water is for cooking, pharmacology and chemistry are also probably covered.
Wood is for things from living creatures, such as wood carving, and weaving
Earth is for gem cutting, and stone carving, masonry, generally used for 'big' projects
Air is for stuff involving delicate work, I think painting is under this (but don't quote me.)
Fire is for smithing and metalwork. 'Maybe' glasswork.
Distilling Orichalcum from gold is a Thaumaturgical ritual, meaning that the roll is Attribute + Occult + Degree Known, and not, despite the Craft (Fire) 4 requirement, a Crafting roll. Note the text of Revlid's Craftsman Needs No Tools:SMELTING PROCEDURES
The processes that smelt moonsilver, orichalcum, starmetal and soulsteel from their source materials are all Adept-level thaumaturgical rituals in the Art of Alchemy. In each case, the necessary foundry is a Resources 4 purchase (the reusable components for the ritual), while operating it long enough to produce a pound of the desired metal is a Resources 3 expense (the consumed material for the ritual)—not including the raw materials themselves. Characters may learn these rituals as Procedures. In each case, the Willpower expenditure represents the intense concentration needed to see the procedure through to a successful conclusion. To use these rituals, a character needs Craft (Fire) at 4.
Stabilize Moonsilver (2, Perception, 3, one hour): Raw moonsilver must be collected at night under the light of the moon. The raw moonsilver is still unstable with residual Wyld-energy. Through coaxing songs and careful taps and strokes with crystal hammers and probes, the artisan quiets the Wyldness remaining in the raw moonsilver so it becomes a stable metal. Pacify it too much and it freezes into silver; hit it too hard, and it shatters into drops of quicksilver.
Distill Orichalcum (2, Stamina, 3, one week): Purifying gold into orichalcum can only be done at a source of molten lava. It also requires large, high-precision mirrors to concentrate sunlight on the molten gold. Boiling the gold continuously for a week, using magma and sunfi re, to drive out impurities, is not intellectually challenging… but the prolonged, constant attention to direct the mirrors and keep the lava from contaminating the gold is remarkably fatiguing.
Smelt Starmetal (2, Wits, 3, one day): Pulling starmetal from its ore should be easy. It uses the same smelter and tools used to extract mundane iron—but everything must be consecrated and purifi ed: the clay and charcoal of the furnace, the tree from which the charcoal was made, the spade that was used to dig the clay… The small gods of the forge know the smith works on the remains of their kin, and will spoil the process if not suitably appeased. And then, the smelter engages in a frantic battle of wits to keep the furnace going and the forge uncontaminated as everything that could go wrong, does, driving the smith to his limits through sheer frazzlement.
Alloy Soulsteel (2, Manipulation, 3, one day): Hammering souls into the sooty ore from the Labyrinth involves more than strength. It is an exercise in cruelty and domination, breaking the will of the captive ghosts so they would rather accept an eternity trapped in black metal than the continued blows of the hammer, the scorching of bonefi re and the bitter quenching in bile.
CNNT can not be used to ease the process of distilling orichalcum, nor should it be; creating the stuff should be difficult, as it is a sacred ritual of craftwork and a tribute to the Unconquered Sun, and should not be cheapened by using a space heater and a two-dollar mirror. He can still use CNNT to make the components for the ritual, mind, but you can't take away the volcano or sunlight. Even then, I'd argue that Issei'd need the charm that lets your Anima Banner shed True Sunlight, as Sol =/= the Unconquered Sun.CRAFTSMAN NEEDS NO TOOLS

The Chosen bring harmony to Creation through their works. This Charm supplements a Craft action, removing any need for tools or workshops. The Solar can paint without a paintbrush, fry without a pan, forge without a hammer, and create artifacts without a workshop. How he accomplishes this is up to his player; some Solars heat metal with the light of the sun and beat it into shape with their bare hands, while others use improvised tools that seem, at the instant of use, to become perfectly usable, and still others chant the names of the tools they would ordinarily require while working the materials with their bare hands (this particular permutation is sometimes referred to as Words-as-Workshop Method). The Solar suffers no penalties for crafting in this fashion. However, he still requires sufficient and appropriate raw materials. The effects of this Charm last for one crafting interval, and fade once the Solar completes his work, postpones it, or finishes that particular interval.

More accurately, each enlightened martial art has specific weapons that you can use it with, but they're different weapons for each style. For example, Solar Hero Style allows use of a cestus, a fighting gauntlet, katars, tiger claws and improvised weapons. While Violet Bier of Sorrows Style (the standard Sidreal martial art) allows knives, swords, staves and seven-section staffs.nope, Martial Arts you can have a Speciality for armed combat, aka fighting with a Martial Arts weapon ala Boosted Gear or some other weapon your martial art allows or unarmed could also have armoured and unarmoured ^^ Exalted players have been finding the broadest specialty's they could since the game came out to get themselves the most dice possible for a reason /laugh

Really, I'd suggest just picking up a specialty in war gauntlets. It's not too general and it avoids applying to everything since it wouldn't have any effect when boosted gear is in stealth mode.Having "armed" or "unarmed" as a speciality is like having "fighting" as a specialty, or "everything" as a favoured enemy. it's silly. and it's deliberately trying to exploit the phrasing of the thing.
I'd also house rule in something against contradictory specialities.
If you specialize in fighting one-on-one, and you also specialize in fighting many enemies at once, that's not a fucking specialization anymore.

Depends on if Alexander allows us to use the specialty while BG is in stealth mode.that's stupid, if we want a more specific speciality, then getting one for Boosted Gear would be preferable, BECAUSE of stealth mode, we are NEVER going to use some other set of war gaunts after all, and if someone steals BG from us, well we are dead anyway so it's not like it matters
