So I just read Return of the Scarlet Empress, and I'm...interested whether it would someday be canon in this quest.
Of course, I know that some would not like it if it ever happen (especially the death of a certain shining guy or at least, him out of the picture)...thoughts?
(And of course, my mind, being the muse of silliness, immediately bombarded me with many things, involving Shipping, and the golden guy mentioned above somehow ending in here. Tis madness, my muse is)

I don't even know what exalted is really...only in the most general of sense.

I'd recommend against it. RotSE is called a "plot tumor" for a reason -- it's a bit hard to have stories about anything else when "OMG the Ebon Dragon is about to break loose!" The Yozis returning tends to swallow up everything else in its urgency.

Moving on. Can I have a tally? Due to recent reasons I have to cut short my computer time before night, so I will update this tomorrow. This Arc should be done in two-three posts, and then we can move on.

It depends on the quest. Some of them are full-on porno quests and others are "this is a normal quest that may or may not have sex in it sooner or later." Of the first category... well, a lot of people here really like tentacles.

I'm talking specifically about the breeder type, and monster queen genre quests. That's not the kinda stuff you introduce to someone.

    "And..done!" With a bright smile Tsurara puts the finishing touch on the tea with snacks she prepared. However, as it happens every time she cooks the food is, because of her ice aura, chilled: the tea is cold and the sweets have a sheen of ice over them.

    Sadly she is incapable of realizing it.

    "I wonder if Rikuo-sama will praise me?" Humming happily she reaches the door to the room where Rikuo is and opens it. "Rikuo-sama! Would you like some snacks?"

    "Ah. Sorry Tsurara." Rikuo apologizes while sipping from a steaming cup of tea. "Eiko-san just offered us the same."

    Eyes wide in shock the Yuki-onna stares at the perfectly made tea and lavish arrangement of snacks accompanying it before moving to the black haired female that, on the other side of the table, is trying to feeding a reluctant Hyodo Issei.

    Their eyes meet, and Eiko smiles demurely.

    For Tsurara it's an insult at her very dignity as a woman. Gritting her teeth in a forced smile she moves her thumb from one side of her neck to the other. 'It's war!'

    Eiko's eyes shines with amusement.

    "Can I ask you a question Aotobou-san?"

    "Oh? Sure." The blue clad monk nods. "About what?"

    "The Supreme Commander, and Rikuo-kun's grandfather, is Nurarihyon?" You make a gesture as if asking for confirmation. "As, the Nurarihyon? The First? He who was considered on par with Japan's Three Greatest Youkai?"

    "The only and one." Grinning he raises his thumb up.

    "Wow. But, where is he?"

    He shrugs. "No idea."

    "What."

    "He comes and goes as he pleases, and none can catch him. That's Nurarihyon. He's probably doing something like a 'eat and run' tour of restaurants."

    Okay. Wow.

    Is this something to take pride of as a youkai?

    Deep in Shikoku Nurarihyon sneezes.

    ----

    "Oy, Kubinashi-sa-"

    "Yes. Kejoro has a boyfriend." He says rather forcefully. "They're happily in love. He's also the jealous sort: I hear he half beat to death any one who ever so much tries to flirt with Kejoro."

    "..." You shift your feet awkwardly. "...I just wanted to know where I can find a library."

    He blinks owlishly. "Oh. Leave the manor: left, right, right and straight for two hundred meters. They're specialized in the Meiji Era."

    "Thanks." You walk past a corner, and then lean backward so that only your head is visible. "Just say that she is taken was enough."

    "-! I do no-"

    "Confessed already?"

    That shut him up. Shaking your head in bemusement you walk away, thinking about what kind of book you can bring home as a gift.

    "So it's true that Kappa likes cucumbers above all else?"

    "Yup." Kappa tosses a cucumber in the air and catch the tip with his mouth. Which for some reason you can't see, but it must be there because how else is he supposed to eat?! "We also like music. I'm a fan of the Aerosmith."

    "Japanese music?"

    "Not my genre. Oh, but I have a cousin who is aiming to become a rapper. Wonder how he's doing...?"

    A rapping Kappa?!

    ----

    Said Kappa and Koneko sneeze.

    ----

    "Kurotabou-san!" You slam your hands on the table and lean forward, staring straight into the youkai's eyes. "You said the Bakeneko Clan manages part of the First District."

    He leans back as his knees allow him. "Yes?"

    "Bakeneko. As, Cat Youkai?"

    "That's correct."

    Your eyes shine. "And they have...female members?"

    Kurotabou starts sweating bullets. "...Yes?"

    Your eyes become like headlights in the night. "Please bring me there!"

    Kurotabou finds it difficult to refuse.

    "Wow!" You gape in amazement at the sight. "This is like a completely different world."

    "Welcome to the Japanese-style youkai eatery, Bakenekoya!" A cat-eared young man in a kimono greets you. And beside him... a cat-eared young girl! Cute to boot!

    'This is a dream coming true!'

    "Oh, if it isn't Kurotabou-sama!" The host recognizes your guide. "Aotabou-sama isn't with you today?"

    "No." He tips his hat up and gestures to you. "Today I am accompanying an esteemed guest of the Nura Clan. Please treat him."

    "But of course!" The cat youkai shows a charming smile. "Welcome to Bakenekoya sir! Is there something in particular you want to try?"

    "Everything!" You show a thumb-up. "I want to try everything you have! I want to enjoy this night to the fullest and never forget about it!"

    "With pleasure sir. Please follow me."

    ----

    The next morning we find a heavily disheveled Kurotabou sitting in front of Bakenekoya, dealing with the effect of a serious hangover. "Uurgh... Damn, what do they put into their catnip cocktail?"

    "Something very, very strong if you ask me." Coming out from a nearby is Issei, who is just as disheveled as Kurotabou. He sits next to him, lips parting into a Cheshire Cat's grin. "So, I saw you leaving with a lady last night."

    Forgetting the pain Kuro assumes a cool pose. "Uhm, indeed. After all, few can resist my charm. And how did you-"

    ""Yaaaa, Ise-chin!"" A pair of girls waves from one of the window of the house Issei left.

    "Don't forget to do the same with Mii!"

    "Sure thing Kii-chan, Mii-chan!" Issei waves back. He turns back to Kuro. "You were saying?"

    "...Nothing." For the sake of his pride as a man Kurotabou entered [extreme denial mode].

    You decide to see how things are going home. "Moshi moshi? It's me, Ise."

    "Ise-sama!" It's Mittelt who answer you. "I missed you!"

    You chuckle. "I missed you too. I like it here, it's full of good people. How are you doing there. Did something important happen?"

    "Something, something." You can almost picture her rolling her eyes. "Rias-san transferred into our house. Don't worry, I re-organized the schedule."

    Shedule? Ooh, that schedule! You suppress a perverted giggle.

    "But, the nerves! She insisted the house was too small and hired a company to expand it." Wait, what? "But Grandmother Suika keeps destroying stuff, so the best they can do now is making sure the house doesn't crumble."

    You wince. "Is it always this bad?"

    "Nope, only when she's very happy. And I haven't see her so happy in a while."

    You shouldn't be so sad, yet why are you so sad?

    "Also, somehow more youkai started appearing into town. Koneko-chan said they must be reacting to Tomofuri-sama's newfound power. So me and Shougo-san beat the most unruly ones into submission. Now there is no one who don't know your name."

    This is good. Right?

    "What's left...Kiyome Abe renews the offer to join the Tennis Club and asks if you can bring her the autograph of Youkai Nurarihyon, but a cute youkai would also do. Aika made a new batch of cosplay costumes. Your idiotic friends keep cursing your name and getting beaten over their perverted antics. Kiba-san wants your help because a certain 'Mil-tan' keeps summoing him to watch anime. Yang wants to spend a weekend with you. Ruby wonders when we fight the next organization of evildoers. Azazel-sama wants you to test his new Robo-Maid. Asia's Japanese is developing nicely. Oh, you also received a letter from the Phenex's Patriarch."

    "Phenex-Raiser's father?"

    "Yup. He wishes for you to meet him in his house in the Underworld. He doesn't say why, but he swears it's only to talk."

    Yeah. That doesn't sound suspicious at all.

    Finally, the day of the meeting arrives. The moment the sun goes down many youkai on all kinds of transportations begin arriving at the Nura Mansion and are escorted into the main meeting hall.

    And you are not invited. Well of course you aren't: one must be part of the Nura Clan for that, you're just a guest. However, you are still curious about what they are going to discuss.
