Video Games General

And a lot of jumping around from the looks of it. Though it doesn't appear to be the same kind of freeroam.

Also, enemies reacting to being set on fire? That's a first among Soulsborne-type games, I think.

Sheeeit.

This some new grounds that From is going, the combat is also much more faster pace with no Stamina Bar.

Looks cool as hell, and seems to reward aggresive fighting if the bar to allow for the stabbing is any indication.

God, please release the third game in the west already. I can't wait much longer.

For fuck sake, Compile Heartless...

So, that game has you take care of three little Witches. You gotta feed them so they doN,t go mad. Buuuut overfeed them and the dragon within them will awaken, devouring them as they get out. You then can face those dragons as a boss for a rare skill. An option you may want if you lack morality, anyway.

Very much doubt you can reach the best end if you do that, however.

Why nobody posted this yet?

I'm getting hyped as hell. This game looks sweet. It have this stylish spirit of the good old Cyberpunk 2020. Loving the look of Night City. I'll be exploring every nook and cranny possible.

Letting people die for power is a constant amirite?

A surprise announcement from Capcom, Devil Mac Cry isn't the only franchise returning in 2019. An Remastered Edition of the PS2 classic, Onimusha: Warlords, is set to arrive on all platforms this January.

Couldn't they also remaster voice acting?

Has anyone had any experience with Monster Hunter World for PC? I'm looking to get back into it after beating the console version but I'm hearing a lot of horror stories about network connection problems being even worse than they were on PS4.

Network is shit
Performance is shit
doesn't run on CPUs before 4th gen intel(as in it doesn't turn on and start)
Controls are broken

I have now beaten Doom 2016 to 100%(bar the useless weapon masteries).

Random observations about Dragon Quest XI:

Chalky looks like Grandpa Gohan's pudgy brother.
Erik's accent sometimes sounds like he's from New York and sometimes it just sounds like he's got honey in his mouth.
This game also has one odd thing in common with V
This is the only other time I know of that a DQ hero spoke and they both involved time travel.

Honestly that would be the main reason I'm skipping this one, the character designs are too hit-and-miss for me. I don't really want to spend 60 hours playing as Android 17's long-lost stepbrother, especially not when I have Xenoblade's Torna expansion to look forward to in about a week.

On that note, Spider-Man is just as awesome as everyone says it is. I had to take a break to rest my trigger finger from all that webslinging.

That's fair, I don't like his design all that much myself. He's too scrawny looking to be swinging around a greatsword.

Also, I'm not quite sure how to put it but, he also feels like he's more of a flat character than the heroes of the other DQ games I've played. I know that's weird to say about a silent protagonist but, the others at least seemed like they had hints of personality. For example, the hero from DQVIII didn't speak but, he was very expressive and it never felt like he was just an observer to the events. The guy from XI is tends to be stone-faced and feels like he's not really there sometimes. It's pretty awkward when he's staring into the void during what should be an emotional moment for him.

I am trying to find out info on the game Naroth.
I am stuck. Two dungeons in the south seat corner. Can't open doors.

Not the place for that. Check the videogames thread in the general areas. And actually, you may want to hit Gamefaqs instead.

Locking this thread.

Actually, I'll just merge this somewhere appropriate.

Another trailer for Sekiro, getting a look at some of the bosses and they look epic as fuck:

So! Borderlands. I've always been vaguely interested in the games, and I ended grabbing the lot yesterday, obscene sales being a Steam regular at this point. Any advice for somebody completely new to and barely familiar with the series? Which game to play first, how and who to play, that sort of thing?

Test out the classes to see what calls to you.
Some skills are aimed towards multiplayer, for some classes, a whole lot of them are like that.
Skill progression is slow as fuck.
Play it like a Doom rather than a modern shooter.
2 is far, far better than 1, tho a lot of things are referenced.

If your accuracy is bad, play 2, grab Gaige.
