Video Games General

A video game popped into my head that I once saw on steam but cannot remember the name of, if anyone knows it please lmk it's driving me crazy.

You know the animation of a fallout 4 character getting into power armor? Imagine that but for a pair of massive overengineerd digitigrade 3 toed metal legs, that's like all i remember and people running around in them

No it's not Biped that's the only game popping up when I search it, the art style was not cartoony from what I remember.

I think it might have been a platformer but don't quote me on that.
 
I wonder if it's worth it to buy a Switch when it's near the end of its life cycle just because there are one or two games (that I can think of right now) I want to play.

Pokemon doesn't have any Fire Snake pokemon at all. Closest thing I could find was Salazzle which is a Fire/Poison Lizard Pokemon. But no Fire Snake. You'd think this kinda pokemon would've popped up at some point, but no.
Kinda weird in hindsight.

Morbius is MCU, MCU even in earlier days was based off an established/known franchise/series/IP

Concord has no "past" to prop itself up as some kind of "legacy/sequel/remake/remaster"

Haven't watched this Morbius movie, but ever heard of the term "Narm Charm" as in "it's so bad, it's good"....that may factor

If nothing else, I will laugh my ass off if fucking Concord of all games manages to get an actual, proper PvE mode before Overwatch did.
 
I think reality just had a cramp.

Still playing Cat Fantasy. Current event has a wild twist at the end.

You visited another world in a dream that wasn't a dream...

...and that other world existed as a gacha game in the world you live in.

So a gacha game had an event where you visited another world that's a gacha game in their world.

You only discover this in, I think, the last five or so lines of the story content.

Somebody call Kevin Sorbo.
 
So there was that hilarious random dialogue in Snowbreak I felt like sharing given how funny it was.

Not exactly in those words, but the last bit was funny.

Yao: "Adjutant, help. I feel sluggish and I'm aching all over."

Adjutant: "When does that happen?"

Yao: "Whenever an holiday nears its end."

Adjutant: "Isn't that your usual 'Lazytis'?"

Yao: "And yet I keep feeling it."

Adjutant: "Maybe you wouldn't if you no longer had holidays."

Yao: "Such an evil idea has no place in this world."
 
Started playing Palworld finally.

For a Not!Pokemon action/survival/basecrafting game it's pretty good so far. Though I'm still trying to get out of the stone age.

Also kind of annoyed that Level is NOT indicative of difficulty. Level 9 Daedream: Easy. Level 11 plant elephant thing: Murdered. Level 11 Alpha Chillet: Kiting. Of course that boss fight would've been easier if I'd had any arrows because Melee attacks REALLY do not cut it.

Only other major gripe so far is the lack of tooltips on some things. What does the devil symbol on this Alpha Chillet I caught mean? I suspect I don't have enough badges to train it, but in this game that may mean it tries to murder me when summoned, so. Fear.

Really it could use a bit more of a tutorial in general, though it's probably all in the Survival Guide... but that's a wall of text I haven't gotten into yet.

Haven't gotten to any of the fucked up shit yet, but I've only spotted that first tower, so.
 
I can't help but have serious thoughts about Minecraft forks about a game that ended up turning into an absolute sandbox when one of the major ideas during the Notch Years was making it an open world RPG. Which sounds interesting on the surface but I can't really think of any executions outside of niche indie-games. With everything current still in tech-demo stages regarding 3D pixel art.

An ideal is Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode in 3D. Which basically requires a lot of background procedural generation to make an engaging world that isn't just Cubeworld Beta. Or that one open-source Linux clone that I know exist but haven't seen much gameplay of.

The super popular first-party games are easy to get, but third-party games even six months old are a pain in the arse to get physical copies of. Doesn't help that the second-hand copies go for the same price as the digital versions, at which point the problem is the Switch's internal storage, and you'll need a good micro-SSD.

No, you do not need a micro Solid State Drive (not sure that's even a thing), you need a micro Secure Digital card aka a microSD card. 2TB is the limit supported by the Switch, but I'm not sure those are easy, or cheap, to get your hands on, so a 1TB card might be a better bet, if still fairly pricy.
 
Continuing from the day before yesterday, Rusted Warfare has to be one of the BEST and most underrated indie RTS games out there with an impressive modding community. There are mod authors with multiple different total conversions which change it from a Total Annihilation successor to traditional RTS games, and more. Like, I've only scratched the surface because there are some that use the game as an engine for completely different genres.

I've ruined my sleep cycle last night on an Age of Empire-like mod that scratched the itch of leading a tribal warband which escalated into me spamming horses and boats.

But the most impressive has to be how the AI actually utilizes naval warfare when given the option rather than being forced to on naval maps.

9/10 It's the best five dollars I've ever spent.

Rusted Warfare makes most RTS shit by comparison. They UNDERSTAND the genre.
 
Favor guys, I tried modding Remnant II so I could have a new save game file that's 100% complete

But now I can't even create a new character

How do I reset the entire game to before I inserted the mods? Because when I download and redownload, it stays broken


(Is Verify Integrity of Game Files, how it's done?)

If it's on Steam that might work.

You may have to track down where it puts the save files and delete those too, since uninstalling often doesn't.

Assuming that you're on Steam, verifying the integrity of the game files is pretty simple. Just find the game in your library, right click on it, click on properties, and then go to Installed Files, and click the Verify Integrity of Game Files button. It'll take a few minutes, especially for larger games, but the process after that point is pretty automatic. Like @Scygnus above me said though, it might not work, and you might have to do a full uninstall and manually delete the saves folder.
