Video Games General

I love this game so it should be interesting to see if it is just going to be a 1:1 remake or if they will change some things.
Excellent choice of music for that trailer!

According to this https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/...troy-all-humans-remake-is-certainly-something
at least some cut content from the original will be in the remake

("the restored, much-rumoured, never before seen: Lost Mission of Area 42.")
Oh, that does sound good. Hopefully the lenght of the story-line does get improved a bit, I finished the game in what, 10 hours? Been a while since I played.

It's official. The first part of the FFVII remake has a release date of March 2020. And Keanu Reeves is going to be in Cyberpunk 2077.

And it's not just a bit part. Keanu is playing none other than Jonny Silverhand, the iconic Rockerboy of the Cyberpunk universe. And CDPR revealed not only the release date (4/16/2020), but one of the digital goodies that comes with it. a PDF sourcebook for Cyberpunk 2020, the original RPG that gave birth to 2077.

PC gamers of a certain era fondly remember Commander Keen, one of the most technically proficient side-scrolling action series to land on MS-DOS. Fans of its creators, id Software (perhaps better known for Doom and Quake), have always wondered when the relatively cutesy series might see a revival since its halcyon PC years of 1990-91.
That day was Sunday, as announced by Bethesda at its E3 press conference. But fans may not have seen this version of Keen coming.
The new Commander Keen, as shown in the above gallery, will "soft-launch" on iOS and Android "this summer" as a free-to-play platforming game. Gameplay specifics were not clarified either at the press conference or the game's brand-new announcement site, but this smartphone game appears to revolve around tapping on smartphone screens to direct players' upward hops (recalling '80s arcade games like Ice Climbers) and activate attacks.

I can't say I'm too pleased about what Bethesda just did to Commander Keen. I've seen mods for the games that looked more appealing. More text and images at the source.

Oh he is playing that character? I thought it was just speculation on the fans part.

Cyberpunk 2077

I'm really hoping that the clothing system will allow you to dress however you want to so I can run around killing things wearing nothing but pants and an open shirt with nothing underneath as a guy or a girl.

Wouldn't be surprised if they included a reaction to that possibility too.

"You have been fined ONE credit for a violation of the Nudity Statute."

Hints indicate that Johnny Silverhand will be a cyberghost of sort that might be advisor for our player character or something like that.

So this makes me wonder. From a previous gameplay demo we know that character creation will involve selection of your personal role model out of 3 options. One option wash Johnny Silverhand and other two are Morgan Blackhand and Saburo Arasaka.

It would be awesome if that choice affected who would a cyberghost that is haunting V's mind.

And from the Ubisoft corner, we have Watch_Dogs Legion. And...it actually seems interesting. The set up is post Brexit London under the heel of a techno-fashist regime out of Boris Johnson and Nigel Farge's wet dreams. Only this time, you are not playing a single character. Instead you are building a resistance movement and every NPC can be recruited ala MGS5. Recruits have unique backgrounds, skill sets and there is even permadeath if you are not careful. In fact what stole the show was one recruit, a sixty five year old British gram named Mabel. Her background: Retired Assassin.

I think I remember reading that the clothes you wear matter. Different outfits provoke different reactions. Whether you get into a club or not or whether a gang thinks you're a member or an enemy.
