  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Video Games General

None of the OG girls ? What kinda crappy Gacha is that ? That's no way to capitalize on a pre-existing franchise.

Well Checking out the new Calendar Recommendation Feature on Steam (also greatly enjoying it to!) and here's something right out of left field:
Dinoblade.
It's a Prehistoric Dark Souls style Game. You're a dinosaur. With a sword. A spinosaurus specifically. You don't need to Know anything more then that.

Some others people might find Interesting:
Rogue Eclipse.
A call back to those old Rail Shooter Space Games especially the older Star Fox Games, high speed Rogue-Like (it's not on rails but feels like it should be). You're a tiny ant whose greatest advantage is being smaller then the minimum size for the weapon targeting of your enemies (almost like Armored Core now that I say that).
Akatori.
A platformer, looks Interesting. Apparently it got Recommended to me ont he basis of me having both Ori Games. I am aware of Nine Sols so don't bother mentioning it.
Expeditions: Samurai
THQ Nordic is trying the Isometric Stealth Genre again. Still will never come close to Mimimi's success. Been soured on non-Mimimi ones ever since Daedalic tried to do it without them and made a shitty WWII XCOM version of one and I was forcibly stopped by the Mission with a time limit (this Genre is antithetical to such things).

Caved and bought Cyberpunk 2077 last week, since it was on a very steep sale, and, after fiddling with the graphics settings, my laptop can actually run it now with a tolerable amount of lag (meaning, it lags a little at startup, as most games do for me, for some reason, then runs pretty smooth and stable).

And the first thing that struck me wasn't that there's still a 9 year-old in me that giggles at seeing a floppy dick in the character creation screen, but that, once I actually got to roam around, Night City is remarkably walkable for what is meant to be an American city. It's one of these games where I genuinely eschew using a car, and instead walk, turn the radio in V's head off, and just soak in the atmosphere of a mega-city.

It might just be the "honeymoon phase" of getting a new game, but I enjoy myself thus far. And Quickhacks are just fun. I pair that with a bit of leveling into Body, so I can do a funny, blind an enemy, and then bonk them over the head with a Kanabo I looted off of some Tyger Claws ganger I killed a long while ago. It's probably suboptimal, but I'm having fun.
