Update: Never mind on this. I ran into another Xmax bug later in Act 3, remembered the hell that is one of the final rooms in the act when Xmax is enabled (an enemy type that isn't so bad when there's just two of them becomes a brick wall when there are two dozen in a cramped area), thought about how ridiculous the original final boss would be with two clones and my only having a pet build, and noped out of the mod for the rest of this campaign.

...A good thing, too, because it took 20+ minutes and two attempts just to kill one Typhon. My pets' resistances to fire and vitality damage are shiiiiiit and they don't have good enough AI to know that running (or teleporting, when I want them to keep attacking Typhon offscreen while I run in circles dodging meteors or ice shards) into a flamethrower or lifedrain cloud (the fucker kept healing itself with this!) is a bad idea. All of my builds before this were some form of melee or another, and they only had to rush in, tank his hits, and keep chugging potions.

*skips ahead, sees Zelda-style trees in the preview popup thing* "Yes! Awesome!" *cutscene starts, immediately realizes it's just a remake of Link's Awakening* No joke, I figured it out the second it started. That's a bit of a let down, honestly. Link's Awakening is good but, I was hoping for something new... :(

How good is rune factory four? I never got to play it or any of the rune factory series really.
 
And with the announcement of DQ11 heading to the Switch, I'm thrilled my backlog kept me from getting it for my PS4. As for why, it turns out that Nintendo is getting an exclusive Ultimate Edition with the following lanyaps:

  • The ability to switch between the full 3d version and a classic 16 bit 2d version on the fly.
  • Remastered sound, including dual audio tracks and fully orchestrated music throughout
  • The ability to fast forward combat
  • New story elements including character based quests.
Time to keep chipping away at the Wall O' Shame...

It was pretty nice. Rune Factory is playing like Harvest Moon, basically, except there are RPG elements to it, as you gotta explore around, beat monsters and beat dungeons too. In this case here, each heroine/husbando potential has its own unique story/quest before wedding, 6 for each gender.

The third dungeon still stick out in my head to me for the surprise horror segment. Here is a 'lovable' tidbit from a diary found in it.

Oh, you might be wondering about the color change! My pen ran out of ink yesterday. But I can still write. There seems to be red ink dripping from my right hand now.

Hmm.

Honestly, the closes thing I could think of playing rune factor is the Alteliar series for the ps2 and I've really enjoyed them. I'll have to give rune factory a look, but I have a ton of games that I want and not really enough money to be going buying them all willy nilly sadly. :(

Well, you can always wait for 5. If each game upgrade from the previous one, it should be even better than 4.
 
Apparently in pokemon quest it's possible for your rattata to jump on your slowpoke and look like its humping the lazy thing.

Actually Apex Legend is a really good and fun game that suddenly pop out. I get feeling that EA didn't put any attention to it until recent scandals and pored some funds to Respawn to release at least one game that could bring long term profit.

And I.mho I think that it won't kill Fortnite but it will be a long term rival of it. Apex will however completely murder Anthem. EA want to sell 6mil copies in a month. I hear that at best they can count on is 2-3 million copies. Bye Bye Biowere I hope this axing that awaits you won't hurt as much as you hurt your fans. It was fun knowing you.
 
The fact that EA is probably going to get alot of money back from Apex Legends kinda makes me sad?

Like yeah, it's Respawn heading it but after the whole Battlefield 4 crap that tanked EA for a while this is probably going to just no-sell whatever little damage that did.
 
Still highly expect EA to fuck it up somehow because it's showing results and that means they would want more control over it until they milked it dry with their grubby little hands and turned it into a shell of it's former self.

Complete with 999 dollar loot boxes or some shit.

Given Darkest Dungeon has been largely Lovecraft inspired, and the snowy mountain, I'll take a stab and say 'At Mountains of Madness' for DD II's inspiration.
