Video Games General

are you talking about Valley?

gameplay trailers wish I knew why youtube vids won't load the thumbnail

Holy moly! Yes , that's the game!

The new Vampire Survivors DLC is kind of insane. First of all the map is absolutely massive. So much so that once you have all of it unlocked it's difficult to traverse the whole thing in one game even with the movement speed item. They added teleporters just to make sure you can get where you want to go without wasting time. Considering the map is taking a lot from SOTN I'm a little worried that the map might get bigger after the final boss fight. In terms of characters they've pulled from just about every Castlevania. Even characters from 64 and Lament of Innocence are in it this with their own unique weapons. Just working my way through unlocking all the new characters, even rushing a few, has taken about 8 hours. And I still have more to go.

This game was already a love letter to Castlevania and being allowed to actually make use of the IP has taken it several steps further.

Which just leaves one question: Is there a vampire in the game now? Or did the dev (and Konami) allow the running joke to continue?

At least two: The (what is a) man himself and his niece from Bloodlines.
And a step further, the man himself
Is voiced by Niel "Asterion" Newborn himself.

But what may be one of the best parts of the DLC is the music. Along with getting Konami Kukeiha Club's legendary tracks, Filippo Vicarelli went above and beyond with the remixes from across nearly 40 years of Castlevania music. Worth more than the price of admission.

The mad bastards did it! Foxhole gets air combat!

Now you, too, can enjoy the pleasure that is making bombing runs on rear-line logistics centers, or being a truck driver, living in fear of enemy bombers. Or the pleasures of flying air patrols, to defend your logistics against enemy bombers.

In all seriousness, I wonder how it will play. Bombs on Logi is already a given, as are paradropping Partisans into rear hexes, but the rest is more up in the air. If we can drop supply crates for friendlies, this might open the door for some really devious plays that makes the recent game-winning Warden Invasion of the Fingers look like child's play.

All in all? I really want to see how it plays out.

Now people will be able to recreate entire Operation Overlod, not just Normandy Landing.

My concerns were correct, the new map did basically double in size, just not in the way I expected. I wasn't sure if they would go all in and add the inverted map as part of the main map and I'm glad they didn't take it that far. There are also way more characters than I initially thought. I thought there were 40 new characters. It's looking closer to 80.

I am currently playing Tales of The Neon Sea

I am stuck at the lock-puzzle to get into the old lady's apartment, so far, for this game, it's only the puzzles that are hard and frustrating

Feels oddly slow

Started playing Kingdom Come Deliverance, any tips or suggestions?

I tried to play it a few times, it's one of those wherein I have a hard time getting the basics right for a long time till perhaps months to years later, I just "get it"

It's a game wherein technique matters when it comes to melee

If you can, murder everybody else before the first part starts

>new update to Corruption of Champions Xianxia mod actually lets you goon out your soul and become a full-on succubus now
Fuck, meanwhile I'm wondering why OG CoC didn't have this. Oh well, time to corruptionmaxx
Probably because CoC was never really finished, Fenoxo got absorbed in TiTs and then CoC2.

Is anyone here familiar with Ashes of Creation? I've heard Pirate Software talk about it a few times but the official website doesn't tell me much about the game other than the races and classes and some concept art. How's it different from something like WoW or FF14 other than the fact that it's still in alpha?

I like how in Rusted Warfare's Pride of Nations: They are below us mod, you can send the police to arrest old ones and penal conscription implies you drafted them into your army.

What games would you guys recommend? Or what games you wish there is a sequel for? Or anime series or Manhwa series you guys wish received the game treatment.

I've been playing Solo Leveling and I love every minute of it.

Just ignore the tears in my eyes at my shitty gacha luck

Ever play FAR: Lone Sails? I am currently playing its sequel, FAR: Changing Tides

There is no dialogue and you can guess the story and background from what is shown in-game

Basically, just keep moving forward or to the right, from occasion, there will be puzzles and barriers keeping you from moving further

Solve them and keep going

What's the destination? Not sure, maybe finding other people

Sounds boring. Not my type but I can see the appeal of such simple game. Just the sense of exploring and upgrading will give people pleasure. Like your hardwork actually yielded results. I like it

These days I am more into "simple", which is kind of why I like turn based and metroidvania games now alongside simpler pixel,2D and 2.5D to 3D top down games

I just spent four hours trying to catch a fish in Nier Automata. Specifically the Beetle Fish that only spawns in the oasis in the desert.

I've been trying to 100% the fishing archive, which involves catching some very rare fish. I've caught a few before, which while frustrating I was usually able to catch them in an hour or two. It's not even for an achievement. They give the fishing related achievement for catching 20 different kinds of fish so you don't even have to catch the super rare ones to get it.

This one just wouldn't spawn. I was really tempted to quit after two or three hours, but then I would have just been a loser who spent so much time trying to catch a fake fish and didn't even manage to catch it. So I kept at it. Out of spite mostly.

In the end I managed to end up with around 320 some fish. Though it was probably more since the max unit stack in this game is 99 and I maxed out the two most common fish in that spot. The money from selling the fish isn't even that useful since I already bought everything and now it just piles up.

I have 45 hours in this game and I'm pretty sure 10 of them was spent doing what is essentially fish gacha.
At least I'm down to just the last fishing spot to get those rare fish at. Which going by data should seemingly be easier, probability wise.

I need help finding a video game if you'll humour me.

Basically I'm trying to remember a game from a meme of men only want one thing and it's utterly disgusting showing a long white haired woman in bed with a baby.

I remember that before somewhere she was a villain in previous games that you can romance and have her route in a jrpg.

Edit: found it Stella glow of Hilda.
