[If you want to know which of these stories is NSFW, check the first post of the thread..]

A photo finish was had indeed. NSW and War Games tying on 746; I'm giving this one to War Games because it hasn't come up yet. NSW will probably be next.
Well, that was close all right. NSW came in just two points ahead of Recoil.

After that, I predict some more close calls; first between Recoil and Wyvern, and then between All Alone and Security!. All fun and games, folks.

I can still see Wyvern giving Recoil a hard time on the next voting round. But Security! is well ahead of All Alone, so that won't be a contest.

Anyway, thanks again for voting, and I hope you enjoy reading the stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

For anyone who hasn't voted on this thread before, the voting rules go as follows:

1) UP TO six votes. I will not count anything extra, and a write-in will likely be ignored (if I want to write a different story, I will, but at my own discretion). Suggestions are welcome, but I am under no obligation to carry them out. And just remember, the more stories I am writing, the longer it will take for your favourites to roll back around.
2) First vote is worth six points, second is worth five, and so on.
3) You can't vote twice on the same story. First vote is the only one that counts. QQbot will count the last vote and ignore previous ones.
4) If I say "Voting is CLOSED", then this post comes up, with "Voting is OPEN" at the bottom, then you can vote again.
5) If I say "Voting will continue", it's still the same voting period. Voting has not restarted. You can not vote a second time.

Vote format looks like this:

[X] Alea Iacta Est - 6
[X] I, Panacea - 5
[X] Security! - 4
[X] Recoil - 3
[X] Trump Card - 2
[X] NSW - 1

Specifically: SQUARE brackets around an X, one space, and please spell at least the first word of the name of the story properly. Number of voting points comes last. Please try to format your vote properly, so as not to confuse the vote counter.

Thank you.

Voting is OPEN.

[X] All Alone - 4

The Ack Stock Exchange is on again.
Security! - 3?

Edit: Since it's been four days I filled in my remaining open votes with my own choices.

If someone votes for Confrontation II or All Alone--just Confrontation II, actually--I'll match that value (or nearest free value) vote with the fic of your choosing. Quote me if you want to take me up on this.

[X] Confrontation II - 5
[X] MirrorVerse - 4
[X] All Alone - 3

*phew*

You're right on that one. Recoil is ahead right now, 805 to 767, but it's only picked up 114 votes around on average over the last 9 votes, while Wyvern is picking up around 160. Right now it looks like Wyvern will pull ahead, but by a very thin margin -- enough for Recoil to potentially hang on to the lead. Whichever of them wins in Vote 67 will probably break the 900-vote mark in the process, and the other will break the 1k vote mark in Vote 68.

After that, yes, Security! is a solid pick for a winner in Vote 69, looking likely to join the 900-club as well. All Alone will be right behind it in Vote 70, scoring its first win since it joined the running. Trump Card may be close on its heels, however; possibly inside the 30-vote margin, so you might seen an upset there. If not, then Trump Card will handily win Vote 71.

Then Vote 72 brings Alea Iacta Est back into the spotlight, where it narrowly beats out my personal favorite Meet the Heberts, jumping up two vote cycles compared to previous predictions. Meet the Heberts gets bumped back to Vote 73, and in turn bumps Wyvern back to Vote 74. Thanks to getting bumped back a cycle, both stories look liable to break the 1k mark, with Wyvern possibly beating 1,100.

Not to be out-done, I, Panacea elbows its way up past the 1k mark in Vote 75, but One More Trigger is in no rush and ambles easily to the high 900s.
I just want you to all know that I didn't try and muck with the results this time. Maybe when I get bored enough I'll try and engineer a 3-way tie, but until then...
Thank you for not doing so. Recoil came in 26 votes ahead of last prediction, compared to NSW's only 10 votes ahead. Wouldn't have been hard to push that one way or the other.

On other accuracy points, War Games came in 1 vote behind prediction after its first win. Proportionally, Bait & Switch was the most accurate at 99.45%, while I, Panacea was least accurate at 94.85%. Overall accuracy for the last set of predictions was 97.65%.

OK - my policy from this point is that I will copy top eligible vote of somebody who gives "I, Panacea" 6 points and quotes this post

Slippery Slope for 2?

Shit, man. I remember when I first found this thread around vote 15, it was rare we had a fic past 500 points that didn't win. Now we're racing into the thousands.

Crazy.

Last slot for Confrontation II? Give BuddyCop!Sophia some love?

Note that once the voting opens again (as of now) the votes for NSW will be brought back to zero.

Voting is OPEN. I'm off to write that chapter. Cheers.

Yeah, we've been seeing some serious vote count inflation over the last nine months. We haven't had a vote total below 600 since July, and haven't had one below 500 since May.
