If the second story was literally anything else on the list except Recoil, I'd have gone for it.
Slippery Slope is my least favorite SFW fic on the list*, but Recoil is my second least favorite. As the situation stands now, I'm not voting for Recoil unless there are only seven or eight stories left and there's literally nothing else to vote for.

And just for the record, no, I didn't expect MirrorVerse to lose this round either.


*) I wanted to say "least favorite fic by Ack", then I remembered about Century Z, which I hate in advance because zombies; I wanted to say "least favorite Worm fic by Ack", then I realized that Bait and Switch might actually be worse [I haven't read it yet]; I wanted to say "least favorite SFW Worm fic by Ack", then I remembered about Conflict, which is so weird and confusing that I dislike it even more than Recoil

Well, if you can suggest anything else that has a remote chance to beat out Slippery Slope this round, I'll consider it. In the meantime, a 0 differential is still better than a negative one.
