Not contradictory at all. Prologue 1 starts on page 8. Epilogue 4 ends on page 483. After that, there's four sections of information about the story and then four sections of information about the book as a book.

Not a story post, I'm afraid (sorry). More of a heads-up.

Due to a sudden increase in my workload over Christmas (who woulda thunk?) I won't be able to get my novel fully edited and published by the first of January.

As a result of this realisation, I'm going to be pushing back the publication date to the first of February (which will also hopefully give stores the chance to preorder it before the official release date).

However, this does you, my loyal fans, no good at all.

So, starting in the next couple of days, I'm going to begin releasing my novel (for free!) in QQ, SB and SV.

Specifically, I'll be posting one chapter (or chapter-equivalent) per week, ongoing as long as there seems to be interest. (Note that as the book has four prologues, four epilogues and 61 chapters, it'll be a while before we get anywhere with that).

I'm thinking I'll post one section on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of each month, which will get us to Chapter 3 by about the time the book actually sees publication.

So yeah, if you're willing to wait, you can read the whole thing for free. Eventually. Or you can buy it. Your choice.

Anyway, bed now. Work is kicking my butt.

Also, new fic chapter up in the next few days, hopefully.

I've read about some people who were explicitly disallowed from having a work available for free when publishing it. I expect you already checked, but…you did check that that's contractually permitted, right?

I interpreted the contradictoriness as referring to how you were supposedly "slacking off" despite having written 470+ pages of story.

Pretty sure that's the entire work. And besides, I'm self-publishing. Not a contract in sight.
