Mmmm... I wouldn't be so certain.

On paper, NSW is slated to win Vote 66 just shy of 800 votes, but Recoil and Wyvern are both coming up fast. The margin will be only about 20-30 votes, and votes can easily shift by that much from one vote to another -- see the Accuracy section below.

Assuming NSW stays on top (hehehe), Wyvern is still raking in the votes fast enough that it will handily win Vote 67 by a 40-vote margin, possibly breaking the 900-vote threshold, followed by Recoil winning Vote 68 with a good chance of passing 1,000 votes. Not much possibility for upset there; the nearest competitors are too far behind and not earning votes fast enough.

That trend continues as Security! has Vote 69 locked down in the mid-900s, but we've finally got some close competition in Vote 70: All Alone looks to be in the lead, but Trump Card is right on its heels, and Meet the Heberts isn't far behind. On paper it looks to be Alone -> Trump -> MtH, but they're close enough that things could change dramatically by then. Either way those three will dominate Votes 70 through 72.

Then it's new kid on the block Wyvern again, back in the mid-900s for Vote 73. Alea Iacta Est will try to join the 1k club in Vote 74, as will I, Panacea in Vote 75.


In terms of vote accuracy, we had a surprising upset this time around: Hostage Situation defied all predictions, coming in 52 votes higher than expected -- a difference of 85.47%, more than double that of anything other than Confrontation II, which itself got 28 votes higher than last forecast. Most predictable was Junior Hero, earning just 1 vote more than anticipated at 99.82% accuracy.



...aaand I just realized I forgot to vote for myself last cycle, and my vote could've put NSW over the top. Goddammit. :mad:

I blame the fact that I did my predictions update on my cell phone while at work. I normally do predictions and my own vote at the same time, but it's a lot harder to copy-paste my vote on the phone as opposed to on my PC. Then when I finally got home, I forgot that I still needed to vote, and never went back to do it before the vote was called.
