  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.

Watched threads and emails

Just checked and everything was unchecked. I do not set threads I post on as Watched and I should not receive emails when someone post in. Yet I discovered my spam box was filled with alert messages about new posts in Watched threads. What the hell?
 
I just checked and this is not the case with me.

I had to check because I only check me email maybe once a month or so so I wouldn't have noticed.
 
I thought posting in a thread causes it to become watched?

What's the date on those emails? Cause back when we switched over to Xenforo, it autowatched a bunch of a threads for people.
 
Well, found the function to unwatch everything, as well as something to stop email notifications. Hopefully, that's the end of my problem.
 
Where is the section to turn off email notifications? On most XenForo styles its simple but either I keep missing it or its MIA.

Very annoying getting emails I don't want :/
 
Meanwhile, I have OP posts watched, but unfortunately, ever since the switch it has defaulted to every post by OP instead of *Threadmarked* posts by OP. We may need to ask for the same thing Spacebattles has, which is "threadmark alerts only" email options.
