Weird is one thing. Bounce shots in a desert, the terrain that is famous for having no noticeable terrain features to bounce shots off of, is another thing. If you want bounce shots wait until a landscape where they'll be usable at all.

If we want weird upgrades we should do something like, idduno, having our shots carry sand with them to blind what we shoot at or something like that.

Ricocheting bounce shots off multiple enemies for kill chains. Also, it forces the enemy out of the city where the bounce shots are useful into the desert; where they're wide open and vulnerable to Velociraptor surprise attacks.

Man what? Force the enemy out? We are Dr. Wily, the enemy is coming to us, or we are coming to them. Also, bounce shots are always going to be harder than hitting something where there aren't obstacles, so there will be no "forcing out" going on.

Now THAT is a Wily worthy idea. We should totally make that a 'desert' upgrade... Hahahah!!!

But seriously Ender of Worlds has a point here... AND our first mission is in a Scrap yard. But even in the open desert it is a useful ability even one on one because you can play unpredictable and use the Ground to itself to bounce shots and suddenly your enemy can't decide if trying to dodge or going straight at you is more dangerous.

If the enemy's coming to us, then our base will obviously be created to maximize the bouncing shots advantages. If they aren't, then we're going to storm their city; full of walls and shit that are obvious bounce fodder.

And yes, there will be 'forcing out' going on because a city or fortress where you can't predict where the enemy's attacking you is a shitty ass defensive position. The bounce shots make proper prediction and defense against Sniper Joes extremely difficult. To nullify that, they have to move into a location where the shots can't bounce: the desert. Away from their city, and into Dinoman and his army of skeleton dinosaurs that he built up while they were holed in.

And how do we know that bounce shots just won't fizzle out once they hit their first enemy? Our Sniper Joes are sub-standard right now. They most likely don't have the energy required to make shots do that, if it's feasible at all.
And the anti-defensive properties of the bounce shots are a biiiiit less than you think. Sure, we can hit any point behind a wall/around a corner at will; we still need LoS to actually SEE where to aim, and if we have LoS we might as well just shoot them.
Also, we aren't the American Cartoon version of Wily. He isn't wacky for the sake of being wacky and gimmicky.

Plus, I would of accepted something like bouncing shots for our next Robot Master. Bouncing shots would of been perfectly acceptable next turn in my mind once we got the energy upgrades, which would of mitigated one of their major drawbacks.

Plan DespraJoe.

One of the few times you actually thought up a good name for a new type of robot. You reward yourself more coffee.

Now the alterations to the base Joe Unit aren't much compared to a robot master. Bouncing shots are easy. Just need more force in the buster projectile and to alter the way the plasma shield disperses to make sure it can ricochet properly. Well you've done worse to the laws of physics making a robot master. So it's not that bad.

But the more rewarding idea is the Targeting System. The method used to calculate tragedies and paths are something of a masterpiece. And considering the fact that the Joe can link into DinoMan's network and feed all this information to all of the other units. Well this Joe is made to be a spotter.

Benefits
++Targeting System: The Beaut of the Upgrade. It's so handy that you might just give it to everything that can handle the system requirements.

+Buster Mode: Bouncing Shot: Alternate Buster Mode. Not much really. It does have a few neat tricks to it.

Junkyard Surveillance

Your flying camera's have seen a lot. And by a lot you mean very little. Not much activity however. Lots of interesting parts that well shouldn't have been thrown out. You could fix most of them in hours. It's like they don't understand parts recycling. It's just wasteful.

And then you see it. Almost Brand new. It's a beauty. How could someone have throw that out.

Your CamBots Catch some movement to the southwest. You switch the feeds to get a better look.

Huh. That's based off one of you models. Junkman, a bit more solid though. You look a bit harder. Broken eye unit, smashed vocalizer. Damage to the left arm and right leg.

No Weapons Units? That's inefficient. How does the unit protect itself? It doesn't make sense.

Two humans are dragging it away into a crusher.

Your eyes glint dangerously. This doesn't make sense. They should be repairing him.

You switch on the Audio Feeds.

"Finally getting rid of this ancient piece of garbage. Fitting that the Garbage Robot goes out with the rest of the trash."

"You already smashed it enough with your crowbar. Just let it wind down. You don't need to throw it to the crusher."

"Need? I don't need to. I want to. I had to listen to this piece of trash order me around for a year. I'm glad that it's finally reached the Expiration date."

Your hands are shaking with anger. This. This is worse then you remember. This has the making of a giant powderkeg. A true uprising of Robot Masters. Nothing like your little trysts with trouble. That was you trying to let out some of the pressure you knew were on the Robot Masters.

The worse part is, They are throwing away YOUR WORK. It may not be created by your hands. But you know that he's built off of specs that you made. That makes him YOURS. You will not tolerate disrespect to your creations.

And they will know it.

DinoMan.

GO WILD.

And the Junkyard is now an Explosion of Activity.

Sniper Joes and Mets are wildly grabbing whatever they can find and bringing it to you. DespraJoes are running and gunning with some type of security robot that has an interesting little arm mechanism. You want to take it apart to see how it works.

But DinoMan, DinoMan is facing down the humans. His oppressive size and shape plus his glowing red eyes are massively intimidating. But you built him that way after all.

But belaying his size he moves faster then even you thought possible and quickly aims and destroys a odd pistol of unknown make when one of the two pulls it out.

DinoMan's booming voice cuts through the battlefield.

"I forgive once."

DinoMan slams them into a wall. The raptor skull on his arm is around one's throat and the elongated horns of the Tricera skull is holding up the other.

"I could easily turn you into cripples. Like you did to my sibling. I could rip you apart with my bare hands and you wouldn't be able to do a thing. Don't worry too much. Unlike you I have some mercy. I'll only break a single limb on both of you."

DinoMan breaks the one that used the Crowbar's left arm and the right leg on that had the pistol and drops them to the ground.

Noticing the fading power levels on the unit his diagnosis is reading as G-02SE. He picks him up and puts him on his shoulder.

He teleports out. Leaving a ravaged Junkyard.

Well now. Aside from all of the anger you have for the stupid idea of Expiration dates. You've come into quite a windfall of parts and a new robot master. Sure you'll have to customize it. But you've done much more with a lot less before.

Knowing the fact he's based off Junkman does put a lot off of your shoulders in terms of fixing him. But converting him into a battle ready Robot Master? You'll need a big part for that. And wouldn't you know it? You just got several.

[X] You look at the condenser, the Electromagnet... and the Wind turbines. How could these people have seen JUNK? WHY would such lovely pieces of technological prowess be literally tossed to the scrap heap why it was enough to make you mad as hell. And madness was madness and madness Always got the old brain juices flowing. You could see A hydro-man, a hurricane-man, and a crush-man beacon you from the heap... three different bots... and yet.... and yet... the breeze blows, the slight sprinkle of rain drizzles lightly across your machines on the flight home... and like Lightning, inspiration strikes up a frenzy.
Yes, you can see it now, water and wind, the power of lightning and Thunder... a storm of power... yes you could see it. All you needed do was rework the three machines, find things in common create links and reassemble them nicely... yes yes this would be glorious, you can't help but think of the driving power of a full fledged storm, lighting strike generators leaving behind magnetized zones where they hit, working with the Condenser which worked with the powerful charges created quite nicely. Explosive water control whips, using the lightning strike generators to literally break down the water at a molecular level when ever it hit a target, causing a wild explosive reaction... And my, my those beautiful turbines... with them, flight and wind control would be possible... enough control that you could easily have your creation throw bomb blasts of concentrated wind... and then to combine the three... lighting in water in wind... bombs with enormous, layered destructive potential... you'd made a weapon from a weather bot before... but this time you would be make a weapon from the get go... every aspect of it full of power and majesty. Yes... this was indeed a worthy project. Yes, here and now BusterStorm-Man would be Born! And the best part was, the wind, thunder and water effect would be funellable into a conversion generator where water was used as fuel for the robot master... beautifully efficient... the Power would be Magnificent!

[X] You need more information on the situation... send the Cambots to scout out the enemy CAREFULLY. Keep and eye on the man in the street and have your robots listen out for rumours and patch into news ect. There have to be answers for this and you need to know what they are.
- [X] Examine that arm mechanism of the junkyard guard bots and what ever was left of those odd pistols from the junkers. Time for you to really get down to figuring out if these miserable idiots have made Any kind of progress at all.

Well thing is i get you completely... but the idea that im coming with is basically boiling down 'all the things' into a single cohesive package which ultimately has one theme to it. More complex bots have been made before, but Wiley always works best within a theme. And my write in is all about that singular theme.
