Superman and Mickey Mouse should have been public domain decades ago. You'll note that they aren't.
That's copy right extension via lobbying, not altering a Supreme Court ruling. The latter is significantly more public, especially with AI being such a hot topic now.
Also more likely to be opposed by big names and money since a significant percentage of rather wealthy folks in Hollywood, including several actors and directors, are directly against writers not getting paid properly. Trying to remove the profession entirely is just going to make everyone with a brain realise that they're next.
