I can't stop thinking about the recent death of Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, the young Brazillian woman who died in a rope jumping freak accident where she was literally thrown to her death.
The footage of them throwing her is so surreal because she trusted them completely. It looked nothing like watching somebody get murdered. No, struggle, no fight. Just someone casually thrown off of a bridge while everyone else just watched and some people, including her fiance, recorded.
I can't help but think this is what it could possibly be like being murdered by a cape with master powers. Nothing dramatic or showy. You're just casually killed before anyone knows what happened, and then people are suddenly scrambling for answers and wondering HOW nobody noticed or stopped it.
So I wrote a short rough fic. Didn't put too much thought or editing into this one.
